Thanks, I have a sociology undergrad and now 20 years later i'm writing up my dissertation on co-occurrent ASD and ADHD and these lectures are just perfect for clarifying psychological terms that are overlapping into my reading. You are providing enough of an academic hook to show me where to look next and make informed and critical decisions on my sources. thanks again.
have struggled to get my head around this for so long, after watching this it all just fitted into place. I would say that this is relevant to degree level (sitting a degree with OU) just with a bit extra critical evaluation added in! thanks so much x
These videos are AMAZING- thank you so much! Do you think it would be possible for you to do videos on attachment, social influence, memory, and psychopathology? This sort of thing is very useful for viewing after lessons on a topic, i think they would be much appreciated
This video is amazing and has really helped me with the critiques for an assignment! Do you have any references for the strengths and weaknesses? Thank you so much!
Help!!! I have an assignment from social learning theory (I'm in the first year of psychology) . If I write a couple of ideas from the slides it's plagiarism? Is the text copied from a book or are they wrote from your own understanding?
Good luck! These are my own interpretation. You don't have ro worry about plagiarism - there's only so many ways you can put the same theory and there's lots of terminology for SLT. That would be my advice really, stick to the terminology (e.g. identification, modelling, vicarious reinforcement etc.)
@@REDPsychology thank you very much, unfortunately I’ve left it on the last minute because of my work situation but I liked how simple you’ve made it. Thanks you’ve been a great help x
I am confused here; to me, imitation, identification and modelling are the same, all three are are based on copying others . Can you, please, clarify these concepts? Thank you so much :)
Lulu Mari sure - imitation is the act of copying a behaviour, identification is relating to someone (more likely with similar age, gender or a relation) and modelling is the act of a role model e.g. you would imitate a model if you identify with them
liked just because of the effort you had to put in oder to not say they are playing with themselves
LMAO
These videos are ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT to learn from for my transition work between GCSEs and A-levels, couldn't be better! Thanks a lot!
Cory de Ath so great to hear! Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback! 😀
