OK THAT INTRO FOSSIL IS ASTONISHING!!! It’s so perfect! The negative is perfect! The polish is perfect! The sutures are perfect! The ribs are perfect! It’s PERFECT!!! I don’t even know how you find anything with his overpicked Lyme Regis is!
Thanks for your comments. I’m lucky to be able to go out in the Winter months and walk a long way fossil collecting on the low tide . The solid winter months mean the erosion rates are higher and in January I did not meet many other collectors. I’ve been fossiling since I was 7 and I’m now 53. I have some experience but walk with a stick on the longer journeys to save the old knees .
@@LymeRegisFossils hah you’ve had a hell of a lot more experience then me then! And I’ve been fossil hunting since I was 4 and studying palaeontology since I was 7!
Thanks 🙏 very much indeed. It was some lovely sunny ☀️ weather that developed just before CHRISTMAS ! Now there seems to be a lot of the old rain. Still I can imagine by March the fossil collecting will have built up to be really good again ! See you soon 🔜
What a wonderful video! It lifted my spirits here in gloomy Indiana. Beautiful finds, and the glimpse of pre-Christmas Lyme Regis was just perfect. Happy new year
That’s very nice of you to say that, thanks 🙏 very much for your comment. Lyme Regis just before Christmas is one of the most quiet places. Then it gets really busy as everyone comes down for the holidays.
Great video! I so wish we lived nearer the coast. We were on holiday near Lyme Regis last year and loved it. I found an ammonite on Charmouth beach, I was so chuffed with it (as was my 6 year old)
Thanks for the comment, Charmouth beach fossil collecting is a lot of fun- at low tide. I am glad you found an ammonite, you can always remember your holiday near Lyme when you look at the fossil.
Thanks 🙏 very much . All the best to you for 2023, Happy New Year. I’ve got some interesting fossil hunting footage coming up. I just need to edit the clips 🙌.

Calcite ammonites: pretty cool to look at but not very impressive, UNTIL YOU WET THEM!!!
They really show up with the lovely calcite colours when you wet them 🙌
