I can’t imagine carrying all that weight. It’s got to be exhausting. I know it doesn’t mean much as many people say it, but I really do appreciate all you soldiers and your families for your commitment and sacrifices. Thank you, again.
Yeah. It’s kind of you get used to the weight and feel naked when you don’t have it on your shoulders. As stupid as it sounds but that’s how I feel all the time. 1LT here from GER…
I served 6 months in Sangin 2009/10 with the British army. Nasty nasty place. We took the fight to the enemy but we didn’t have the numbers to hold the ground. The USMC seem to have achieved that. Well done them.

Have you ever wondered what these forces are doing in Afghanistan? He had been in Afghanistan for twenty years and could not bring peace. Why did he come to Afghanistan under the pretext of bringing peace and destroy Afghanistan instead of living there?

Marines' spirit is badass. Love it. Also love the fact that any desk clerk, the commanding General of USMC, cooks etc all got to show they can handle an M-16. Wish my country had that attitude among our brass too. Infantry salute to my American brothers. Hooyah and respect
pls do something about the heavy gear they carry. You expect them to carry such heavy gear breaking their backs. Soldiers are tiered even before they go into battle. Meanwhile Tabliban are running in Flip Flops and won the war. This has to change.
I have an underdeveloped impression that the sort of people that rudely compare one armed service to another tend to not be people who themselves are in an armed service.

HoooRah Good Job Marines your continuing efforts will give and continue to cut off the safe refuge for the Taliban I'm very impressed with the progress as well working with the locals there's no better ally to have because helping them results in a victory winning of hearts and minds will help us bring the War to a close and eventually return security to local Afghan authorities Outstanding keep up the good work all of you Godspeed and Godbless all of you...
God Bless every one of you and saying a simple "Thank You" just doesn't seem enough for what you do and the sacrifices you made and continue to make. Watching this (in its edited and simplistic version) gives me a whole new profound respect for what you do, so thank you all from the bottom of my heart. May God Bless and be your shield of protection, keeping you safe from evil's harm. P.S. There's nothing sexier than a man in uniform protecting our freedoms.
Semper Fi! My time as an 0311 were both the best and worst times of my life (i dont know if that makes sense). Still I wouldn't trade those 4 years active duty for the world.
Thank you to all the brave men and women and their families for their honor. Thank you for posting videos about Iraq War. I'm a history major and I was young during the start of the war so I don't remember anything about it so I'm going a paper for it. Your videos have helped me a lot
Your country that is the homeland of many born around the world, represents much more. Hopefully for the sake of those who do not live there but we appreciate their crazy, fruitful and dangerous liberties, their cowboy authenticity and their collective intelligence, those who have the great privilege of being born in the United States or became adoptive Americans are able to defend it. The world is plagued by little men in charge of entire countries and towns; and of "presidents" notices that only simulate laws, completely indifferent to justice and the spirit of law. These tyrannies - some equipped with the atomic bomb - cannot afford the "bad example" that gringo give to the world. That is the question.
My son fought the taliban with his company from the dark horse outfit k-3/5 first marine division. 7 months of protecting his Marines with a M-40 A5 sniper rifle. I've never had a longer wait in my life! When he finally made it back to Texas at the airport, I was the happiest person in the world. I raised my son deer hunting and never thought that he would take his skills made for deer hunting would be put to use in warfare, but he swore that after 9/11 to join the marine corps and after graduation from hi school, he was on his way to Dallas and then to Camp Pendleton. When asked if he'd done any shooting, he said that his dad is a gun nut, and that he uses many different rifles for deer hunting according to the type of terrain that was being hunted in. The next question was which rifle did my son prefer to hunt deer with, and my son told that instructor it was the 270 winchester to which he said, Dam boy, you is exactly what the doctor ordered! Semper Fi.
As a civilian I find these insights fascinating and at times moving. The bravery of some of these guys under this pressure is awe-inspiring. I would say though that perhaps it'd be an idea to censor the faces of locals if they helping marines with directions and especially the whereabouts of enemy positions. This video alone has millions of views and if the wrong set of eyes were to see these faces helping US marines, it could surely put their lives in serious danger.
No way!!! You mean the most trained specialist team gets sent in first and leaves last? They don’t send in the general army troops first to secure ground snd establish foothold they send in bloody people trained especially for that role!! Next you’ll be telling me that the engineers set up comms and do structural stuff not the chefs
I don't understand why people feel the need to compare the RMC to the USMC. Two very well trained forces, but one is much larger than the other. There should be no disrespect to either of the two, and it does not matter who is "best". People argue all the time about it on the internet but I wonder how many actually have a clue? The majority i've spoken to have loved working alongside each other. When I join in a few months, I look forward to working alongside the USMC if given the opportunity, or any other nations armed forces. It will be an honour and I would treat them not by flag or nation, but as a soldier and a man or woman doing their job.

Where are all the women soldiers? Every movie I watch has women in combat roles. Wait, are we being lied to by Hollywood?😅
There’s plenty of women in the military but VERY rarely are they in CQB or on the front lines
MILITARY IS A VERY HARD JOB, BUT LAW OF JUSTICE MUST BE MAINTAINED ON THIS BEAUTIFUL PLANET.
Anyone watching this after Taliban takeover Kabul?
