For the Sons of Horus, I can recommend the xpress paint Heretic Turquoise from Vallejo as an alternative - it must be designed with SoH in mind, as it comes out as close to that seafoam green as anything ive seen. Some coelia greenshade over the top and bam.
Thank you. There’s some great colours out there, if I wasn’t deliberately trying to restrict myself to Citadel Contrast for base layers, then this would have been a great option.
I will definetly use this as a reference. I saw a different colour sheme of some models where they only painted certain upward facing parts of the mini in their legion colour and the rest stayed black to give some hard contrast for the minis
It’s such a shame how close they will end up being, my original plan was to have done lots of videos and have an army done by now, this will definitely be slowed by TOW.
@ronstarius Oh dear it was late and my brain was failing me, must have had the red I was using on them in mind. Edit: Though I’ve just looked the saved images I used in the video and they say Word Bearers not Flesh Tearers. Obviously Flesh Tearers Red was the Contrast Paint I used on them.
@MiniatureRealms yes as far as I remember you mentioned the pros and cons of blood angel and flesh tearer contrast when painting word bearers and don't remember mention of them as flesh tearers
My adhd is in control so I’m painting Iron Warriors, Emperor’s Children, Death Guard, and Alpha Legion. For my traitors lol.
😂 Amazing, I have to work very hard to stop myself doing the same.
SO happy to see some one can pronounce apothecary correctly! BIG FAN.
😂 Thank you 😊

That sounds like a really interesting approach, would definitely be striking and work well when looking down on the table during a game.
I hope this box becomes available soon again. Then again, I need my money for the Old World 😅

Great video, think I’m going to main Solar Aux but will keep this saved for when I add some Alpha Legion!
Thank you 🙂. I had a Solar army at 32mm, so definitely tempted to do something there myself.
im doing lapha legion
I think that’s the way I’m going to go
You made a slight mistake and put Iron Hands instead of Iron Warriors in your legion labelling however the Iron Warrior colour scheme is nice
Doh, that will teach me to copy and paste
And Flesh Tearers instead of Word Bearers... 🙂@@MiniatureRealms

@andrewswinyard1642 Thank you, maybe I’m not losing my mind 😂
Everyone says Dekulz when it's DEEEkalz
I think may depend on where you come from. Lots of oddities in the English language and pronunciation.
I am Alpharius
