I find 7 inches overall length with 3 inches of blade and 4 inches of handle seems about right for an EDC fixie. I've tried many over the years and the CRKT Hunt'N Fisch remains my favorite. The horizontally oriented leather sheath makes it very comfortable to carry in front of my side pocket in a cross-draw position. It is often overlooked because when you browse the knife dealer's websites the Hunt'N Fisch won't be listed under EDC knives. You'll find it with the hunting knives.
My favorite EDC knife for 3 years now is the Lionsteel H1. At first I was skeptical about the karambit ring, but I have found it to be one of the best features for quick deployment and extra leverage.
TJ Schwartz Overland Sport has been my favorite fixed blade I've ever had. And it doesn't come with a uneven bevel that was put on with a bench grinder. He hand sharpens every one of his knives on a jig. But it was well worth the money and I absolutely love it. And the blade is magnacut
your video nails it on the head of what we're really looking for in a edc fixed blade- perfect knife, perfect sheath, and perfect clip💯 i swear no other video does a good job of it
Thank you for making this video. Have been listening to videos like this omw to work for a few weeks trying to find a good knife like the candiru for cheaper and the Watchmen knife checked all the right boxes. Much appreciated sir!
Keep 'em coming, great video (still watching). One idea about your comment section, as I have had this thought now a bunch of times watching your videos and trying to look up the knives you mention: At the top of your comments you should have links to the products from the video. Definitely expected to find (at the very minimum) links to the Asher & Axial when checking your comment section. Better would be to have links to all knives discussed. Love your channel, just some "constructive criticism".
There are some links in the pinned comment and there is always always links to the major knife companies in the description down below my contact info 😊 some links I don't have just yet
@@GBall_Vision Aah, definitely missed the links in the pinned comment. I am used to just checking the video description, kinda never check the pinned comment - but will do from now on. Thanks for the hard work and great content.
@GBall_Vision I live my mink. (It's what I'm carrying right now.) The smolt is ab awesome little 3V blade too. I have no complaints on mine. If you're on the fence, give it a shot.
I’m still on the hunt for my EDC fixie. Some are a nice size, but have a terrible sheath (Spyderco Stok). Some have a great sheath, but not the right size (MKM Mikro). The Korvid has been the best combo for me so far, maybe I’ll try the Tempest Dust Devil or Kizer Cobbler.
@@JustGorillacheck out Schwartz knives and his overland sport. I just posted a comment saying it has been my favorite EDC fixed blade I ever owned. And you can customize your scales and blade from cerakote to stone wash etc. or you can wait for his drop later today and buy one of them
Awesome video, definitely got me browsing the Internet for a few models. Just wanned to throu my two fav edc fixed blades here, maybe someone would like them. Small: enzo necker. Medium: Kizer Begleiter Micarta. Love the Kizer! Under 4'' blade, comfortable handle, fits 4 fingers and has room for 3 more 😂
The Outdoor Edge Pivot is my go-to ($25-30). It's similar to the LeDuck. It has a rotating belt clip. It blends into my belt profile, isn't bulky, and has great ergos. It's similar to my Esee Izula II, but the kydex sheath is what makes the OE Pivot better. The sheath also has a safety keeper that adds some extra security but doesn't get in the way when you draw it quickly.
My favorite fixed blades are @tkellknives. A Marine Vet owned company that makes knives in USA with USA materials. Everything about his knives have EDC in mind.
@@StephenClaytonJr I'm familiar with him I haven't handled one yet but it's definitely on the list. Along with a dozen other USA companies. I got a few fixies that I really like. The Kizer Harpoon mini in 10V, Tactical Pterodactyl makes great knives, Joey Roman Neckr and my LT Wright Frontier Valley
I've tried the Civivi Stormridge in NITRO-V and green Micarta and the Ferrum Forge Lackey XL in 9cr18mov and black G10, both are good knives but are lacking in handle length and girth.
