I am reading the book now currently, about 2/3 of the way through. It is a joyous part of the story, not to give away too much, but where Alexandra begins to blossom as an actress. I love this woman. I watched a couple of speeches of hers here for which comments are turned off so I would like to say that her talk of the "internal work" that we must do, involving getting to know someone we don't know and lifting them up, is quite remarkable and beautiful. I am pleased to be even within an outer sphere of this fine woman's existence. Love, David

Loved this. Only shocked more people haven't given it a thumbs up or even seen it. So much ignorance and subsequent mistreatment and actual violence against this group! And it is a group of human beings just like more average you and me! Remember anyone who hasn't thought this through with compassion, these are ordinary trans folks, utterly for the most part, who only want to live freely enough to have equal access to work, leisure, relationships, family, health care, shops, st al, and live like most of us do, but without all the insults and actual crime these people statistically, and from knowing a few such people, anecdotally, receive on a regular basis. From whom? Oh just from family, employers, governments, medics, shopkeepers, other businesses, newspapers and media, schools, former friends, the public,They didn't choose to be transgender but we're born with a physical brain difference that causes this relatively rare difference in humankind....yet so little interest in actually understanding this human trait, with us as long as one can determine these differences on a multicultural level. Let's attempt tolerance, understanding, kindness, simple neutrality. Leave these people to live in peace.

Look at that, an actress giving us a glimpse of a moment in her life whether good or bad because we've all had both. Not a rant or tirade about a gender pronoun or whatever the new thing is to be angry about now, just a person sharing her experience from one human to another. If only more stories like this was shared as wildly as all the ones, maybe we'd have some meaningful discourse.

She definitely cares about pronouns, she's a trans woman who's spent a lot of her life being invalidated. The story is literally about being trans. What point are you trying to make with this comment?
