Awesome editing! You’ve done a great job showing the life of a Pteranodon & the music adds a great touch. Scenery in the game is amazing 😍

I really enjoy playing as Pteranodon when I want to just chill. I think the Pteranodon's night vision needs a bit of tweaking though to at least be able to see riverways and roads while flying on those very dark, rainy nights.
    Great Video!

@NemesisDawn That is the beauty of Pteranodon, it can be chill or intense if you want it to be. It's such a great playable. I agree night vision can use some tweaking, but perfect diet does give you that extra 20% and as adult it does make it quite okay, unless storming, then you be hunkering down and hoping you have a full belly to last out the storm. But fly low, hug the river banks and roads for a better sense of direction. :)
Thank you for the Sub and the comment, and glad you enjoyed the vid!! pleases my soul! :)

@@soulfullcreations7308 I like life in the swamp until grown, then I head to the South Plains and hunt Troodon. I haven't mastered the art of air combat yet, but I'm determined to become a Pteranodon ace like yourself.
      Your flight skills are impressive.

@@NemesisDawn That's exactly what I did in my next coming video. (spoilers)
Air combat is tricky, especially because of server lag at times, although its easier when you have a bit of air awareness so you don't accidentally hit your prey, tree or the ground (like how I died), to practice that just keep flying low to the ground, challenging your flight path and landing in tight spots, after that its just a good line up and aim for the head. (i normally alt attack when I'm swooping also, I think it may do more damage, but I'm not sure).
I am looking forward to mutations, so nesting and designing a suitable ptera. and then I'll comfortably defend my genes and territory from other ptera, because I am normally passive to other ptera, but I want to have dog fights through forest etc. haha.

This is actually my favorite creature from the game, but unfortunately I have no computer so I can't play.
It's so enjoyable to watch though and so I'm happy when I have gameplay of it suggested to me. It's a bit sad most people don't enjoy it anymore, because it means less stuff for me to watch. Hopefully someday when people enjoy it again I'll see more videos of this majestic goose.
My favorite thing to see from these are the landscapes and views, especially when flying, or when two pteranodon meet and their interaction is goofy. I also like how thrilling the experience is, things can go from calm to intense real fast just like real life.
I'm a big fan of birds and bats, or bugs like dragonflies, so pterosaurs became my favorite prehistoric creatures. I've always been fond of the freedom flying critters have achieved, and I hope someday I can achieve the same and live a blissful life where I can enjoy what I do.

      Mine too!
I think people will find the joy again, it just has a steep learning curve with mechanics etc. But its still as enjoyable as before.
hahaha, All my favorite things also!
I am new to editing and i was hoping to give that experience with this video. music wasn't cheezy? it fit the scenes?
did it fill that spot in Pteranodon needs? haha
Your last paragraph is something I think I have personally said before, haha.
I think we share similar views on freedom !
Thanks for your insights my friend

@soulfullcreations7308 awesome to know the feeling is mutual between player and viewer, btw I think the music choice was perfect especially the one towards the end where you were gliding over the world, what's the name of the song? It really adds to the vibe and was pretty enjoyable 20:00

That was fun! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who dies while attacking other players. I swear, I hit the ground and no matter how I hit that space bar, I just can't take off fast enough, sigh. I'm really looking forward to the improvements they're promising for ptera.

Yeah, I have had to learn to use my emergency take off more consistently. Although even then it's hard to get away when everything is faster then you on ground. But it does help to be really random with your escape run, But also hard to do in those high pressure moments. Haha.
If other players are close by, the ground = death Haha.
I hope you enjoyed my vid and thanks for watching :)

I'm very impressed how landing on branches is a lot easier than expected I always thought ptera would kind of slide from the momentum of flying down since they don't have talons like birds do but the landing is pretty anchored solid.

    • @soulfullcreations7308
      @soulfullcreations7308  Месяц назад

Yeah, if you land right it grips you to the branch, but you can slip off just as easy. Landing can be quite difficult as it's kinda hard to no where your legs are regarding to ptera and how zoomed in or out you are. But sliding does occur at time. Haha. Do you play? Or just watching?

@@soulfullcreations7308 I do play, I haven't played Ptera a lot though but Mombi reffered you about your tutorial videos on stamina management.
Despite not playing Ptera a lot, I felt like I was already doing well on the stamina department but honestly your discovery is a game changer.
I never took the time to check if Dondi actually implemented ascending winds on mountains ? somethign about warm updrafts to gain height easier ? It would be worth checking.

Just to be clear the stamina was a natural find for me, when I was making the tutorial I wasn't exactly sure what the differences would be. It confused me how other people would normally play ptera haha. But when I stayed at water access I soon seen that people were struggling. So exploring became a little boring as ptera players wouldn't leave water access because they were frightened of starving and stam management.
And seeing a lot of comments about how ptera is unplayable. So I thought I share my method of playing. Turns out during that tutorial that people weren't watching their stamina bars to actually take note on what the differences were.
The stamina drain was the same in spiro, if you just held it and shot up your stamina would drain, But your recovery from 0 stam was f all time. But now that is penalised.
And they are adding that stuff very soon. Not sure if within the next update or just a smaller update afterwards.
Kissen mentioned that there will be water changes for ptera, new animations, new running and thermal winds and backburner mechanics.
Not exactly sure what that will all mean upon release, but love is coming and once the elder is added the pteranodongame loop will be complete. Very very excited.

@soulfullcreations7308 I love it. I'm not an editor, but the video's feel very organized and pleasant to watch, fitting music, decent scene overlaps, you really mastered that camera angle-use in game too, mostly very smooth. So far I can't help you with the 'constructive criticism', sorry ;) Also, I just have a weak spot for the Ptera, wish I could play it this well.

@@Eclipse1500 wow that's all very much appreciated! As these are the first videos I have ever edited haha. Although I have a hobby in photography, and play and write music. So I think those 2 things fell in my favour.
I too have a weak spot for Ptera as you can see 😜
Thanks for taking your time to write that. Helps me know what I'm doing right :).
I hope you enjoy my new episode,
Camera is a little more crazy but I try to keep control of it as best as possible for that type of gameplay.
Keep playing ptera and practice my tips and you will be flying Luke this in no time.

Thanks Mombie!! It took me some time to figure out a formula for the scenes etc. I was recording my whole play through, which was making editing very difficult and using up 100s of gigs.
Also I have replied to so many comments. but the youtube overlords remove them.. It's strange!
When I'm in a good place for time and equipment for recording ill reach out. so in the future for sure!

@@soulfullcreations7308 thx mate ♥ yeah, was nice to enjoy a few days off. jeez, that's weird. the comments are a story of it's own 🙄 tee-hee, yes, it takes many space on your hard drives. I have an external 1TB SSD just for recording and another 1TB just for editing. I also record all of my session. after that, I cut it into pieces with all the scenes I think I might use. to cut a 5 hours session into those pieces took me about 2-3 hours at the beginning. meanwhile I'm down to one hour. so yeah, I totally feel you on that one. in general you will get faster with time and yet there can always be little details like a transition which takes a lot of your time. as more you go into detail as more you can get lost in time. it's a weird balance between "perfection" and time management 🤣

      @@da.mombie Ahhaha. Aren't they!
True!! Wow, well done! just 1 hour. it was taking the program I use an hour loading different sections of the recording. haha that's why I gave up on it.
But my new formula will work with the style I'm creating anyway :)
I play the game like normal but choose scenes that are beautiful or interesting as time goes on and record about a min or 2 depending on the scene. And when i have finished recording Ill go through each recording then rename each file for a "collective" scene and in chronological order delete the ones that I deem unworthy and rough edit the story and then try fit the music in each collective of scenes.
It took me maybe 15 hours from start to finish.
But yeah I am horrible with time management, like once I start, I cant stop.
And editing gives quick satisfying results which keeps my ADHD brain hooked like a drug haha. that's a good thing and a bad thing, because I cant sleep if its half done, but i get a lot done I guess and no sleep anyway haha. Life.
