Do you wear your dunce mask when you are alone?
Love how Japan can actually have nice things (because they behave). In my country these types of train facilities would be dirty and destroyed within a week :'(
Especially in Murica
That will be lindus country
What Country?
UK would be no better. That vending area would have coffee spilled everywhere, empty sugar packets and used stirrers all over.
@Jedirie J Honest answer? "Diversity". No one feels like a part of the community when everyone is from a different culture.
Every time I watch one of these videos it makes me yearn to be in Japan. A friend of mine got me a Bokksu Box for my birthday, along with the special Sakura themed one. It was so much fun to open and see everything that was inside. It was a nice selection of both sweet and savory. It's been almost a month now and there's still items I have yet to try.
I can't believe there was no one else in the train car. That's how I would want to travel, absolutely no one else around.😆
That train was fancy and the seats looked so comfy. Both bentos looked good but I wanted Satoshi's. It looked amazing with all the different bites to try. Yum!🍱😋
Lol its because one seat costs you a hand and a kidney.
@@zeusolympus1664 Yeah. The train is also badly designed in many ways. All that leg room yet no true "lie-down" seats, bag storage right at the stairs where people all leave at once for maximum congestion, a bathroom holding bar that will poke into anyone who isn't asian lithe, obnoxious door..
I also noticed that there is around 2 minutes of blank footage at the end of the video. I thought that there was some type of bonus footage somewhere in the blank space. Bummer there wasn't any. 😊
In 2019 I went to Japan. I was so happy to be there. This kind of videos bring me back.
I sometimes think you should rename your channel "I will always eat while I travel!" That's a beautiful train and those seats are extraordinary!
So relaxing to share this train ride journey with you. Thank you for helping navigate the food selection processes so your viewers (non-Japanese speakers) can truly appreciate how everything is well thought out and intuitive Japan is. A welcomed oasis when the outside world is too noisy, disruptive, and unpleasant.
I'm really appreciating these POV videos even more lately. It's so relaxing; thank you so much for this content!
I would love to ride both trains. Shinkansen for the speed, and Hinotori for the luxury. What an absolutely beautiful train. Those seats looked amazing.
They both look so much better than the trains here in the U.K.
@@jarvinator100 Don't complain, you should see trains here in the USA.
@@ronalddevine9587 What's wrong with your trains?
@@jarvinator100 They're ancient, slow, and a national embarrassment. We have trains equal to a third world country. Americans prefer to fly. And our airports need remodeling. So, we drive and clog the highways.
@@ronalddevine9587 Our trains are also old and an embarrasment. They're also very expensive and stink of piss and are cancelled for basically anything. Including leaves being on the railway.
Your lovely model Satoshi displays our bentos today.
Wow what a train 😳 and this ekiben (Satoshi's 🤣 of course) looked so amazing, too much work to make this variety at home for one bento. Would love to have such options here as well. Thank you for showing us your travels ♥️
🤤🍱
l must say, that, looking at the way the Japanese organise their lifestyle and day-to-day activities, only leaves behind the impression that this society, its communities and the country stand heads and shoulders above other industrialised modern economies and democracies.
What a well-managed orderly nation!
AS FAR AS BEAUTY & ELEGANCE GO HINOTORII BEATS THE SHINKANSEN BY A MILE. EYE POPPINGLY BEAUTIFUL & SWISHY CLEAN.
What a soothing, pretty train ride. I'm really sick , and this was just what I needed. Ahh, better than meds. And I have to say, what a beautiful train, my, my. Thank you guys..
Hi how are you doing?
Get well
Really love the experience. How beautiful. Thank you! Appreciate this a lot!
Hinotori definitely - love being able to enjoy scenery along the way - also longer time provides excuse for trying something new for meals - thnx for taking us along with you guys 🙏🇨🇦😷
Welcome to Japan !!
If you want to represent the "box" in romaji
It ’s not BOKKSU, it ’s “BOKKUSU”
I ’m a Kanto person, so I did n’t know about Kintetsu trains.
This "Hinotori" is amazing
It feels like first class.
Enjoy Japan!
When people buy the fancy ekibens, do they generally keep the boxes? Some of them seem to be disposable paper and plastic, but a lot of them seem to be made of wood or other materials that seem too nice to just throw away.
Lol I wondered that too I love the cute wooden boxes .. one lady took a trip on one and got this cute snowman plastic box that's reuseable as a money box she said she took that one home .. I'd be tempted to with the wooden boxes too Soo cute !
They are disposable. You can’t reuse them commercially because the food is directly on the wood and contaminates it. One could clean it thoroughly and keep it as a souvenir.
Japanese culture puts a high value on presentation. There are lots of containers and boxes etc which seem just too nice to throw away but that is what happens to them after use.
the Ekiben boxes Ive had are not actually wood but rather a type of foamboard (foam with glossy paper on each side) that depicts a wooden pattern. They look realistic (from a distance!) but are not really reusable as such
Some people have a hobby of collecting the boxes, along with their packaging, as a reminder of all the lunches they have tried travelling through different regions of Japan.
Of course you can keep that, that's why its pricey because of the packaging
👀😍Eating delicious food while enjoying the beautiful scenery on a train!!!!-Always a AWESOME video!!!!!👏👏🤙⚡️
I like watching this kind of video where you only hear the real sounds. Japan is so clean and the food from the vending machines is so good. The trains are awesome, fast, and beautiful.
Man you were killing me with all those delicious looking bento boxes. I'd love to be your traveling companion. Great video .
Japan is an amazing, technologically advanced and extremely clean country!
India 🇮🇳 has alot to learn from Japanese people!
Long live Japan India friendship ❤️
The US could learn a lot about cleanliness from the Japanese, too - and caring for things like trains respectfully. They also have unmanned stores there where you pay on the honor system - that wouldn’t work, here - people would steal from them.
Reduce India's population by 90% and you'll have a chance to advance and clean up your nation
@@DocBree13 I've seen 8 looting videos just this week alone from the US, where mostly teens smash things and steal in broad daylight, not a care in the world. A common denominator in each of those incidences, too.
Those seats look very comfortable. If I'm on vacation, definitely the slower train. Very relaxing.
What an amazing train ride with a beautiful view along the way. This my first time watching a video from the two of you. I have to get used to not hearing nobody talking
Thanks guys for such a relaxing and beautiful train trip. I would totally enjoy taking the Hinotori as the fare is reasonable for the the extraordinary comfort provided. I liked both bento selections. Satoshi's had such an incredible variety of tasty looking morsels and Shinichi's looked quite satisfying, the rice portion looked delicious ( I am a "rice hound"!). The scenery was so peaceful and just gave me a sense of calmness. Shinichi, I love this style of video with no voice over. 👍💯. My mood is always improved after watching your programs on this channel. Thank you, as always. Take care guys and have a pleasant and rewarding weekend. Your loyal follower in Virginia, U.S.A 🤗❤️🚄🍱🙏🌎
My Japanese is not great, but my teen daughters is perfect. I am wondering if there are many vegan or temple Buddhist options on the trains. Especially now that bento train boxes are making a come back. Thank you... really love this. We usually take regional trains but this summer we are going for ferries and bullet trains.
I think If I was in Japan for any longer length of time I would be inclined to take the Hinotori. Because red is my favourite colour and it was a beautiful, quiet train. Also the scenery.
If I was only there for a few days though, I'd take the Shinkansen for the speed so I could visit more places and see more sights. Shinkansen would be great for covering lots of ground in a short time.
Great job on capturing the train with more than one angle on arrival!
The beautiful opening shot wow good job guys
I adore your videos and at the same time, makes me 😭😭 very "懐かしい"
I loved the train rides there so much, did not expect them to be so comfortable, and relaxing. Would love the US to get it together and build high speed train system. No better time than now considering how pitiful the airline industry is right now.
Very interesting to see a small part of life in Japan. I'm impressed by how clean and organized everything is. It would be worth a trip to Japan just to experience the design, layouts and architecture that are so different from American/Canadian life. Thanks for doing this video.
This was such an interesting experience. Which bento box did you all like better?
I liked the fact that there is tea and coffee station and the train was soo smooth that nothing spilled.
I also liked the seats and the leg space! Great for long travels indeed!
These videos are DEFINATLEY my happy place!
Hinotori..and Satoshi's ekiben!
Your own personal car. That was a treat. I want to be in that car.
Makunouchi is the style of bento that I prefer. Keep it healthy, light tasting and not too heavy in the belly for a day of travel. I most enjoy the variety of flavors and textures from the seasonal veg, pickles and the umeboshi. Add a bit of grilled salmon and you now have a complete and tasty bento.
I want the ekiben experience! Everything just look so delicious and nutritious
My idea of heaven, having a quiet, functional first class train carriage all to myself with my fav foods and fabulous views! 😆
The train seats looked like teddy bears. I liked them. I wonder if I count buy one of the bento boxes the lunch came in.
That one handed hand washing so we could still see the facilities after the rest room made me laugh 😂 My husband may he rest in peace would do the same thing! Very interesting video. Thank you for sharing.
Nice that you had the whole car to yourselves, very clean.
That train looked beautiful. My favorite bentos are the ones that can heat up itself to give you a hot meal. Yours looked oishi too
These videos are like you guys go on a office trip and on the way make no effort money and also relaxing before work. Nice idea I would like to say
That Train is so clean.Great views and food.Enjoyed taking the journey with you.
I’m planning a trip this November (hopefully Japan will open to individual travellers) to Osaka, Nagoya, Nara, Hiroshima and possibly Fukuoka. Probably use JR Pass but you have enlightened me to another option. Thanks so much for your wonderful vlogs.
Thank you for your channel ...It's going to help me a lot once I travel to Japan.....I hope early next year when everything gets better. Thanks once again, always stay safe both of you and your friend.
Love how Japan travels around what a nice train.
I miss riding the trains everywhere in Japan. I used to live just outside of Tokyo (Funabashi) and would commute on average 10 hours a week via train to various locations, but it was very enjoyable and relaxing with some amazing scenery.
I really enjoy these quiet videos. Theres something relaxing about them.
Not to say that i didnt like the earlier formats, you guys seem like very nice people!
I miss Japan a lot.
Btw, the bento looks really scrumptious 😋
it's always nice to see videos of the real first world. So beautiful to travel like that.
Lovely train ride. And the bento look delicious. would be a hard choice, but I think I'll go for the one with all the small dishes. Always enjoy those kind of bento so much.
That shinkansen bento looks amazing!
I love this train. It was also covered by someone else IIRC.
BTW, the ending was left blank screen.
I never get into subscription services, but I am really glad that one was provided in this video. I will definitely look forward to being a customer. Great video, there is so much to see, and not enough time to capture everything.
Wow. Very beautiful video.... Satoshi's box looked delicious. Very relaxed ride
I think that I would prefer to travel on this train 👏🏼👍🏻thank you for this adventure ❤️
I love seeing the different bentos they interest me. One of these days I'm going to go to a Japanese grocery store and pick up one try it see how it is. I do live near a big city where I can try that out. Although I would love to go to Japan and try it out for real there that would be great!!!
That box on the first meal alone makes me want to take it home and make it in to a seedling planter or an organizer.
Either one would be fine I think. Both look comfortable. However, if you're not in a hurry, take a little time to enjoy the scenery on the way.
Thank you for taking the time to do these wonderful videos. And show us a small bit of Japan and its culture 🙏
Both trains look like a delight to ride. One thing I've been wondering about with the fancier ekibens, do people keep those or are you supposed to return them for a small refund like glass bottles?
I was wondering about that too. The boxes look like wood, but they sound a bit like they might be styrofoam.
@@brucetownsend691 thank you.
Lockers on a train, with a key for your luggage... now here's an idea for trains in other parts of the world.
I'd take the Hinotori over Shinkasen for sure! Thank you for this lovely journey 😄
WOW train 🚂 ride awesome veiws yummie meal enjoy stay safe and take care 😘❤️👍🥰🤩😍🥰🦄🐈💝👌🌸🌼🌻😊
I have the Influenza right now and this is super comforting. Yet another great video from this channel 🥰
Get well soon 🥰✨
@@katrinlausch3078 Thanks a million ☺️❤️
Those are really good looking Bentos for the price 👍
Thanks for the ride. See you next time guys!!
Omh I thought that octopus was a curled up lizard! Had a minny heart attack there 🤣
9:50 is it just me, or did Satoshi have a 'Can I eat now?' expression while the food was getting filmed? :-)
About the banana and chocolate cake; Those kiosks/bakerys you can find in some subway/train stations are amazing! Got a couple of lemon cakes from one of those bakeries and i just fell in love! Sadly i cant remember what station it was...
i always admire japan as they really look after their workplaces and learning the japanese culture, even im having tuna and mayo onigiri for lunch everyday at work so simple and quick and am looking to expand for the rest of my diet! thanks for the train ride and love the bento box lunch, of i prefer Hinotori as in firebird
I’m always watching yr food vlogs while hungry, quite dangerous says my tummy 😉 😋 and the scenery makes me miss traveling to Japan even more
Japan is simply FIRST class.
Have to say these food boxes of various fish, beef and vegs with fruit looks pretty good, quite sure that if one has this on the trip and relaxes you would have a nice trip. Nice meals. prices are reasonable ......
Really enjoyed this video, so luxurious in reasonable price. I wish to ride one someday. Tnx for sharing😊
wow this train is really have beautiful interior 😲
Wish you would've shown more of the scenery. Thank you for sharing though.
Liked and subscribed. Interesting train. I have been to Japan but didn't use a train. Plan to go on a train on my next trip. Keep the videos coming. 👍 From Queensland Australia
I actually didn't realise this is Shinichi's channel as well. I watched the beginning of the video and I was like "Isn't that Satoshi?"
The seats on the train look a lot like the seats in my Lexus SC 430.
I.would take the Hinotori . . . 👍
That sure looks like a pleasant day!
Everything looks brand new!!!!
Shinkansen is great if you want to get somewhere quick or you don't really care about the journey, but I would prefer Hinotori just because the journey is often a large part of my experience. Especially being able to see the rural places and countryside and sitting in Premium seats, for me it's worth more than rushing on Shinkansen.
yummy woww
that was a nice train ride u had that cabin all to yourselves seats looked
comfortable i could take a nap satoshi lunch looked good i like the little dishes
Just impressed with the option of trains in Japan. It's a beautiful train and with scenery to match. For the price and if time allowed it I would most certainly take the Hinotori.
I would love to ride either one. They are both better than AMTRAK. Thanks for this trip through the countryside.
To me, shinkansen is just as good, similar other than the luxurious seats and vending machines! That bento though 😍
Warm greetings from Indonesia
Thanks Brother for sharing wonderful Japanese train
Wish you always healthy and happy
God bless you and family
The seat design resemble anime bears particularly the single seats and looking at the rear. So kawaii.
As I see the buildings go by in a flash I think, "Every window has a story."
just the bento box itself is so cute
I think I would ride the train just to do the things you did, not needing the transportation at all. What a great video!
The ekiben all look so delicious! And that Hinotori is immaculate! How do they keep it so well-maintained and clean?!
The windows are so big you look like your happy with the seats
