The former Pirate King had it, but coud not use it. In his public execution he disclosed about it then everyone went into the seas to get it. More than 1000 episodes later and still nobody coud get their hands on it, but Luffy is very near...
1:39 I think they meant that this first episode tells the story in a very different way than how it is told in the manga despite going to the same ending.

Luffy is the Goat. Millions of us consider him our captain 😅 His character is contagious. This is DEEP and can get VERY dark with a roller coaster of emotions.

A few things of note, Luffy's rubber ability severely reduces impact damage. As for blades, they're often his weakness, but he's a natural fighter and knows how to break them from the side with the proper angle as shown there with those idiots. As for Devil Fruits.... they're rare outside of the Grand Line. But upon reaching the Grand Line, they're more so uncommon than they are rare, so they're more often discovered there.
Good to see you start this amazing story. A couple tips there are some fillers you can skip (mostly all aren't that good besides the Army base arc called G-8). And the Titles of some episodes are major spoilers like spoiling character deaths/victory's etc. I know it's hard to skip the title's cause they appear randomly but it can really ruin a episode.
