Amazing as always, Bruce. I would have passed on paint over a wrap figuring it was hopeless. Never would have guessed it could look so nice! Looking forward to that Radio King.
Thanks much Duane. I like how it turned out. Have done so many of these that its just another day at the office. You will like the one I have coming this weekend for sure. Bruce
Hi Kevin, hope all is well. Where are you again? We have tremendous winds here in the desert that just blow in from nowhere and roofs come off like peeling a banana. Cheers, Bruce
Yep. I got a Radio King snare in yesterday that needs a good buff. Really on the darker side, but I dont like removing all of the yellow, it gives them character IMHO. Thanks Brian
Hello, just found your channel and I'm learning a lot! Thanks. I have an older Ludwig snare with no wrap on the outside, but more than one previous owner has painted the inside of the shell! No one sees it but me, but I would try to remove it if it wasn't too difficult and I knew I could do it without damaging the drum. Any tips would be appreciated!
My suggestion James is to try and find a white paint that is the same ( or close to) the original white paint ludwig used and give the inside a sand with 220, prime it and paint the inside. Thanks, Bruce
@@vintagedrumrestorationgara91 Bruce, thanks so much for the tip! I didn't really want to take the time to strip several coats of ugly paint on a part of the drum that isn't visible. I appreciate your help. Jim
acetone is the strongest and can really cause damage. Lacquer thinner is the best, but can still cause damage if in the wrong hands and needs buffing after use. Thanks Ronny!

Amazing work as always Bruce.
Very much enjoyed watching that process.
I appreciate your support Anthony. I am working on a project now, that may have never been covered here on YT. Stay tuned friend! Bruce

Beautiful job Bruce.

Hi Bruce. 45 mph winds here a few days ago. Good to see you at it again.

Great job.straight from the factory.

Nice work on that one! I've had good results buffing out '40's yellowed WMP too!

My Ludwig Accent CS turns 20 this year. Still the only kit I’ve ever owned. Warped to shit, been through tours with no drum cases, still sounds great
Wow, very nice.
Thanks Tim!
Awesome job.
Thx Jason, I appreciate that!
Nice work my friend! What buffing compound was used?
I think I go over that in the video. 3m and liquid ebony
Thank you sir.
Would acetone work in lieu of paint stripper? Or would that ruin the wrap or not work as well as the stripper? The finished drum looks fantastic btw.
Acetone is generally really aggressive and could dull the plastic wrap, I’d stick with the stripper
@@rypetkypar That sounds good. Thanks!
Good content Bruce! Spent many hours buffing drums.
Thanks Ron!
I'd sure be afraid using paint stripper on that wrapped finish. I wonder how professional strength goif off work work?
You do amazing work. Are any of your projects for sale???
Thanks Frank for the compliment..... I am thinking of doing an occasional video of drums I have for sale. Stay tuned.
What is the noise I'm hearing... yikes! Lacquer thinner doesn't hurt the wrap? What some other tried methods might damage the wrap?

NICE JOB

Another victim of the 80s saved and made whole again!
I beleive it was made in the 60s from what I can see here. Cheers, Bruce
@@vintagedrumrestorationgara91 Yeah It was made in the 60s but destroyed in the 80s during the "make everything black" phase.
