"You have to be really good at selling yourself"
Tried this but it's not working. I guess I'm standing on the wrong corner.

thanks Ahsan!
Siraj Raval I have a lot of questions
where to ask ? DM?
Siraj: Once again awesome video. I am currently doing the contract work and 100% agreed with this recipe: Market value + enjoyment.
thx Usman
... and Siraj is eating AI
indeed
And I eat Siraj ;)
@@SirajRaval. Impressed by the way you've positioned yourself as a top expert in the hottest field around right now. Thanks for all the value-- you've made me not only excited about machine learning, but also given me the sense that it is something that is accessible to me. Priceless.
lol
Thank You Siraj - your energy and optimism are contagious - keep up the amazing work!
Siraj, I have been watching your video for a few weeks now and have just been incredibly inspired to not only keep learning coding but aim to work in Machine Learning due to your fantastic enthusiasm for the subject. You have truly opened my eyes. With this video you show how concious you are of all of us needing to pay our bills to do what we love - and the concrete examples you gave are just awesome. Thanks for just being you...and keep that up ok?
you forgot number 6.
youtuber!
tru
Is it actually profitable with the current adpocalypse?
Mark Jay what is the definition of knowing how to code? is having some knowledge of HTML, CSS and Python Enough?
+Aye! LetMeTellYouWhatHappen maybe learning one more programming language will be enough. Python is bad at teaching basics, because it's high level (high level means easy)
Just to add, as I feel it may prove helpful-high level isn't just easy, often the easy way is the right way to go in programming,(thats why JS and python are so popular) but what it definitely means is that you don't learn some computer science concepts that low level languages such as C and C++ have, such as bitwise operations and memory management.
Agreed, those are hard, but in the situations where those languages are used-performant systems, these skills and concepts also help give some insight into what a certain high level language like python is doing.
Siraj, thank you bro. i've got lost my last years of deegre doing other things, but now i'm running back to take the lost time ! Thank you !
awesome thx
That was really nicely thought out and presented... Really helpful since I'm starting to run out of money. Now back to watching youtube for 5 hours, thanks man!
Your every video motivates me a lot . You are the reason why i bunk my boring college lectures and write code instead.
Siraj , god bless you !
thx u 2!
Siraj you are the MAN! Just the video I needed on my Monday to get me up and motivated. I know I will have a life-long career in programming (:
Thank you Siraj for all you do to share your knowledge. You have been an invaluable resource for me - keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot Buddy, we love you. Need more videos like this. May God Bless you. keep it up.
Siraj! you are one fantastic fellow. I have been software entrepreneur for 15 years yet I still find your video highly motivational!
thanks!
I hope life is giving you a big hug right now Siraj. Many thanks for this very timely guidance.
thanks Chris!
Started following you a week ago. Although half of stuff u talk goes above my head
thx keep wathcing it'll start getting clearer
You forgot tutoring. I just turned 16 today and I get payed $30 an hour for one on one tutoring.
REDNAX online tutoring?
adam shamsudeen I'm still in school, and there's a guy in my Comp Sci class that isn't doing so well, so I tutor him
I'm also in school and I do the same but I don't charge them since I see it as a help.
Is there any online platform to do the same?
adam shamsudeen Probably, just google it
REDNAX $30 an hour? Shit, that's a lot
I haven't even seen some of the sites that you mentioned. This is really awesome Siraj thanks a lot I will looks into all of them!
awesome!
I really like the way that Siraj motivates people. Really enjoyed the video
Really insightful. Awesome video Siraj! ( as usual)
thanks Sabri!
Thanks for being so upbeat and high energy.
You made my day bro! well not day, i was watching this video almost at 10 PM here at Nepal.Technically you made my learning hour special.Oh yeah I am really grateful for this video.
I'm glad I stumbled upon this video, very informative and useful, Thanks a million for the motivation Siraj. Trying to become a programmer from being a sys admin is like starting all over again.
I walked that path. I'm glad I've moved on
There is great info in this video!!! Thanks man! Learning Python and then will move on to Machine learning. Your videos are pretty helpful 👌🏻 keep up the good work 👍🏻
Hey Siraj great tips, another idea for programmers to make money is to build integrations for marketplaces. Example like shopify, magento, or even a plugin for woocommerce. Trick is to hunt around for the connection that is missing. We get plenty of requests to build different connectors into systems and like you mentioned on your video we go to upwork to get them built. Thanks mate keep up the videos.
A much needed video.
Thank you Siraj Raval
anytime
Thanks a lot. I am surprised by how little people in my area are aware of the number of jobs available online. I knew for all of the things you mentioned, but you kinda motivated me to pursue them.
Now, this is spot on! Just what I needed, just started a "start-up" and got on Fiverr... ka-ching!
Hi Siraj! Thank you so much for this video. It was really inspiring!
I'm a 3rd year CS student and i just can't trust myself to be doing something worthy of money. i love programming and A.I. and i am currently learning tensorflow but i just feel like all i can do is school assignments. when it comes to the real world i have a great fear of not being enough at all for a real project. i dunno why, maybe because i've never done it before. i've never earned money by my own work.
i always hear "the real world is not like school... the real world is not like school... " and it builds up my fear and lowers my confidence as i get closer to my graduation. i dunno how it's gonna be like.
maybe i sound like a crybaby and i dunno maybe it's partly true. i just wanted to express what goes through my head since the topic is relevant.
Thank you Siraj for the video :) i'll search these ways.
How do you feel 1 year after? I feel the same way actually. I did all my school assignments, got A in all of my programming classes, then went to several hackatons and was sooooo lost because the scope of those projects was wayyy beyond what we've done at school. Had multiple job interviews but no offers yet, which is killing my confidence in my programming skills...
Be careful. A lot of foriegner in a country with lower wages also fight on these sites and ask for insanely low pay as it tripples or more in their country. People will go for cheap.
And then those people paying low prices will come to the platform forums asking how they can get a refund. Or what to do because his freelancer isn't responding to e-mails :D
Great video Siraj. *Thumbs up*
Thank you SirAJ.
anytiME
+Siraj Raval
I'm a recent CIS graduate and I started a mobile application business while in college. Since graduating I have kind of been conflicted on what direction to take. Your video definitely helped me refocus on what I need to do.
Wow! I really needed this video! All these websites are really helpful
cool thx

thank you this vid was really useful and detailed unlike anyother video on youtube
dude I love this video .. Your awesome. I have been looking for something like this informative. thank u
Great Siraj! Do make a video on your journey in this field, really interested to know .
This is super helpful! I lost funding in a PhD mechanical engineering program, and am working as an ME data scientist. I've been trying to figure out how to pivot to fields such as finance and bioinformatics! I love your energetic, results oriented style of presentation!
Also, that shirt- khurta, dress shirt hybrid? or just long? (love it, either way!)
Siraj....yet another awesome video.....
Great videos Siraj,
In the past week I've watched don't know , 20, 30 of your videos , excellent job!
Could you list the very bare minimum topics (possibly along with a set of your recommended choices of textbooks) to enter the job market?
Something that can be used as a self check list,
Thanks again!
Thank you. This information is going to be very useful for me, much so the links you provided.
Thanks Siraj as always for the info.
concise and informative ! thanks siraj.
Cool. :D
This is something a college student like me use it. :)
You're a Wizard Siraj! :)
Lots of love! :*
Nice video . Started with python and you have really been a motivator though i don't understand all your vids as there pretty fast .but python has given a new life which i couldn't think off with C/C++ or java C#
What are the prerequisites to learn/begin toying with AI? Do I need to understand hard differential and integral calculus? How about statistics?
I think knowing all the math (differential and integral, matrix, tensors...) is a big plus especially if you want to go further and play make more advanced models but you can still make a lot of things without, there are also many deep learning libraries that will do the math for you. I think you could start with simple things and learn the math when you need it
*Discrete Mathematics, Graph Theory, Mathematical Logic, Computer Logic, Linear Algebra* (hence arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, analytic geometry and calculus) afer all this you can dive into AI, some of languages and Data structure will help, don't forget learn how to program, know U are ready for AI
from a physics to a cs phd, if you do anything in stem, i can tell you that linear algebra is the single most important and applicable area of mathematics
just start learning ai and learn those things as you need them simulatenously
this ^
Amazing video Siraj. I am a big fan.
you are awesome Siraj. Keep up the good work :)
Your videos are very informative and enjoyable. Subscribed :)
Awesome video, thank you Siraj.
Your a lifesaver! I FREAKIN Love you man!
Thank you so much.
Sometimes I think it might be easier making money as a youtuber than a programmer. I am going to give it a go universe!
one of the best videos on the channel. :)
thx
Thanks a ton Siraj. You are great
oah man this is the video i was wandering about .... u r amazing i love u and i will never ever forget this line in my life "If you know how to code you should be paid for it!" wow this is one of the best quot for me!! and will be one of my best lessons !! by the way cant put in words !!! i wish to to spend some time of my life with you!!! whatever if that would a few hours :(
thanks asadullah love u
you can call me "Asad" don't want you to trouble more with keyboard ;-) .....
actually everything you do should be paid for.
@ibrahim ismail: and how is that make sense??
i mean i m just back from bathroom but no one paid!! :(
Thanks Siraj. Great video...
g8 video as always mate. Very informative
Ur a legend m8! Subscribed!
Great video as always
This is very useful information. Thank you.
np thx
Thank you Siraj. it's one of the best videos for freshers. Also if you can make a video on how you started your career? what you else you do apart from making videos? how you generate money of it? how many hours you spend daily?
This is some good stuff! Thanks!
Thanks Siraj! Inspirational
Thank you very much for the video and congratulation on your wonderful book. I want to learn how to program but don't want to do it for profit yet. I'm still new to programming and I believe it will take years to sort of master it. Once I am capable to write an application then I'll think about it. The language I want to conquer is C. There are various reasons why I chose that language, and I know there are other languages that are easier to learn and work with. Any books you know that will help me learn programming challenges like Google Code Jam or Hackathon?
You are Indeed Great ! Siraj ...
#1. First learn programming ...
Great video Siraj! What do you think or know about passive income streams (such as books or courses) or side gigs? Have any ideas? I'm currently a full-time employee looking for an extra income.
that is going to receive many views,
but I enjoyed the video. Nice work! Subscribed :)

np
Thank you . Very helpful video
Thank for for so valuable information
sure thing
Woow 103k you have grown up keep up the good work
Thank you ! that was amazing ! :)
Great job dude ..keep it up :-)
You need to be insane to waste even 1 minute on upwork or freelancer.
why u say that?
There are usually 30-50 programmers fighting for a gig. You have the same chances with the lottery.
At least you get a thrill while scratching off lottery tickets.
David Basil hi
Yip for starting out getting a job is way way better than Upwork
Online freelancing is impossible today.
Bro Siraj you Rocks!!!!!
siraj is information power house. god bless you!
thx u. 2
Thanks a lot Siraj!
So inspiring!!! Thanks!!!
