Everything about this video is so special to us! The song, the venue, the people... 30 of us worship leaders from all over the GTA together for a weekend retreat to grow and learn from legendary worship leader/songwriter Brian Doerksen. What a privilege it was to work on this one-take collaboration of "Refiner's Fire", one of our favorites written by Brian and to have him be a part of the project.

As it has the joint composer (God being the true originator and joint composer) it can only be the best. Every time I hear Brian's "Refiner's Fire" it goes deep inside me to join the Holy Spirit working in me.

Haven't sung or heard this in probably 25 years and out of nowhere today, it popped into my head, lyrics and all. Had the privilege of singing along with Brian at Langley Vineyard in British Columbia.Back in 1990.
He wasn't famous yet!
Just missed him; when I arrived in Langley, he'd just left on the ill-fated "Father's House" tour across Canada. You were privileged; you were there for the best years. Once he left Mercy (Mercy Vineyard publishing), things changed, almost as though Glory departed from the temple.
