OK what am I missing. Jeff vandalized OP’s house and he got 6 months in jail. When he got out he tried to assault OP with a knife and got 2 years in jail. As noted years later Jeff wrote OP to apologize to him and even helped to fix OP’s home from when it was vandalized. So OP kept his house torn apart for years until then? Makes no sense.

Often times the actions of the HOA are dictated by 1 or 2 individuals that think they have more powers than they actually do. If the rest of their 'constituents' knew what they were up to they'd be trouble.

My husband 70 years young still rides the carts through the store with or without any of our grandkids with us. I do not see why this would bother anyone that wasNOT a grumpy bully. Sorry this happened to you. Thankfully we have never ran into anyone having issue with my manchild husband that I love dearly.

I, fem, like to reenact the vintage commercials with products from the shelves. Example, "please don't squeeze the Charmin, Mikey will eat anything, plop plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is."

Title story I would’ve told the contractors to to stop or I would sue each one for illegal destruction of property seeking $500K in damages and I would press charges for that and trespassing. For Karen I would sue for $1 million in damages. I would also place a lien on every property that was mistakenly on my land in order to sell they would have to pay me for my land. My thing would be pay me and sue the developers to get it back. 43:51 I would’ve bought chemical paint stripper and a valve core removal tool. Or take the plates and report an abandon vehicle with no plates is blocking my driveway, though it depends on if there’s cameras nearby and how cooperative the neighbors are if the city doesn’t have cameras.

From the US here a sixth or seventh grader can get a paper route that starts about 530 or six so they gotta get up at 4:30 in the morning they could either ride their bikes or have their guardian take them in their vehicle to go around with the paper on the route
At least that’s probably how it was when I was a kid, I’m from generation X by the way
I want my two dollars lol
That’s a quote from a movie called better off dead featuring a very persistent paperboy

30:11 Being nice to customers who were "Karens", doing my job, it was always satisfying when they said they were going to complain to the store manager about me. I would give them the name of the manager and direct them to the office upstairs. This would make the even angrier because I did not give them satisfaction of begging for their forgiveness. The very few who followed thru with the threat got nothing as well because they stupidly told the truth, and management told them I was following store policy exactly. I'd get a report of what was said and done, and management would thank me for being polite and following store policy while also providing a solution that i did not need to do. I was a concessioner who rented space in the store, like the entire wing I was on. So I could offer more solutions than the store could and would tell the customer that too.

My friend owned a 3+ acre property. Her house was large and tastefully decorated. On her property there was a small stream. She built a solid bridge across the stream. On the other side of the bridge she built an elegant “She shed.” It had a kitchen, a fireplace attractive couch with matching leather chairs plus a toilet. This spot was were she read & decompressed. Nearby she built a large barbecue grill. Then she had the area landscaped & dotted with Adirondack chairs.
Then her neighbor, closest to her shed died.. The New Owner decided that his property ran to the stream. There was about a half area of forest land that he planned to clear cut putting in gardens & walking paths. My friend came to welcome the new owner. Then NO revealed all his invasive plans for all “his” property. My friend was stunned & informed the NO that was her property. Both people became angry. My friend is a first rank lawyer. First she sent copies of all the relevant documents about the property to NO. Second, she went for a temporary injunction blocking any changes to her property. When it finally went before a Judge my friend easily won as it was her land. The NO was less than pleased.

Mechanic scam -- My story is when I still drove my Toyota Minivan -- Went to the auto shop to get a new battery for her and paid $125 for the battery and having it installed as my old battery had 1 dead cell.
WELL--------the jerk took out my battery, covered it in plastic wrap brought it out and replaced my battery. Thought all was good UNTIL I pulled out, drove home, went to bed, got up the next morning, went to church and my van died--2 of the guys had to push me into the parking lot to get her off the road. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR my new battery had 2 dead cells now and the one member said that the battery he sold me was the SAME exact one that he had removed as it was the ORIGINAL battery that I had when I bought my van.
This place is on 7th Street next door to a laundry.

For the HOA story, I would’ve filed a lawsuit against the homeowners association for a bare minimum of $30,000,000 to $40,000,000 as well as demanded that the homeowners association in its entirety be disbanded and all members of the HOA board jailed for a bare minimum of 5 to 10 years

Mechanic scam story reminds me of back in the day when I had just moved from overseas and 'inherited' my mom's Dastsun B210 hatchback. She couldn't stand to sell her baby but I hated driving that car even though it was a very reliable cheap car to operate. Mom was only 5'2 and the car fit her but at 5'10 my knee hit the dash every time I used the clutch and my head hit the roof with every bump.
The car was about 18 years old when I took charge of it and one day I took it in for brakes. By then Datsun had ceased to exist but the mechanic said it was not an issue. However when I went to pick up the car I couldn't even drive it out of the parking lot, almost no brakes at all! The mechanic checked but wouldn't take it on the road, just insisted everything was to specs.
I called the local Nissan dealer (Nissan was a sort of rebranded Datsun) and talked to the service department. They offered to check it for free so I had it towed there. Long story short the 1st place had used specs for the 280Z sports cars as those were the only references they had, a far cry from the B210. Nissan fixed the car for free and helped me file the state paperwork for a claim against the 1st mechanic. Eventually that mechanic had to refund me and pay Nissan for the work along with fines.
Yes that meant I ended up getting not only the work I went in for but extra work too for free as Nissan insisted on replacing extra stuff like the master cylinder because 'you never know when it will go out and parts and knowledge on old discontinued makes and models aren't always easy to come by'. I wasn't going to argue since they assured me there was no cost to me, they would write off anything the state didn't allow.
I think the state law said something about making the car safe in regards to the system that was worked on. I also think they were just kind of excited to work on that model of car. I don't think they got the chance to very often as it was an economy model and not likely to be brought to a dealer where everything is more expensive, at least in the US.
