Un gusto haberles atendido !!! Yo nací aquí lo mejor de guayaquil!! 😋😋 DETRAS DE MALL DEL SOL. El carrito del sabor ... Humitas, hayacas, bollos y mucho mas ...
@@theinfinitelivingproject7352 always a pleasure to watch. I wish I’d known about you guys when I covered Ecuador. I would have loved to interview you two.
@@theinfinitelivingproject7352 hey guys, hope that’s okay with you but I included your channel in my last video this morning. It’s a quick list of the RUclips channels to follow if you’re living abroad in Ecuador. I don’t have a big audience, but I’m hoping it will bring you a few well deserved views. Feel free to quote or share it if you’d like, of course.
I just discovered and subscribed to your channel. You went to many of the spots that I used to go (behind Mall del Sol) except the food jeep/car. 10:45 The first is "bollo" a plantain based, peanut sauce and fish steamed dough stick/rectangle on banana leaves but can have chicken, shrimps and other fillings. The second is Humita🫔 a salty, cheesy steam cornbread dough on corn leaves. The last or 3rd made of corn flour steam sweet dough wrapped on banana leaves with chicken, raisins, eggs and olives.👍🙏🇪🇨🤤🤤🤤😱😭
You guys eat as locals haha, I live in Quito, and luches cost around 2.25 to 3.50 however the average is 2.50 , it takes time to find the perfect HUECA, hueca is the place that has the secret ingredient that makes food delicious.
Been loving seeing your guys' videos and how active you guys have been on Instagram. Miss you guys! Let us know when you're back in U.S. and we have to hang!
'Another great TILP video! Thank you, you two. What an amazing amount of great-looking food for so little dollars. It would be nice, if you do more food videos, to make some occasional vegetarian choices for a meal or two. The pork sandwiches looked great. But, alas, I'm a vegetarian. Nonetheless, I live vicariously through you two. Out of curiosity what does your Airbnb, hostel, or apartment cost in G-town? Are you going to stay there long? Also, visa-wise, how long can you stay in Ecuador before having to leave for a while. Curious. Thanks again for another wonderful video. - Jim from Phoenix
Thank you for watching as always 🙂! We stayed in Guayaquil for one month and we stayed at a great little Hostal the whole time. We paid $225 for one month at this place. You can stay in Ecuador for 6 months on the tourist visa with the extension. However we are working on getting something longer term like our cedula.
@@theinfinitelivingproject7352 Thanks for follow-up. I'm in the process of buying 8 acres along a river in a food forest (that is 5 walking minutes from a bus stop) 20 minutes from V-town. If that happens, I may have an offer to you two to stay there that beats any workaway program you'll ever find.
@The Infinite Living Project, Love your videos. But one lesson for you. In Castellano which everyone mistakenly calls Spanish and now unfortunately everyone is using to the Benefit of those that don't know better. Now, Humita and all words starting with an H, the H is totally silent so you pronounce it Umiga. Guayaquil is the same, in this instance the G is silent. Thank you again for great videos.
Thank you! 😊 It was a fun adventure exploring the street food scene in Guayaquil. If you have any questions or want more recommendations, feel free to ask!
¡Gracias por ver! La tienda de sándwiches que estás buscando está cerca del Mall del Sol en Guayaquil, Ecuador. ¡Disfruta explorando la escena de comida callejera allí! 😊🥪

Lindo país rica comida y buenas personas
Gracias Antonio!
Wrap in corn leaves are humitas..the other green wrap at tamales..
Not tamales. That is called “bollo” and consists of green plantain (cooked in different ways) with a lot of different filings (generally fish)

The first food was bollo (plantain with fish), then you had the humita made out of corn and finally the hayaca
Thanks for sharing your experience! Those sound like delicious choices. Did you have any other favorite street foods in Guayaquil? 😊
Yummy 🤤
Enjoyed your video! Actually the humita is the corn one! Bolón wasn’t there, it’s the ball made from green Platain.
Thanks for watching and for the clarification! Glad you enjoyed the video. Looks like I got my dishes mixed up. Appreciate the info! 😊
