Dropsonde found a pressure of 877 MB but since this was in the eyewall, it is most possible that the pressure was a tad more intense than suggested. Almost everybody knows of the first three: 2005, 2010 and 2020.
    Very few people know that it's happened a fourth time, or that this fourth instance is actually the first in chronological order... or that this instance has nothing to do with the AMO.
    Finally, ForceThirteen allows to to see that fourth instance... the first and only time where the winning basin celebrated by throwing Shrimp On The Barbie.

      Most of the time the recon in recon era of wpac does not go to the right front area which is the strongest part of a typhoon (which is one of the reasons of the low wind estimate for typhoons at that time) and the main goal is to penetrate to the eye to record pressure which in the case of Nora, recon did not penetrate to the eye.

    My anylis on this storm is 216 mph and a pressure of 872 mb Since the eye looks very round shaped and because it became a 215 mph storm is because the eye temperture was high and the ocean was very warm and so it became a monster worldwide record beast!

    • @kylerrabaya5197
      @kylerrabaya5197 3 года назад +1

      An exact number for me would be 218 mph 867 mbar (could be higher honestly) if recon didn’t record it at peak. If recon did record it at peak, I put it as a 215 mph storm 874 mbars.

    • @everz42
      @everz42 3 года назад

      That dosent make sense then it would be stronger then typhoon tip 190 mph 870 mb *nora* would become the most intense tropical cyclone on earth! It would surpass *tip*

    • @everz42
      @everz42 3 года назад

      Not to mention it would break tip's record!

    • @kylerrabaya5197
      @kylerrabaya5197 3 года назад

      IamNotEverBg YT 2nd There are more storms that surpassed Tip in intensity, that being Mike, Nora, Gay, June, Joan, and a few more. The most likely storms would be Mike, Gay, and Nora.

    • @everz42
      @everz42 3 года назад

      @@kylerrabaya5197 Also do you really think that any recon data came in for tip? 190 mph 870 millabars?? That's not right. How can such a huge tropical cyclone be a 190 mph typhoon? But I would give tip at least 210 mph 871 millabars. If recon data did came in with 190 mph 870 millabars I would be surprised how such a Typhoon that has low wind but very low millabars be such a thing?

  • @kylerrabaya5197
