Afrobeats star Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has revealed that infidelity is not a deal breaker for her, stating that she has never ended a relationship solely because of cheating.
In an interview on The Receipts podcast, hosted by Tolly T and Audrey and shared on Thursday, the 44-year-old singer explained that her real dealbreakers include issues like drug abuse, emotional neglect, and ghosting.
“I have been cheated on before. I found out and forgave every time,” Savage said.
“Every man I have ever been with has cheated, and I’ve never left them because of it. I’ve left for other reasons, but not because they cheated. Cheating is not my hill.”
Tiwa clarified that while infidelity itself doesn’t prompt her to end relationships, the disrespect surrounding it, particularly when others are aware of the betrayal, can cause deeper hurt.
“What hurts is the lies about it, though. Maybe other people had known, and then I kind of felt stupid about it, or they’d known for a long time, or if it’s close to home. The disrespect of it is why I could leave, but the actual act of it?
