Hi. Excellent work.. Just a suggestion, the dash looks empty on the both sides, like you said put some indicators on both sides, mix of analogue-digital combo and see if customer likes it. Now it looks plain and boring

would be cool to to re-use the dash gauges instead of replacing all with a screen. Speed can be remmaped to still work, fuel could be mapped to battery level, and the temperature could be mapped to coolant temp. only thing that would be useless is the tach and oil pressre, but those are so neatly positioned in the same circle that you could cut them out and replace them with a screen for all the other EV info thats needed.
I think the dash looks better in person than it does on video. The spaces on the left and right of the display look so empty - maybe a high quality analog clock would be nice there - I'm not sure. Not sure, what, beside the clock to put in there - maybe outside thermometer also analog.
As a German I really don't understand all these specific terminology in your videos but it still entertaining and interesting to watch every time. 😊 but I do wonder how ugly some of these words are in English for car parts 😂😂 our words are much more fitting 💯%
I didn’t get the idea of making a panel from fiber tbh. I have some experience with 3d printed plastics and their properties are just enough to handle one lightweight panel. So I assume it was just ad purposes ? Apart from that cool video :)
@@electricsupercar Hmmm, I didn't think a non-OEM software odometer was legal because it would be too easy to alter. But if you did it before you must have researched it. Thanks for confirming!
Hey my question is. Will the srs system still work once it's fully electric??
5 месяцев назад
good question, im guessing yes as, atleast from the diagrams i see online its triggered by the airbag system, and thats probably staying inside the car.
I need long format content for monday wednesday and friday to keep me sitting still doing dialysis what would you suggest .. started with going back and watching back catalog of stuff for now .. but it goes quick.. anyone else I should be watching to make my own car :) I have most of the biggies I think I didnt even know I was sub'd to builder creator I had to look :)
Yes he is right does not look great. When going this far remove components screen/ shift lights and cpu (you have the skills) and create dash/housing “new housing” then its clean and custom. Also won’t be sinking back and look like 3 piece not meant to be together. Plus when 3d printing design break aways. Strong enough to mold but placed meant to break 3d printing easily off.
I don't like the display, sorry. I think you can do better with the display. After all, it is the focal point for the driver. I think the screen is too small. A larger screen that takes up the entire cavity would be nicer. Perhaps you can get plexiglass cut and shaped to fit instead of the carbon fiber. Another thing I would do is take the bezel completely out of the screen, and mount it flush to the plexiglass. You could embed a couple of round LCD screens on the sides to display whatever you wish. You can darken the plexiglass in the areas where you don't have anything to display.
I agree that would look better, but that would take much longer to create and trouble shoot. Just getting the same screen working on the electric Hummer was not simple. Never underestimate how frustrating the CAN system can be. Even better than the screens, stepper control the original gauges. But hey if the customer is happy with the screen, why do that much work.
I saw this project the other day: ruclips.net/video/LvADwNukM08/видео.html Something like that would be such a cool touch for this car with the retro/modern style. I know getting it work would be a nightmare, but maybe something to aspire to on future projects.

Clear coat to the carbon will make it pop. Great work love it
You probably don't want a reflective surface near the gauge cluster. It would be brutal in the sunlight. Better to keep it matte.
Your level of attention to detail is what will make you successful. Keep it up 👍
Your fabrication skills continually impress me! Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much!

Great example of "making it your own". Enthusiasts; we greatly benefit from expanding our thoughts of what is possible to do by ourselves
Thanks for the comment!
Another great video! Thanks for the content!
Thanks so much! 😀
Nicely done 👍🏾
The attention to the details is what makes your work Awesome.
Thank you very much!
Nicely done Jeremy! Steady progress. A little highly visible, a little personal pride. Love it.
Thanks a bunch!
Looks very nice. Love the detailed process breakdown.
Glad you liked it!
Love it! Looks great!!
Thank you! Cheers!
WOW. you did it profesdionally. Excellent🎉
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work done by Jay, nice! Love his work as well 🙂
Cheers Jeremy 👍💪✌
Thanks!
I like the dash. For this conversion, it is appropriate.
Thanks!
Awesome 😎😎😎
I don't think anyone would go into so much detail for a dashboard but you did 🤩🤩🤩✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Keep it up 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks 👍
That looks so good! Job well done!
Thank you 😋
Yeah! Finally, videos in 4K UHD! Keep up the good work! Love your videos🎉
Glad you like them!
Great job with it. Be cool to have the original dials however wired to the new systems
The integration is very nice overall! More of these elktromods need those type of well thought out details imo. 👍🏻😎
Thanks!
Nice job Jeremy!
Thanks Friend!
I have this camera. And it's crispy. Very nice dashcam
Nice!
In the future you can make release lines in your mold 3D print so it will split easier especially if you're going to finish the surface after anyway.
👍
Looks good
All the details!
Thanks!
Oh MAN, you do NICE work.... :-) You know how to do SO MANY THINGS. (PS: I like the dash CAM)
Thanks 👍

Great video! If you printed in PLA, would heating up the print have helped it come off the fiberglass easier?
I'll have to try it
Looks great! How are you going to handle the odometer?
Like I did for the electric HMMWV

Lot of space left, Try refurbish couple of old gauges to fit in there.
It will be much cooler
What gauges? All of them are no longer applicable
@@electricsupercarcould you used a DAC to convert SOC to display on the fuel gauge?

The carbon fiber looks great, but I'm not loving the flat spaces next to the display. To me it just looks "empty", like it should fill the whole space.

I'm curious why you didn't print the frame with black ABS and use it directly? It would have saved you a lot of time for a purely functional part.
Did you ever get the MGA resolved?
Not yet

Thank you. Keep us informed.
Wiping the print with acetone would have melted it and saved you an hour of part removal!

Can you make my vaydor into an electric? How much
Send me an email electricsupercar@gmail.com
Would you sell the 3d file for the cluster ?
For a price, yes.

I think you need more clamps
You can never have enough clamps, a fact indeed.

Not his car, just a conversion. I’d charge extra. One screen is hassle enough. To get 3 working, synchronous, and replace. Whole other ball game.
You can totally do that on your car
Take a part module don’t make custom bracket. You could add bigger screen at that point.
He doesn’t like criticism
