Jen is a real angel and her manner with the elderly patients in particular is so sympathetic and comforting.Poor Brian and his caring wife- he must have felt so scared - dementia is a wicked infliction and with no cure. Let’s hope research will find a way to slow the process down or even prevent its oncoming.
Science indicates that, unless there's a genetic predisposition, some kinds of dementia can be prevented (e.g. vascular dementia) by intelligent diet (few UPFs, little sugar, very little alcohol, etc.) and exercise.
I love Jen, the Senior Sister, she has such compassion for all her patients, if I had to go to the hospital I’d want her as my nurse, she’s such a sweetheart ❤
Jen is an angel I love her so much!!! I adore the way she treats the elderly patients and she doesn't speak to them as if they're children. That is important to me. You can use a less harsh or a softer tone but to speak to someone who is elderly or has lowered mental status has always irritated me. Jen is perfect to work with these patients ❤ I wish we had nurses like her in my hospital. Love you nurse Jen never change ❤❤
This was a tough episode for me. The hollow look on Brian's face was the same as my Daddy's before he passed. His dementia got really advanced when he had to go into a convalescent/physical therapy center after an extended stay in the hospital. The only people he recognized or remembered were those of us he was around daily. My 2 children and I were his caregivers at our home. He didn't remember my brother or his voice. It was so sad. My Daddy went so fast. Just a couple of weeks. I had a surprise early Christmas luncheon for him with us kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He passed away 2 days later. I think dementia is as hard as Alzheimer's disease 😢 God bless Margaret for being there for Brian. She is his beautiful angel 😇 ❤
Jen is definitely one of my favorites on this program. I have friends just like her and I’m sure she would be such a great addition to my life. I love my friends.
I needed a dose of Jen tonight….. I lost my beautiful kitty Shadow on Monday …. She was nearly 20 years old- which is a long time for a cat. I’ve been feeling down and seeing Jen always out a smile on my face. Thanks Jen!!
I have never understood why the color of a person’s skin should ever make a difference in how other people think of you. I liked how Leanord’s wife said that she didn’t see color.
Actually, I once read the comments of a (male) obstetrician who said that, if men had to have babies, they'd have heart attacks and probably die because their bodies aren't built to withstand the stress.
IMHO, Sylvester Senior is speaking of a generation to carry on the family name / bloodline. Out of my husband's and my generation of thirteen children, none of the male heirs have children. Therefore, neither of our family names will carry on to the next generation. It's sad if you think about it.
@@anamittendorf5663 I've always thought it weird that children have the father's name. The mother does all the work, and unless one does a DNA test or unless the kid seriously resembles the father, you just have to take it on faith that the supposed father is indeed the father. I kept my real name, my daughter has my name, and her enlightened husband changed his surname to hers.
Don’t forget that different languages and cultures are presented on here. So words may have different meanings. And I believe looking toward the future like that is a lovely thought.
The pediatric doctor is so lovely! She has a childlike enthusiasm for life, which helps her young patients relate to her. What a lovely, caring person she is!
Leonard and Suzanne are a beautiful couple. They are looking so good! Honestly thought they were in their 40’s. Like the 2 juniors the father is amazing. Brian and his partner are sweet. Jen is a beautiful soul.
That little Sylvester is a scamp! I applaud his Dad's sentiments, but he still needs to put boundaries on his little exuberance, otherwise he won't learn to set his own limits.---Dementia truly is a devastating condition. Loved ones lose their loved ones twice. Any sort of trauma always exacerbates the condition so I was not surprised to hear that Leonard ended up in long-term care.
Someone commented that the number of minor injuries in ER is ridiculous. Problem: many GPs are packed, no time slot available or it is sfter hours and only ER is available. Please don’t judge.😊
Are there not Quickcare or Minute care offices in the uk? In our cities we can go to quick care for minor injuries and save the emergency rooms for the more seriously injured.
I don’t know about Quickcare or it’s availability. There is also transportation availability. Someone to watgh the other children. The point is, some people have limited choices. Who choses to wait 3/4hours to see a Dr if there was somewhere else? There can be a lot of reasons people come to ER, we really don’t have the right to judge. I someone is in serious condition they will be seen before the”minor “ confidition
Hand lacerations are insanely painful. Someone should have gives Simon some serious painkillers, poor bloke! And maybe an anti-anxiety med 'cause not everyone is enthralled by gore.
Agreed... Makes you wonder how they would be if it were really bad. I cut my hand using a table saw, watched the doctor apply sutures. Never spoke, didn't panic. Returned a year later and thanked him.
The guy with the finger injury. I was expecting to see a mangled mess! Are you kidding? I’ve had a broken nail that was worse than that. Why did he go to the hospital if he couldn’t handle the doctor even touching it?? A waste of medical resources.
Leonard & his wife are truly Beautiful people., They both have smiles & energy that made me happy to watch, I would cry watching Brian & Mags than smile and feel happiness watching Leonard and his sweet wife talk and laugh❤🫶🥰
These episodes show me just how real life is, how heartbreaking & wonderful humanity is!! Dimensia has got to be scary & life changing ❤💔 Brian & Mags had me crying 😢

Jen, my favourite nurse in all these shows. 😊😊😊
She is remarkable. So compassionate and caring with her patients.
Jen is amazing, Dr. Sammy too. Such brilliant caretakers.
Love Jen the most!❤
The confused, terrified look on Brian's face when they brought him in nearly broke my heart.
Nurse Jen was the perfect one to take care of him! ❤
@@t.ellevision I agree, she was. She's got a very calm, kind demeanor, and knows her stuff! I bet she's a really fun person to be around.
Sylvester and Sylvester Junior were so sweet. Lovely to see such a supportive and patient dad.
“Help! Help me please!”
Broke my heart! This is also what my son says when he’s having an episode and it just gets me in the feels…

There should be a Jen in every hospital from the UK to here in the States 🎉😊 love 💕 love her attitude/patience etc..😘

Drama queen the finger guy
Wasn't he just! Why take yourself to the A and E if you are not going to let them touch you?
Yes!😂😂

The guy with the finger, what a baby! It's a good thing that men can't have babies! He might have died during labor and delivery! LOL!
Actually, I once read the comments of a (male) obstetrician who said that, if men had to have babies, they'd have heart attacks and probably die because their bodies aren't built to withstand the stress.
Jen is a keeper.
wish we had a Jen here...we could use her smarts and common sense.
Was für eine Mimi mit seinem Finger, mit was für Sachen manche Menschen ins Krankenhaus gehen, ist manchmal echt lächerlich!
Genau. Und dann über übervolle Wartezimmer jammern!
Maybe if he called him Sylvester by his name he would listen, maybe not lol
Always enjoy the background music!
Margaret ❣️❤
Yes, we all know what his mate said he was gonna do with one hand…😅
All the minor things people go to the ER for is ridiculous
I agree with you, The guy with the injured finger, my goodness what a baby, like to see him giving birth! Hahahah
Men with their hurt fingers!
I know it can be painful, but goodness.
How Did The Patient Did After Getting To Hospital For Emergency Treatment After Falling On The Stairs Scott Erman USA 🇺🇸 😢
Why are they called 'Sisters'?
Nurses used to be almost exclusively nuns. The word stuck.

The dad wants LEGACY??? Honestly? Why?
