Do you think OM Systems will manufacture any of the small primes currently branded Olympus? Will they release a 17, 25 or 45 1.8 under the OM brand? How about the 75 or the 60mm macro? Are these small primes destined to become collector's items, now that OM is concentrating on long lenses for wildlife? What are your thoughts Rob?
Hi Rob, Could you assist with the following IS question? I'm using the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS and the OM-1 Mk2 with IS. Do I use one or the other or both in tandem? I've read comments for and against both sides. Appreciate your thoughts on the subject.
I don't have this lens/camera combo, but the way I understand it, the IS syncs at the smaller focal lengths and then it goes to Lens IS only at the longer focal lengths. I don't see any reason not to use sync IS. At shutter speeds above 1/2000s, it really doesn't matter as much. I sometimes turn off all IS at those shutter speeds and haven't noticed any problems. Other than remembering to turn it back on.
When it comes to shooting birds, the longest lens you have is never long enough.
Guess I overslept again! Great stream.

I'm sure OM will eventually rebrand everything. I don't think the Olympus branded lenses will become collector's items.
