Hey, loving the covers on your channel, you guys are great! Curious, are those the ALTO subs with the tops? How're you finding them? Looks like you boys are ampless? Is the rig powerful enough to get over an acoustic kit?
Hi mate, appreciate the kind words! 🙏🏻 Currently running the 2000w Alto 15” tops but only using a single Behringer 18” sub (partly because the venues we play generally only require 1 sub and eliminates any comb filtering in theory) We’ve toyed with getting a second matching sub but currently see no real reason unless we start playing much larger venues. We are completely ampless yeah, guitars running through Kemper Stage Profilers and Bass running through a Helix. Our drummers kit is a Roland VAD which is electric (but looks acoustic/awesome) so we have total control over our FOH mix as our stage is practically silent and run monitors through IEMs so there is zero spill into vocal mics. We have used a fully mic’d acoustic drum kit, with 2x guitar amps and 1x bass amp many times previously however and the system is plenty loud enough for a ~200cap venue. Hope this helps - can recommend the tops, for the price they really cannot be beaten. If you’ve got any other questions just let us know
