애초에 다른 뮤지션들은 선뜻 아침이슬을 선택하지 못했다하네요. 이 곡의 무게를 감당하기 힘들었을 듯. 게다가 왠만큼 잘해선 칭찬 받기 힘들걸 알았겠지요. 이 곡의 배경(?)에 대해 많이 알지 못했던 에일리는 그저 곡의 아름다움에 끌려 이걸 선택했다고 하지요. 에일리 주변에선 무대에 오를때까지 한국에서 이 노래가 어떤 의미인지 일부러 자세히 알려주지 않았다합니다. 가수가 곡의 무게에 짓눌리지 않게 하기 위한 배려였다고 생각합니다. 결과는 정말 훌륭했구요. 김민기도 양희은도 정말 자유로운 영혼의 뮤지션입니다. 에일리의 표현과 해석에 만족하셨을것 같아요.
특이하네 양희은이 노래듣고 칭찬했던것같은데 아마 내 기억이 맞다면 이 노래가 홍경민을 이기고 402인가 407표받았었던거로기억함 그리고 마지막에 울랄라세션이 2표차이로 이겨서 최종우승했고 판정단중에도 어르신들많았는데 좋게 들어주신듯 나도 정말좋았음 어설프게 했으면 정말 아닌데 오히려 뭔가 전쟁에 나갈듯한 그 어떤 비장함이 느껴짐
This is second national anthem for Korean. Especially for the age 50s to 60s. It was symbol song for against military dictatorship that time. Ailee cried after this performance. I still strongly believe someone explained the meaning of this song.

Its almost midnight but still cant get enough of ailee : ) so amazed and thrilled every time she sings.. hope time comes that I can speak to her in person and appreciate her being her as an artist and as a person . For now, im happy I get to express my joy seeing her perform everytime through this post. . . Not really. I think she sort of ruined it. I mean yes, she's got an amazing voice - but her tone just doesn't "fit" - all the vibrations just don't fit here.
I do not know of any singer who can use her musical talent as well as Ailee. This is a great example. On of my all-time favorites. A good song could hardly be more simple than this, but Ailee manages to change it into a musical masterpiece.
+Rmir2 Eh. She can sing, but honestly my problem with this cover is that it stopped being 아침이슬- this song is not just merely a song. It is a song that carries a distinct meaning in South Korean democratization movement. Thousands of protesters, through threats of arrest and torture, sang this while we as a people yearned for democracy, to the end of the despicable dictatorship that plagued our land for 26 years. Think "We Shall Overcome," mix that with "Bridge over Troubled Water" but more dire situation than protesting the Vietnam War. This is what the song means in South Korea.

Being from Europe it is clearly hard for me to understand the historical-cultural circumstances, you refer to, but developing a growing interest in South-Korean popular music and history I will surely keep this in mind. To me this performance simply is one of the best musical performances that I have heard. I can easily understand the power this song gives everyone, who performes it. BUT I must add that this one voice in my opinion gives full justice to the song. And - I have added this to my all-time favorites.
+Aiat milagros I think that Ailee has such an amazing voice that she could overcome the orchestra very well. PS: I love this song and this performance so much that I wrote an article about Ailee and about the song on Danish wikipedia. This should be a cultural world heritage.

원곡하는 다른 느낌이 있다는 건 이해할 수 있다 하지만 그렇다고 해서, 그렇게 비판받을만한 노래인가? 본인들이 그렇게 평가절하하는 이유들때문에, 양희은 가수님도 비판했는가? 동영상에서 보여지는 양희은 가수님 표정이 그렇게 보이는가? 가장 중요한 것은 노래를 대하는 진심, 태도라고 믿는다 이 노래에서 에일리는 그것을 보여줬다고 느꼈다 혼신을 다해서 노래를 부르면서 그것을 보여줬다고 생각한다 힘들게 살아왔던 시대에서, 그때 들었던 노래하고 다르게 느끼는 건 이해가 가는 부분이 있지만, 그렇다고 그렇게 부정적으로 얘기하는 건 아니라고 본다

사람마다 가치관이 다르기때문에 에일리 노래가 어떻게 들릴지는 사람마다 다르다고 생각해요 하지만 저는 10대로서 에일리의 아침이슬이 양희은가수님 아침이슬보다 더 듣기 편하네요 옛날의 아침이슬을 현대식으로 바꾼것같은데 이렇게 비난받을 필요는 없어보여요
비난이 아니라 비판이고, 솔직히 말해서 민중의 감성을 제대로 살려낸건 아님. 노래는 잘함 - 그냥 평범한 가요였으면 이 버전이 더 나을수도. 하지만 그 민주주의를 위해 싸우면서 부르던 감성은 절대로 아니고, 그정도 비판은 받을만 하다고 생각

선곡이 좀....양희은의 노래가 오래도록 또 대표곡이 된 것은 목소리가 청아하고 힘과 역사가 절절히 배인 깊은 맛이 있어 그러는데 넘 깔려버렸다.....이 목소리라면 아침이슬은 그 자리서 스러졌을게야.
