JR was the best part of the whole show. Just 4 straight hours of listening to him try to come up with creative ways to say how fucking bad the show was had me laughing in every match
No punk was
My personal favorite was during the Women's Title Match when it was becoming noticeable that Thunder Rosa & Serena Deeb were running out of gas: "It may look like these moves are sloppy, but they're just doing alot."
“DIPPIN DOTS FOR GODSSSAKESS!!
Lmao. JR was second to the Rosa/Deeb match.
@Valhalla Erikson I quite liked Starks' decision to just try and get a shag while walking the top rope
Holy shit. The Weekend at Bernie's reference dragging around Jeff like a corpse is brutal and hilarious.
Yep
This was beyond sad to see Jeff this broken down. Matt has been finished since he cracked his skull against Sammy
It's part of the gimmick... There's Broken Matt and now Broken Jeff
Jeff screwed Jeff. No sympathy what so ever. He chose to do this to himself. He chose to jump off of ladders like it's 2008.
Jim's been saying this since last year. So it's not like something that just happened over night.
@@ToxicAvengerCleanYourMind lmao
Did Jeff injure his ankle or leg during the match? His boot was totally unbuckled and he was hobbling around the entire match after that. It looked like he was trying to climb to the top rope without putting any weight on it.
I think the problem is his knees
Tony is the happiest man on earth lol.. He has a new haircut, glasses, two earrings... he's living his best life lol
Lol hell yea!
@@4cuttime seriously... Tony should thank God and Conrad Thompson for everything he has within the last 5-8 years.. Tony's hanging out with Brit Baker D.M.D, traveling across the country, reliving his glory days and... He has a beard now lol. Who saw that comin??!! Short answer, absolutely no one lol 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️😆😆
@@chrisgrissom3610 He does thank Conrad just about every week on the podcast. Tony knows who butters his bread.
People forget that this match happened 5 years ago, in a ladder match in ROH a day before WrestleMania 33. Now, this match showcased how hard Matt and, especially, Jeff fell from their prime.
5 years ago already?! Fuck! Time flies by
WWE: Debuts the Hardy’s at WM33 to a pop of 70k+
AEW: Debuts the Hardy’s, having Jeff come out and dance whilst Matt is getting beaten up.
Yeah I’d suggest anyone who’s a fan of these 2 teams watch that ROH match instead of this one.
Well everybody ages eventually
@@homedeezyfasheezy5662 I agree there ROH match was much better
Jeff Hardy was still banged up from that crazy Darby Allin match. Seeing him do this to himself at his age is sad. I get that they're doing this to win the tag belts, but come on.
He shouldn't have done that match if they had this one lined up for the PPV. Darby also looked slightly off against O'reily. The Hardys have to change their wrestling style or just retire.
Yeah, it's ridiculous that Jeff didn't get at least a two week break after that match. The guy is not in his 20s anymore. His body needs time to recuperate.
At least he's getting a break from wrestling this week.
@@NightEnigma8 Why would you book Jeff and Darby to have that match if you had a sold out PPV and planned Dream Match waiting that required him to be at his best?
@@ProjectH1980 because Tony is playing GM mode.
@@tylerboy612 Oh! I get it, he forgot to turn off the injuries setting in the options menu. That explains it 🤣
The Rock and Roll Express move better than the Hardy's at this point
The Hardys even wrestled on one of the AEW RUclips shows at least once. Tony Khan had no plan when he brought Jeff to AEW.
Yes huh. Jeff Hardy = profit. That was the plan.
@@teebird6952 agreed
Why would you plan something for Jeff Hardy? Sooner or later he drops out of an ongoing program anyway. Tony only brought him in hoping to get some of that Jeff Hardy fanbase of dumb 12-year-olds and ugly fat chicks.
Tony Khan payed premium price for past their prime Hardy Boys.
Absolutely correct about Caprice Coleman.
This is exactly why WWE kept The Hardy's "on a leash" during their last run. Their too old for this shit.
It's not only that they're too old.
They keep destroying themselves more by keep going.
Only braindead aew marks were waiting for this.
I knew how this was gonna go.
Matt literally limps to the ring, it's just sad at this point. Maybe not Flair levels, but at this level they will both end in wheelchairs in a decade.
And if one of them got a serious injury VKM would get hell. TK will get off easier cause the diehards will push that the talent have creative freedom to choose.
@Dino Vasiljevic the blow Jeff hardy videos don’t come out until week bud . Bye !!!
AEW should use the Hardys similarly to the way WWE used Undertaker for years. Only have the Hardys wrestle on ppvs. A month before a ppv have a team come and issue a challenge to the Hardys. The Hardys show the following week to accept the challenge. Do an angle to to build the match. Have the challenging team do some promos. Then do another angle on the go home show before the ppv and then the ppv match and the Hardys are gone for another few months until a month before the next ppv.
That would work with a 4 ppv calendar
Or Jeff needa leave Matt and become The Antichrist
Taker practically retired once he stopped wrestling on Smackdown, let's just imagine the few times he wrestled after don't exist.
@@eastwaters4082 aside from the match with Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania, the debacle in Saudi Arabia that wasn't his fault(Goldberg ko'ed himself minutes into the match) and the debacle in Australia with Triple H and HBK. The vast majority of his semi retired matches were perfectly fine. Honestly, I had hoped that his final match would be at a Wrestlemania against the only two men to beat him there, Undertaker vs Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar in a triple threat. Brock and Roman could handle the heavy lifting of the match. Taker does a few signature spots and gets his win back against the only two blemishes on his Wrestlemania record.
8:10 I love how you can almost hear the fear in Jim realising that he's going to have to pay the Hardly Boyz a compliment...
All seriousness though, fair play. I mean, sure, he turned it into a backhanded compliment but it's decent that he's at least acknowledging their contribution as they were pretty much orchestrating Weekend at Bernie's III with the (unfortunate) condition the Hardys find themselves in these days.
He put them over after their match with FTR. His mouth is already full of vomit.
No disrespect to the Hardy's, but their bodies have been beaten to hell for over 20 years now and it shows.
Combine that with their age, it's really hard to hide their decreased athleticism and slow movement at this point...
At first, I read that as “deceased athleticism” and honestly, it still works.
More like 30 years. They started in the indies back in ‘92, when they formed their own Indy promotion.
Them boys just need to pop some roxies before a match
Gee I wonder why Jeff wasn't getting that big push in WWE
I was hoping The Hardys were going to come out with Gangrel as the New Brood. Bless 'em, they're too banged-up for their style of wrestling now.
And Christian?
@@johnhill6412 Chisty isnt a high flyer, or a hardcore legend. His style is much safer.
@@KennyOmegasCavity And even he had to leave the business for years because of concussions
The Bucks dressed up like the Hardy's and did the New Brood entrance with Gangrel on the Rampage before the PPV.
Caprice Coleman was amazing in ROH on commentary with Ian Riccaboni, they are entertaining and sound legit.
Coleman was so good he literally put the rest of the commentary team to shame.
Can't believe they didn't give Tazz any love, he's my favorite commentator there
He is so good he has a regular slot on Botchamania
@@skum73 but not because he botches. tazz is by far the best over there.
I don't see why they don't use Taz on commentary Excalibur is not nearly as bad with Taz and Taz is better then every member of their team
The Hardys wouldn't be so bad if AEW didn't use them as much. I think they have been in a trios match or two....Jeff was in the tournament ...and I think they've done a couple of tag matches before this one.
That's too much.
Their age and beaten bodies get harder to disguise.
6 man tag. Never say trios again. 😂
I think the reason they used him so much was ratings and $$$ it’s sad but hey seeing Jeff back and the Hardy’s back on TV again is exciting to people
@@DJANGO_excl I think so, too.
Sounds good on paper until you see in what condition that piece of paper is in.
@@hollywood21639 what is wrong with him saying trios?
@@nmorgan2380 it's completely stupid
Someone should do a compilation video of AEW wrestlers struggling to climb to the top rope. It's like the ropes have oil on them.
Khan "blesses" the ringposts before every show 🤮
If they hadn't had Jeff wrestle matches on Dark maybe he'd of been in slightly better shape for this match.
It may just be diminishing returns at this point, the more he's in there, the more broken down he'll be.
I never understand the knock on dark but house shows are good
@@Punkinlunk Not knocking Dark. Saying that there is absolutely no reason that the Hardys should be wrestling on it. They should be saved for big matches.
Another instance of hypocrisy amongst fans who take things too personally. Complaining about one company using too many nostalgia acts(which isn't really true anymore) while another company quietly gets more nostalgia acts yet seem incapable of making them still look good. Christian and Billy Gunn still look great for their ages yet are sidelined while Hardys look battered, Punk looks old, and wel..I guess technically now Jericho looks better than he did.
You are spot on with this take
@@fredbrown8344 thanks but just seemed like an odd thing when the legends and part time thing is rare nowadays but it was another Punk talking point from 10+ years ago fans use.
Also even if AEW didn't put out more old guys that look and perform like it why disrespect legends at all? Imagine saying music can't make new stars because Steve Wonder and Aerosmith had 10 minutes on a 3 hour Grammys show lol.
Greatest picture yet! Travis you’re a genius.
I remember the night punk came back, escalibur goes "wooooooowwww" and you couldn't tell if he was happy or sarcastic. They really need to get rid of him
That was Mark Henry
They made zero attempts to hide talking to each other. At one point one of the hardly s boys put his hands up to his mouth clearly to yell at Hardy boy.. this was embarrassing
One of the worst matches on the Card. Had this been 10 years early it might have been a good match. Matt had to carry not only Jeff but the Hardly Boys. The Hardlys did their normal shit, I was surprised they actually put the Hardys over. Jeff just looked bad in every way from his walking into the ring, to the weird issues with his shoes, to his overall in-ring performance. Now there are rumors that he got fucked up during the Darby match, if that is the case this is on both him and the Khanman for not pulling him out of the match earlier. I really worry Jeff is going to hurt himself or someone else in an AEW at the rate he is going. He needs to retire and honestly so does Matt. They have nothing left to prove to anyone.
Breaks my 💔 to hear everyone comment on how bad Jeff is looking out there this last run, WWE knew he wasn't the same Jeff which is why they kept him on a leash and it pissed Jeff off because we're always the last person to know it's over for us.
I think that ship has sailed.
Without no one with guts around telling them to stop, both will be in wheelchairs in the next decade, this whole thing is making guys like Jeff fall down into painkillers again, it's a match for chaos.
Sadly, we can only hope for the best outcome for both of them. I find hard to believe there's fans out there telling them to keep going after they can see how they can barely move and limp into the ring.
Nostalgia junkie fans are the worst sometimes.
I think he unlaced the shoe himself to make a palatable excuse for slow performance. He was most likely hurt but rather than cancelling he tried to go through it. The real problem is the booking that got him fucked up so quickly when arguably at this point in another company, this would be the first time he even Swantons anyone in a match for pops. They've had Jeff eat dust of every ladder in every town so far at an unsustainable rate.
@@mattiveli1898 - You're wrong because his boots didn't have laces, they were buckle downs and you could see one the buckles snapped when he went to the top rope the 1st time. He then gave himself a concussion performing that flip directly after his buckle broke. That's why he was like a zombie for the rest of the match.
“I really worry Jeff is going to hurt himself” people have been saying that for over 20 years now. Worry about your own life
Say what you want but Vince is happy that shit ain’t going down on his tv .
The Weekend at Bernie's reference was fucking hilarious.
As a Hardy Boys stan I’ll admit that Jeff Hardy has been washed for probably 4 years now. Everytime he hits a Swanton i cringe, not because it’s corny but because I know his back is hurting like crazy from doing that move
Jeff and Matt should have taken the Edge approach and wrestle every once in awhile
And even then not do a lot of the crazy jumping off of stuff spots as they just don’t do them as well now.
Jeff is my all time favorite and I don't watch him in AEW after I saw his first couple matches, he was like this in WWE to be fair. He's so beyond broken down.
@Dino Vasiljevic I’ll send you money to give Jeff Hardy! I’m not a casual fan like these guys! Send me your account and routing numbers and I’ll give $3000 to the Jeff Hardy knee replacement fund!
This was like watching the Midnight Express vs the New Midnight Express in 1998.
Except Bobby could still work in '98.
Should've listened to Undertakers advice. The moment you make high flying off ladders your thing people will always want higher and more dangerous.. The Hardys need to reign in the sick bumps. The Bucks will be just as hurt as the Hardys in 5 years..
Hardy’s definitely are top 2 of this generation for me
This was honestly worse than Jeff vs Sting in TNA. At least there Sting knew to end the suffering real quick.
And of course the difference between this and that Jeff Hardy had a problem in this match because he's old and broken unlike a match with sting when he was clearly on drugs thank goodness he got off of those unfortunately if you listen to the thing after the Pay-Per-View Tony Khan started taking those drugs
Wow, Jim is going to LOVE this. The Hardys wouldn't be his style of wrestling and we know the Bucks aren't. That one spot where Jeff Hardy basically no-sold a hit from the top rope to the outside was hilarious.
Is that your real last name?
@@sebastiansegovia1415 yes, why?
@@christhornycroft3686 for real though?
Both Jeff and Matt shouldn't be wrestling on AEW every week period. Their bodies are clearly very banged up due to the bumps and past injuries. It also doesn't help that they do indy shows during the weekends as well. Jeff has lower back problems and Matt's legs don't even work properly anymore...... Putting them on a schedule similar to Sting's could help them.
Tony Khan doesn't really feel like a boss of a wrestling promotion. He comes across as a fanboy who wants to be one of the boys. The guy needs to grow up and tell these wrestlers no sometimes.
This match was ehhh, even the Rock and Roll Express moved better in that match they had with FTR than the Hardy's did in this one...
Heh I was thinking Ricky Morton could go better than Jeff hardy.....today.
@@joshx022 lolz ya really getting carried away with the Jeff slander now.

The bucks Elvis intro reminded me of the tna ppl when jarrett, Nash, and hall did it

The worst part is they have no clue at all
@@TD1021- You're being worked.
This match was an embarrassment
Lol, I love the artwork more than the actual match. Also just realized it's Weekend At Bernie's. A film I know a lot about but have never actually seen.
One of the best movies ever made. One night grab a pizza and put it on. Its a farce yes but it's hilarious.
The great Character Actor Terry Kiser played the dead Boss that they took Waterskiing (yes, that actually happened on screen) in this Legendary Comedy!😂🤣😂🎤🏄♂️(no Waterskis Emoji)🎥🤼♂️B.W.
Years ago they were supposed to make a second sequel called, Weekend At Ernies. Bernie Lomax has a twin brother in Vegas that gets killed by the mob and Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman would have to pretend he's still alive to get out of Vegas alive
Corny and weekend at Bernies, Well done Travis
Oh boy here we go! Double or Nothing reviews!
If you watch Jeff Hardy the past few matches he's been in ,you can definitely tell he has a back issue...every time he does his thing off the top rope he is clutching his back
Admittedly I didn’t check out much of ROH during its dying days but I remember around 2017/2018 NJPW brought in Caprice Coleman to do commentary with Kevin Kelly and I can remember really digging his contribution. He can be a bit goofy at times but nothing too over the top. He’s definitely better than a lot of guys in that position. Hopefully AEW can find a spot for him along with a competent sidekick on commentary.
Watch ROH and take a shot every time he says, "That's the end, Riccaboni, I guarantee it" or some permutation thereof.
I pickled my liver in two hours.
@@WarGhoulKharas damn that sounds like some Caprice ass shit lol. That’s exactly what I’m referring to in regards to him being a bit goofy.
It’s like one of those catch phrases along the lines of listening to Vince McMahon on commentary when he says “Wow, What a maneuver!!!”
Brian and I both snort laughed at the mention of Bernie Lomax 😂😂😂
The thumbnail is elite😆
As soon as I heard Jim say it, I knew this would be the artwork. Travis always delivers. Unreal.
I think we're all on the same page, aren't we? That The Hardy's should wrestle on occasion to give them time to heal and to maintain their aura of legends.
Hardy Boyz need to retire its Sad and Pathetic watching them trying to wrestle especially Jeff Hardy who is wrestling in Pain and needs to call it a day otherwise we will have a Future Darkside of the Ring episode on our hands.
Jeff Hardy is one of the most popular wrestlers of all time worldwide no matter who likes him or not. No-one can ever take that away from him. No matter how beat up he is, he will always be the greatest to me and I don't care if he isn't the traditional wrestler.
The artwork has me dying. Lmao.
Mentioned Ian Riccaboni, where is he at? He did a couple Matches on Impact TV when the Honor No More Guys showed up and then Tony bought ROH, no sign of him at all on Commentary
The Weekend At Bernie’s visual had me lmao
I wanna see the Hardys vs the rock n roll express in AEW.
I fucking DIED at 02:00 💀😂 Brian knocked it out the park
I was at the event.. kudos to Brandon Cutler for an epic bump on the apron.. it was honestly fantastic
Watch the Royal Rumble 2000. There's a tag team table match between Dudley's and Hardy's and at the end, Matt was carrying Jeff back to the ring and pushing him. Very reminiscent...
I laughed this entire video. Fire Knox and Pockets right off bat hahahah
3:39 incredible explanation about the young bucks
I love how Brian has nothing but disgust for Pie Face.
Matt Hardy looks like Waylon Mercy in the thumbnail lol
I honestly thought the first half of the match was bad but they did pick it up a bit in the next half.
Watching Jeff Hardy in the AE and the RA eras was breathtaking, everyone were on the edge of their seats. Watching Jeff Hardy with him now it's painful. He doesn't move as good as he used to, every step he takes looks painful and he botches moves that back then he could have easily pulled off.
Cant wait for Jim to review the MJF promo, I have a feeling he is going to like it.
Big fan of caprice. Glad to hear he was so well received
Jeff reminds me of Ozzy wondering around his house on their reality show...
Been waiting for this one
Off topic sending this comment after watching AEW. Talk about sending Shockwaves around the world of wrestling, MJF did it again. HOLY COW. UNFORGETTABLE.
i was SHOCKED the bucks put the Hardys over
Tony and excalibur sound like they’re casting spells
Oh boy here we go!
Matt hardy legs dont bend lol
why would that be funny? They're both completely banged up for life, due to spending their lives entertaining fans. Have some respect.
It was especially sad to see jeff you could tell he was in pain and couldn't move like he use to and his face showed it plus that's why he was pulled from the match for tonight
I thought Jeff seemed off right from the entrance. Then he leaned the wrong way for the Bucks mockery.
I got luv for you Jim but The Hardys are the one of the greatest EVAAAAAA!
A couple of years ago Doc Emrick retired from NHL announcing. If you aren’t into hockey even a tiny bit, you might not agree with this, but that guy could make me jump out of my shoes with excitement. JR was the same way in the Attitude Era. So much excitement and pure reaction to what they’re watching. Those types of guys are dying breeds. Some of the NBA announcers can sort of get me there.
Mike Lange and currently Jim Donovan are also examples of this.
@@JWS1985 scratch my back with a hacksaw
Doc was the best. JR in the attitude era made moments better and bigger than they would have been without him, he really had his fastball then.
Sadly, the great man's best days are behind him. Tony would be wise(he won't) to gracefully move JR along and give Ian the seat. Can't do it forever.
Just thinking of other great announcers and how important they are,
Mike Breen, the NY Mets booth, Ian Eagle and of course the 🐐 Gus Johnson.
He was like SEC Basketball's version of Jim Ross with his enthusiasm and catch phrases ("Stuffarino!" for a Slam Dunk and "String Music!" when someone tickled the twine on a deep 3 pointer). I really enjoyed the work of the late great Joe Dean, Senior, and his more reserved Broadcast partner the late great John Ferguson. And the connection of Mr. Ferguson to NBC TV AFL Broadcasts is intriguing. Infrequently enough The Los Angeles Chargers (1963 AFL Champs), Houston Oilers, and Kansas City Chiefs were shown. And of course all three of those teams starred Grambling, Louisiana Legend "Big Cat" Ernie Ladd!🤔🎤🐅🏀🏈🤼♂️B.W.
Wheres the full episode Brian? Give em to me!
I'm just glad they didn't make it a Ladder match like in ROH, it's horrible watching Jeff slowly climb the turnbuckle then do a crazy bump knowing full well he could put himself in a wheelchair, always been a huge Jeff Hardy fan but he needs to calm down with his bumps, looks like it's hurting him to move around at this point, a good match but don't wanna see Jeff in a wheelchair
Anyone know what the hold up is with the full videos?
Fact of the matter is Jeff left WWE because Matt probably sold it to him that AEW is lenient and won't punish him as bad if/when he fucks up. He's damaged goods the last time looked normal was that feud he had with Sheamus during the 2020 cinematic match era.
Does Matt have one foot smaller than the other? I remember see this trampoline video with him jumping barefoot and it looked like he had a mini foot.
Caprice Coleman was trained by the Hardys. Not sure if it was mentioned on commentary or not.
Jim and Brian should have saw the news that it was the hardcore match against Darby that injured and affected Jeff in this match. I definitlely agree they did way too much way too soon and that injured Jeff for what should have been their biggest and best match in AEW so far.
Jim's dream match.
Have you guys been paying attention to Paul White on the mic lately? I really think they should put JR with Paul White and have a second team audition during the dark shows IMHO. The lackluster commentary is really hurting the presentation and hopefully once they fix the hole there things will begin to pick up. The next thing AEW needs to add is a pair of elite level referees. Refs who actually keep track of the rules and can count to 10!
JR is a legend but he and Tony hurt the commentary more than anything. Dude questions things on the air and only gives energy when he sees someone he likes. That and constantly adding Jack Perry to the Jungle Boy might be entertaining but it's also bad for the product itself. Man in the mask works with the show they. Just a dork being able to articulate what's going on just devoid of emotion. You add Coleman and a third to him and you're set.
AEW needs RJ City as color commentator.
I think that Matt already knows that he and Jeff are hurting. I liked him as a heel when he had the HFO and submission move The Leech.
The Hardyz need to take notes from the Rock N Roll Express. Less bumps and more crowd psychology.
It's too late the rock and roll has been wrestling like that for 40 years and the Hardee's who really now truly are the broken Hardy's have already killed themselves
1:36 lol.
Jeff's shoe broke in the middle of the match, he didn't want to risk doing his moves as he normally did for fear he could slip right out of the shoe and break his neck. This is the problem with planning matches and not calling them on the fly, they keep going with their stuff and it comes off really bad.
He also gave himself a concussion performing that flip after his shoe broke. He hit the back of his head off the canvas.
Jim, you must listen to MJFs new promo from tonight. Just exceptional and fantastic --- we haven't witnessed anything like this in 25 years
Matt Hardy might have a future as a manager/non competing stable leader but it’s time to hang up the boots at this point… Jeff isn’t as good of a promo so I’m not sure what his future could look like but it’s really sad seeing legacies tarnished like this
You actually have to give some respect to Bucks for actually carrying this match and still putting over Hardy's and trying to make it a good show. They weren't as the Bucks as they usually are, and toned down with acrobatics they feel more like wrestlers than usual. I hope they keep that up since less is more works better for them. Jeff seemed like he was hurt from the moment he walked in. It was painful to watch for sure, but they pushed through to it with some grace. I'll even say it's the best work Matt Hardy has done in while trying to patch the mess.
I think that any realism this match had came from Matt, though.
Lol @ 6:40 😂😂😂#IndieRiffic
Kind of lame how they brought Gangrel back only to do nothing with him.
the hardly boys snapped photos with him and put it on social medial. why go to a wrestle-con when u can have the wrestle-con come to you

Happy to hear the appreciation for Caprice Coleman, completely underrated Commentator. I say keep him, Taz and maybe Excalibur (idk why we need 3 men on the table, 2 was just fine) and it would be great.
