    Thank you so much for educating people about the non-existent certifications for essential oils. I see people buying & feeling better about “quality” because they believe this is a standard. Plant Therapy is 100% my only choice for oils.

    Which oils are safe to cook with?

    • @Planttherapy
      @Planttherapy  5 лет назад +1

      All of our Essential Oils are 100% pure free from any chemicals or pesticides and are ingestible. However, we do not recommend the ingestion of any essential oils. They are highly concentrated and have the capacity to cause serious damage if used internally without the necessary expertise required in administering it. This is supported by the International Federation of Aromatherapists. To learn more about ingesting essential oils, check out our post ‘Can Essential Oils Be Ingested’. www.planttherapy.com/blog/2014/01/14/can-essential-oils-be-ingested/

      Please email us at cs@planttherapy.com. We can tell you the oils that are GRAS (generally recognized as safe) for cooking. As far as cooking with them safely you would want to talk to a certified aromatherapist. You can find them near you by searching at www.naha.org. We hope this helps!

    Can you please suggest some brand name for pure essential oil. Also suggest me essential oil for acne, wrinkles and sun burn.. Asking lot in a one go🤗
    Thanks you look so confident and content in what you are doing.

      Personally speaking, I would not recommend fragrances or essential oils for acne, wrinkles, or sunburn, but rather something like a simple and gentle moisturizing wash or lotion to treat those conditions. Essential oils, especially spicy ones, like cinnamon, peppermint, etc., and citruses when exposed to sunlight can irritate the skin.

    Why wouldn't my organic, Bulgarian lavender smell like lavender? Is it normal for some oils not to have that strong, plant smell? As we might be used to synthetic scents

    Hello, I love your videos and ofc, web page. I'm willing to buy from you, I would just like to know if it's true that not-pure essential oils leave oily marks on paper and pure don't?

    • @Planttherapy
      @Planttherapy  2 года назад +1

      Hello! This is known as the blot test. What is the blot test you might ask? The blot test is where you put a drop of oil on an absorbent paper. After a certain amount of time if the essential oil is “pure” it should evaporate and not leave behind a grease spot. Which is what you are inquiring on today.
      Now this might sound like it makes complete sense but I want to go over a couple of points that you might want to consider when doing a blot test. First the blot test is not always fool proof. There are some oils that will not work with the blot test because of their natural make up. Some essential oils have a natural tint to them and naturally aren't as volatile. If you were to use the blot test with these oils, then the tint would be left behind. It should not be greasy but there will be a tint of color.
      The second thing to think about is that the greasy spot that is often left behind when the oil is not “pure” is from the oil being diluted with a carrier oil of some sort. So, you might think that if there is no grease spot then the oil is “pure”. What you need to keep in mind is that the oil can be diluted with other things that might not leave the grease spot.
      Lastly, some base oils like Vetiver are heavier on a molecular level and will take much longer to absorb than a volatile oil like Lemon or Lime.
      Now let’s say that you perform the blot test and there are no grease spots left behind. Does this mean that, with absolute certainty, the oil you are buying is pure? Not necessarily. Although this test can work you need to consider one more thing. The BEST way to to test essential oils is the Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry analysis of essential oils, also know as the GC/MS testing of essential oils. When looking to purchase 100% pure essential oils make sure that the company you are buying from does this testing!

    You claim one of the key things is customer service yet I see some reviews on your website people complaining about the grapeseed oil 16oz bottle cap that’s always oozes out & you have not responded to their queries. I want to make a purchase but now I’m skeptical as mine would be intentional shipping, anything could go wrong! Need reachable customer care.

    What is the difference between your organic oils and non-organic oils? And are the non-organic oils safe to diffuse and/or use topically? In addition, can adults you the kid safe oils?

    • @Planttherapy
      @Planttherapy  5 лет назад +6

      Hi there! We do our best to purchase oils from organically grown plants where no pesticides are used. Since we source from the countries the oils are indigenous to, In many cases the smaller farms/distillers simply cannot afford the cost of becoming USDA Certified Organic, especially those outside the US. However if you want a guarantee that they are organic, we recommend you purchase from our organic line of oils. We do test both the organic line and the non organic line of oils. These tests will show if the oil is adulterated in any way, and if it is, it is not ever sold. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. The scent and benefits of the organic vs. non organic oils will vary, since they come from two different locations. Even if they come from the same country, other environmental factors can alter the scent and natural chemical makeup slightly.
      Non-organic oils are safe to diffuse and apply topically! However, when applying any kind of essential oil to the skin, we always recommend diluting properly first!
      KidSafe essential oils are just as effective for adults as they are for children. Oils that are not KidSafe are made up of natural chemical constituents that are not safe for children, where the KidSafe oils are oils made up of natural chemical constituents that are safe for children!😊
