- We met Ben Thompson from Two Door Cinema Club at The O2 Arena recently & he was kind enough to talk us through his gear for us to share with you all! Big shout out to Ben for chatting with us, & for getting us hot food backstage! Absolute legend! Ben plays DW drums & Zildjian cymbals.
Also thanks to Alex Oakley for his help making this video possible! @alexjoakley

love the kits walkthroughs!!
wish we could see some of the artist's drumming though
Let him in the fucking band already-this guy is chill as fuck!-plus someone needs to take some of Alex's ego away-Sam and Kevin are too nice thats why Alex lets the game get to his head.-and just in case it's not implied he's a kickass drummer
What was the company he used for his headphone amp and rig for tracks? Couldn’t understand with his accent!

You can see how insanely warped those wood hoops are at 1:58. No wonder he's got two full moon gel on his batter...
Only drummer that I can find with a 20 inch kick with a 16 inch depth. Most rockers want the biggest, longest kick and I can see why for the visual appeal. But I never understood why people say its because people won't hear them. if you are playing a mic 'd venue (Which if you are at Two Door Cinema Club's level of fame or higher thats sort of a given for venues) you can I always turn the volume up on the mics and depending on how you mix can get pretty close. Obviously a 20 can't get a low pitch like a 26, but I just never understood it when people say it's for volume and that people won't hear them. If you are playing a rock bar with no mics a 20 or 22 could fill up a room that size pretty easy. But there could be other things I'm not considering. I personally like 20 x 14 or 22 x 14 bass drums. To each their own preferences!
Yeah it's stupid because live they always mic anyway, they just want bigger drums to look bigger really
what is that sthumper?
+Tony Menchaca Thats the mighty BC gigster. Best throne thumper out there if you ask me!
i dont get why hes not in the band

I don't get it either, he's been their live tour drummer since Beacon, and also I think for their new album Gameshow. But I think Alex did the drums for the new album. But I think he does other projects with other bands as well.
He don't want to.
They didn't have a drummer in the beginning so I guess they just wanna keep using live drummers just for shows, creative control and that type of crap ($ as well, of course)
