Hi everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video. You are all awesome‼️😊. I hope you enjoy and please don’t forget to like, share with your friends, and subscribe to show your support.
Gread video and beautiful rainbow tapistry.
Thank you so much! ☺️🧡
I really appreciate how you take the time to explain WHY you are drawing or folding a certain way, because sometimes I can't wrap my brain around how it's going to look once unfolded. Thank you!
You’re very welcome. I try to be thorough but sometimes I forget some stuff 😅💖

Aww thank you so much! I really appreciate it! ❤️
That. Is. AWSOME!
Thank you!😊
love from Bangladesh.
Thank you!😊❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your process! I apparently did not watch how you folded it closely enough and ended up with half mandalas but I still love it!! I did this with a bandana and Jacquard dies. Can't wait to try again and get a full mandala! 😆🌈😍🎨
You’re very welcome and I’m sorry for that. Yeah the most important thing is to follow the folds and make sure you find your center. If you choose the wrong corner for the center the mandalas will be facing out or backwards😊💜
Thanks for sharing your work. I use kite string as well as dental floss. The kite string gives you the white lines that you were talking about and I use the dental floss for small folds or childrens clothing. Again, thanks for sharing your work!
Thank you so much for commenting and you’re welcome😊. I hope you enjoyed it. I personally have never used dental floss but that’s a great idea and something I’ve seen before but never tried.
That sounds pretty cool. I’m definitely interested.
You do BEAUTIFUL work! Cant wait to tty blue snowflake Mandalla. Thx. Blessing's

This may be a silly question but I’m wondering if you rinse the tie dyes before the reveals?

I usually see people do the ice dye method for these mandalas. do you notice a difference between the ice and liquid dye techniques for the mandalas? Love your videos, they've helped me really improve my dying skills :)
Thank you so much! I’m really happy to hear that. The main difference with ice dye is that it’s harder to pin point where your colors will expand out. Or I should say how far because the when the ice melts it carries the dye with it. With liquid dye you have more control. For instance if you want to keep a white area white. Hope this helps😊
Wow.. beautiful
Thank you!😊
this is so fantastic!! Thank you so much for this video
You’re very welcome. Thank you for watching!😊
But is that color will fix in the cloth?
Wow! Amazing! 💯🌈😊
Thank you so much! ☺️❤️🌈
Beautiful. How long did d colour stay bfor loosing d tie
Thank you! Back when I made this video I was using tulip pouches so the dye faded over time but now I use fiber reactive dyes from Dharma Trading Company and none of my tie dyes have faded since.
Did you thicken your dye at all for this? It's absolutely beautiful 😊
Thank you so much! For this one I actually didn’t but for more complex projects I do😊💜
Thank you so much! For this one I actually didn’t but for more complex projects I do😊💜
It's really super beautiful.
Thank you so much 😊💜
I've tried a couple of your tapestries and am getting better, but still working some things out. Your dye work is exceptional and so fun to watch. What kind of dye do you use (brand)? Also, how do you keep they dye from bleeding?
Aww thank you so much!!! I use dharma trading company and grateful dyes. Both companies have so many awesome colors and are quality. I have been tying up items and letting them dry out to prevent bleeding. It helps a lot, also, you can make your dye thicker by using sodium alginate. I actually have a video called Riahs tips and tricks where I show you how to make it my way. I really hope this helps 😊
@@RiahsTieDye Tremendously helpful!!! You’re the best! I’ll check out that video now!

Amazing!!! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Thank you so much! ☺️❤️🌈
What type of coil or string are you using?
I’m using sinew ☺️ there is a link for it in my description box
It would be alot easy to follow a long if when you say fold in half you specify wether to fold in half long ways or short ways because it really makes a difference in the results
You are right however, this tapestry is the same length and height so it actually doesn’t matter in my case. Now if you are folding a tapestry that’s a lot longer than the height then that’s more of a preference thing. Also, this is a mandala so the design literally goes around the tapestry “in a circle” if you will so no matter what way you turn the tapestry it should have come out the exact same. I understand what your saying though and thank you for the comment ☺️❤️
Very nice
But which colour you use in this painting
Thank you! I used tulip pouch dyes when I did this video ☺️
Turned out beautiful!
Thank you!😊
Nice
Thank you! ☺️❤️
It's really super beautyful,,,love it
Thank you so much!😊 I’m glad you like it.
Can I tie dye on silky material.
You definitely can! Silk is a natural fiber and will take the dye. I would just check to see if it’s a blend of silk and something else or 100% silk. Hope this helps😊🌈
I just commented on another video asking if you could do this with liquid dye 😂 so happy you can!!!! Love your peices 💕
Thank you so much!💜😊. I'm really glad to hear when people enjoy my videos. If you make your own I would love to see!

Hi good day how much material do I need to make the tapestry thank you bless I enjoy your work,🌹🌹
You can make it any size you would fold it the same way and draw your design smaller or bigger fibers be ☺️💛
Can we wash it with water if it does
Yes. By itself for the first time and wash and dry like normal after that!😊💜
Very nice!!!
Thank you!😊💜

After washing the color faded , where did I make a mistake. Can you help me?
Hi. I’m sorry to hear that. Did you let sit for at least 24 hours and also did you wash with Synthrapol textile detergent?
Im trying to do a mandala but I only have rubberbands. Will this work?
I’ve only tried that one time and I gave up lol. You would have to wrap them super tight without it snapping to even hold it in place. I don’t know if you have any laying around but you could try to tie it up with twine or jute if you haven’t gotten kite string or sinew yet.
I'll have to go pick some up.
Can you fold and tie your tapestry and then soak it in soda ash or does it have to be unfolded?
I wouldn’t recommend it because you want your tapestry damp or even dry when you dye it and it will take forever for that to happen if you do it that way.
How do you get your color so even on those super thick folds?
I oversaturate it honestly. Just be careful of getting to close to the other colors ☺️
Thanks
@@RiahsTieDye i am just starting out on my tie dye venture , so thank you for being a creative inspiration. Couple of questions; is there anything i can pick up at the local grocery or walmart type store to use as a substitute for soda ash and the synthrapol?
@@angelarubio-vi1zm if you have a local pool store they always have soda ash also you could be fine with like All Free and Clear. You just don’t want fragrances and such in your soap.
Beautiful
Thank you so much 😊
Muito lindo amei
Thank you so much😊
Pls how much will it stay before you loose it?
I mean how long
Time frame
Hi and thank you for your question. This sat for 24 hours before rinsing and revealing😊
What rope are you using
Hi and thank you for your question. For this tapestry I am using sinew. If you’re unfamiliar with sinew I have a full tutorial video on my channel that you can find here...
ruclips.net/video/akBddh28sPs/видео.html
Hope this helps 😊💜
Do you wash your items like regular laundry before you soak in soda ash?
Hi and thank you for your question. I sure do. Then I soak in soda ash for at least 20 minutes and then spin out in the washer so the material is damp but not dripping wet. Hope this helps😊
@@RiahsTieDye is it best to tie dye while wet or dry? And is it the same for ice dye, water dye and reverse dye as far as the material being wet or dry?
I have found that it’s better to tie up while damp but to actually let the material dry out before dyeing. This goes for liquid and Ice. For reverse dyeing I’ve found that the bleach takes better when the material is wet. If you’re reverse Tie dyeing (adding color after the bleach part is done) I would apply the color with the material dry just like regular dyeing😊
Another tap🤗🤗🤗🤗❣️
😊😊😊👍! The plan is 1 a week for now but hopefully more soon🙂
Riahs Tie Dye So excited for the next tap🤗

Mam what is color
But is the colour will ever fix in cloth
I’m not sure if I understand correctly but if you are asking if the color will stay then yes as long as the cloth is 50% Cotton or any other natural fabric. Hope this helps😊
Yes dear I ask that question
Thanks
You’re very welcome😊
Where do you get your fabric to make the tapestries

Sorry for the double reply. It wasn’t sending😂
can you use rubber bands?
Hi thank you for your question! You can but the colors tend to bleed more because you can’t get them as tight as sinew. However, if you do use the rubber bands you could either try to keep the colors away from each other or put each color over top of the next just a little bit so they blend and make more pretty colors 😊 I hope this helps! Have a fantastic day!
I just white sheets from thrift shops. They do not fold as easily
That’s awesome! I may have to start taking some trips there to see what’s available.
Is this salfar or vet colour??
