love how i keep bumping into your channel. i used your guide to build my butcher block desk (turned out great, thank you!) and now here i am looking at pelican cases, and one of the first videos i found was yours! thank you for putting out great content!
I have one I've been using for about a year and a half in professional travel (Airline Pilot). They are tough as nails but the wheels are garbage. Though it's still rolling, it will wake the dead with how noisy they are and, they are definitely at the end of their lives. I'm in the process to replace/upgrade wheels but matching the size on wheels, axles, length, etc. is proving difficult. I'm awaiting the 3rd set.
I have the 1626 AIR. It's 1.5" shorter and 1.4" narrower than the 1615 AIR, but 2.4" deeper, with 8% more capacity while remaining within airline limits for checked luggage, and being long enough to fit my RK3 fins. Unless you need the extra height and width, you want one of the non-black versions, or need the dividers or foam, I think the 1626 is the better option. I am thinking about getting the 1615 TRVL version though. I'd like to have the ability to lock my case, I like the lid organizer, and the Indigo color is pretty snazzy.
The 1626 looks nice too! You really can’t wrong with either one. I like 1615 because they fit all my scuba gear perfectly, especially my Mares fins which are longer than the RK3s. I liked the TRVL version too, but I didn’t need the lid organizer. I ended up buying some third party TSA latches from Amazon instead. I installed them myself and they work perfect. I saved myself quite a bit of money by buying and installing the locking latches myself. I see myself using this case for many years to come. Thanks for watching and safe travels! 😎👍🏼
first thought those were scuffs and scratches on your brand new pelican case… but then i noticed it was cat hair. 😂 thanks for the video. that is something you can’t get from a spec sheet.
This case is too big for United. "The maximum size of a checked bag can be 30 in. x 20 in. x 12 in. (76 cm. x 51 cm. x 30 cm.), including handles and wheels."
The cats really add their expertise to the video
@@kevinthomas895 Haha! They love making cameos 🐈🐈⬛

Thx noodle and max to introduce this case.☺☺☺☺
Noodles and Max say thank you for watching! 🐈🐈⬛
Like the Pelican, but selected the Nanuk brand because the rolling handle was built better and not afterthought like the Pelicans.
@@VegasVaron Nanuk definitely makes some great products. I hope it serves you well! 👍🏼
This was a great video. The content was great and well spoken. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you for the kinds words, and for being a loyal follower 😇
Great video! I just got my Pelican 1535 carry on air travel!! It's the updated model with the TSA latches. It is the perfect carry-on case!
That’s a great carry on case! What kind of stuff are you packing? Are you into photography?

Hahaha, cat hair is a big part of my life now, thanks to Noodles 😹
I'm glad you liked my video. Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Very nice
Thanks for watching! 🙌🏼
what about the TSA locking? how do you secure this luggage?
You can use TSA approved padlocks. There are two places on the lid where you can secure the locks. 😎👍🏼
Is the 1615 too big for domestic checked bag restrictions?
For example, United Airlines allows L"+W"+D"=62"
Anything larger and they charge extra.
The 1615 is exactly 62” so it will be fine. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching! 😎👍🏼
Is this tsa approve case for checkin in?
Yes, it is TSA approved for checking in 👍🏼
Shieeeet, I want one for my scuba gear but they are like 800 bucks here in Europe wtf
That's insane! 😳

Good info 👍🏼
Exterior (L×W×D)
32.58 x 18.40 x 11.02 in is the dimensions. it adds up to under 62 inches. this 1615 is the perfect size
Are wheels and handles included in United's restrictions?
cheap wheels...
