- Laram Top also known as "Laram Sar" is a hill station in the Lower Dir District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan at a distance of 30 km from Chakdara and 180 km from Peshawar. It is located at elevation of 8500 ft (2590.8 meters) above the sea level
Laram top famous strategically since long' during Afghan war' importance of the top increased manifold' during British Raj' this top was the main hub of communication system' one big mirror installed here on the top' while another on Lowari top' the third at Malakand and last at Qilla Balahesar' this was a strong reliable communication and strategical system of the period' still at the top strategical communication system in place functioning under Army' one of the latest in South Asia.

Padmasambhava is said to have been born in a village near the present day town of Chakdara in Lower Dir District, which was then a part of Oddiyana....Chakdara (Pashto: چکدره) is a town in Lower Dir District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. It is located north of Malakand on the north bank of the Swat River... It is about 130 km from Peshawar and 40 km away from Saidu Sharif.....Chakdara has been an important center for the last 3500 years and is littered with remains of the Gandhara grave culture, Buddhist sites, and Hindu Shahi forts. The ancient route from Afghanistan via Nawa Pass and Katgala Pass crosses the Swat River at Chakdara...A Buddhist stupa and monastery of the first century AD were excavated by Ahmad Hasan Dani in 1962-65."

Brother if you wish to visit kumrat and want to stay for ling time. You must be well equipt like tent, food hygiene etc. Because over there facilities are limited/ rare. There are few hostels that have no standards and hygiene. I'm sure you'll enjoy your trip in case if you fulfil all the requirements needed for any long journey.
