Blue-green shelf clouds always get to me - I remember riding my dirtbike back in 2011 on a sunny day, looking over and noticing a blue-green shelf coming my direction and going "oh no". Rode back home as fast as I could, and as soon as I got the bike in the garage...60-80mph winds and torrential downpour hit the house like a wall of bricks.
Crazy how the beautiful blue-green aura transitioned into terrorizing wind & nighttime-like darkness in the middle of the day...reminds me of animals that use 'aggressive mimicry' to hunt, appearing as something beautiful/beneficial to, and then attacking their prey.

Reed and Brian, I started following the YT storm chasing scene 2 years ago and really got into the radar watchers and their whole production with storm chasers on the ground. This year when y'all intercepted the Cole tornado I was shown a whole other side of storms, tornados, and knowledge of storms. Each storm I am now watching your stream to learn more than what the radar can teach. I saw the Spalding, Loco and Newton intercepts live on your stream when they happened. Keep up the incredible work! Sierra and Jordan have been awesome to have along in these last few chases and have captured so much incredible footage for you. Stoked for them too!

Shelf clouds are a big indicator of a storm's outflow boundary. I've experienced this myself and oh boy was it beautiful before it hit with heavy rain and wind. Also, in the right conditions, along outflow boundaries, gustnado spin-ups can occur. Reed, you should do a shelf cloud compilation soon!
