I don't think I follow this case. But if the plaintiff got an unstable bus, then I think it's fair he is paid for part of the job which he did because the defendant should have ensured his bus is in good conditions as part of the contract.
even with many other cases, she determines how much "work" was done and awards something fair. This time it's different - "You didn't COMPLETE the job so you get nothing"???
I mean, I feel like she's being a bit harsh, he got the bus from Milwaukee to Phoenix, and it's not his fault it broke down. He stayed waiting for 8 days!? That seems like most of the job done and a very good work ethic to me. How long was he supposed to stay with the bus??
The bus breaking down isn't his problem. He drove most of the way. He should get paid at least most of what was owed since it wasn't far from the destination compared to where he started. My husband owns a fleet of trucks. If one breaks down, we don't expect a driver to wait a week there for it to be fixed. We also still pay them the miles they did drive and cover the expenses to either bring them back home, a hotel if repairs will only take a few days, or we arrange another driver to pick him up. I don't blame this guy for not waiting it out. Days lost are wages lost.
Judge Judy had her mind up when she came out. For whatever reasons, she is being unnecessary aggressive and hostile toward the plaintiff. I hate when she does that.
Plaintiff sounds like he assisted with the crappy bus to a reasonable amount of time and effort. I would've been pissed being saddled with a lemon bus that broke down on the other side of the country.
If he drove the bus part of the way, there shouldn't he at least get paid for part of the job? Isn't that how she usually rules? That they get something but not everything.
If you hire me to move your broke down piece of crap bus and I incur expenses because of your broke down piece of crap bus, you damn well sure are going to pay me - i don't care what anyone says including jj
JJ is usually always right but in this case she is dead wrong. The bus broke down and you can't expect the driver to incur cost of hotel, food, and leave his family for 1 month or more to complete the job. The rate should have been prorated because the driver did like 75% of the job. Then the bus owner could use the other 25% of funds to hire another driver to finish the job.
@@Rayon_Rayon Please explain. So the driver is supposed to pay for his hotel and food while waiting for this bus to be repaired? What about his lost wages?
Idk. I've driven from Indianapolis to LA, in beautiful weather and it took us a whole friggin week, with a functioning car. And the last couple days were STILL miserable. Lol I can't imagine that trip on a big gas-guzzling bus that broke down multiple times AND in winter. 😂 This poor guy. He deserves at the least his fees and SOMETHING for his time. ALSO phoenix is at most 4 hours away from his final stop. JJ's being a little too aggressive here.
JJ is being harsh to the plaintiff here. He got the truck from Milwaukee to Phoenix and the bus needed repairs that doesn't sound like is his fault so he should be entitle to some compensation. A classic case of JJ is when a contractor is hired to do a job, they completed some of the work and for whatever reason they don't finish, JJ will always credit the contractor for the work that they do and rule that they deserve some type of compensation.
Once he noticed his employer of the problem the employer should have gone to the location. I have driven company cars that had an issue. They are not supposed to leave you stranded in THEIR vehicle.
JJ the attack on the defendant was harsh and for me unwarranted....I actually do not think the defendant did that much wrong as it wasnt his fault the vehicle broke down.!!!
Byrd was too slow… maybe that’s why JJ didn’t take him for the new show…. By the time he reaches the plaintiff/defendant it’s already commercial Break time.

If you buy his claim
Yes exactly 👍
Yes, she's being absurd.
He's the driver. He can't abandon the bus.

Milwaukee to Phoenix is a long damn way to drive especially a hoopty bus. He deserves some compensation.
Byrd has HAD IT with people’s shenanigans! 💀🤣
Prob worried they would write him out of the show for just standing there.
@@ggirardin2014you seem jealous because his standing there made him an millionaire 😴🥱
Judge Judy had her mind up when she came out. For whatever reasons, she is being unnecessary aggressive and hostile toward the plaintiff. I hate when she does that.
Yes she is getting more and more rude. Time for her to retire.
She has more information than we all do cope
You must be new here. Is she supposed to sing them lullabies or work the damn case? Stop sharing your sensitivities. No one cares.
he was all over the place. Didn't have his facts in order and no clear records.
This is the most unfair I have ever seen Judy.
How. It’s true. The job was not done. Yes. The bus went down. He should be paid for the days he drove but not all of them
Yep. She is mostly unfair. She acts like its HER money.
Plaintiff sounds like he assisted with the crappy bus to a reasonable amount of time and effort. I would've been pissed being saddled with a lemon bus that broke down on the other side of the country.
The plaintiff should say don't twist what he said
Just left the case with the man who hired a girl online. Back for more!
I'm not even going to bother watching this one based on the comments. I already know it'll annoy me too much to see the driver get no compensation
yep! same. can’t stand when she gets like this.
Same

*Who is watching this episode on 21st November with me hit thumbs up ❣️ much love from Kenya the pearl of Africa 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪*
👋
Dying to visit Kenya 🙏🏾
Watching from Zimbabwe.....
How do you have the guts to watch this before all episodes are uploaded? 😅 I can't do it, I'm gonna wait. 🇿🇦🇧🇼❤
Hello from Germany! 🇩🇪 😊
This case is getting confusing, not sure if the driver owned bus?
He was just transporting it for the defendant
Judy was 100% wrong on this. She seems hangry.
idk about that, he's not explaining the timeline very well
I stayed with the bus for 2 weeks. Thoughts about the bus stayed in my head for a long time.
Bird did a smackdown when he tried to approach with the papers lol
JJ breakfast/lunch/dinner crew where you at?
👋 Here and early for the first time in a long time!
Heyyyy JJLC!! 🥳
In London and it is cold 🥶
Beautiful morning in Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️
2 more hours left in my shift gang ! Lol
Can’t believe at this point everybody know you can’t approach the judge 😭 they all want to do Byrd job 🤭
many people have never been in a court,
Here lol shake shack for lunch
The nerve of the plaintiff...is he serious? He shouldn't get paid at all!
Although it's rare, sometimes JJ gets it wrong.
Says who you?😂
Glad to see everyone else is as confused as I am 😂 On to pt. 2
Great episode 😊
The plaintiff can't get anything right. And the defendant stay silent all the time. He is definitely more liked by Judge Judy so far.
JJ was wrong. The bus broke!
Must be before sushi time 😬
Not watching til you release part 2. Annoying waiting for the continuation.
You aren't hurting anyone, Miss Thang 😂😂😂😂 Go get your JJ fix elsewhere, cry baby

3:08 I faceplam so hard every time a person tries to go around their table, thinking they're to give their documents to the judge directly.
Better than me as I AUDIBLY say "NO!" like a giant nerd when that happens
@@brucevarnes978😂
Looking forward to the defendants side of the story!
So JJ expected this driver to indefinitely stay with this bus until it's repaired? It's time for JJ to retire. Sheesh.
This is 5 years old. Probs worse now lol. Love it.
She didn't mean stay there literally and watch the bus until it's finished lol, the point she is trying to make went straight over head

@@jeffhatmaker817 you think Judge Judy is an idiot 😅 just watch the full case until it's finish instead of just watching part 1
And that’s what happened. The show ended 😂

just a second
it’s not his fault the bus broke down! he should be paid
This is a case of failure to communicate. He can't abandon the bus without permission from the employer. The bus became his responsibility.
Once he noticed his employer of the problem the employer should have gone to the location. I have driven company cars that had an issue. They are not supposed to leave you stranded in THEIR vehicle.

JJ is wrong on this one. If the power goes out at the JJ show and she went home midday , she’d expect to be paid for the cases that she heard.
Her law degree
I love ❤it
It seems like just yesterday this channel posted a video of JJ crediting work done for an incomplete job.
