I have been debating the authenticity of Hadith with my fellow Muslim friends for a long time now. I have been asking who was it who gave authority to Bukhari to compile Hadith and decide what is sahih or weak and not one of them have ever been able to answer me. Dr Hany Atchan, Thank you very much for another amazing video. First of all I understand that many people will not get or grasp the concepts and understanding of the interpretations of Al-Quran that you present in all your videos. Why? Well the truth is that most people unfortunately are followers and not leaders or questioners. Indoctrination and Subconscious programming since young is very strong especially in many or even most Muslim households. For someone like my self watching your videos is a breath of fresh air. This Existential crisis that you talk about has had zero impact on me because as a lover of Truth and having researched for many years about Al -Quran, Islam ?(not the brand Islam, although I know that very well) and many other topics of world current affairs, it comes as no surprise. Many things never ever made sense until you and and only you have been able to point out in all your videos. It's a real shame that even most if not all of the Quran only scholars and websites follow the same misleading interpretations, translations that have hugely been influences by man made books. IMHO here is no doubt whatsoever that Abu Lahab is Pharaoh. Father of Flame. It's so amazing seeing how much work you have put in to this to deliver the True message of Al-Quran. It sure does bring a tear to ones eyes and seeing the passion that comes from you is also heart rendering. I want to let you know myself and people like me get it 100%! There is no ambiguity or doubt. May The Most High make you complete all your tasks and work and give you more beautiful insights because we are all benefiting hugely you can not put any price on it. A true beacon of light you are. Please ignore your detractors, Leave them to Allah. I'l be answering them in my own good time. I see what is going on with all the hate, slanders, insults and sarcasm been thrown at you from many channels. Have you noticed it's only really from those who really follow other than Al -Quran, ie Bukhari and co. so no surprise there whatsoever. So please do ignore them. They did the same thing with Al fil or the Elephant chapter and invented a story that leaves more questions than gives answers when it is about the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. The Quran is a set of statement about reality or in other words it is reality linguistically encoded; therefore, its interpretation depends entirely on the knowledge about reality and the knowledge about the language used that the interpreter has. This channel presents high-quality content that is worth considering, and I personally found many interesting breakthroughs.

ALHAMDULILLAH!! The spectrum of emotion I feel while watching these videos. The evidences are so stunning it makes me tear up! The corruption of earlier people makes me burn inside with anger! But the consistency of the Qur'anic Methodology gives me immense confidence and hope! I feel blessed for being born in this time when the truth is just starting to be exposed and I regret saying anything along the lines of "I wish I was dead" in the past whenever anything bad happened to me. ALHAMDULILLAH for keeping me alive! I testify as a witness to this truth and I want to support any how with the best of my abilities!
Love it. The issue of scholars continuing to brush controversial subjects under the rug warrants a whole lecture series. These issues have been discussed for the last 1400 years but between scholars (which was fine). The plebs were given basic guidance and got on with their uncomplicated lives. They had heard of sahih Bukhari et all but never had access to them. Then with the advent of cheaper books (and later internet) and with petro-dollars, people who have been untrained in Islamic sciences have purchased scholarly works such as sahih Bukhari, read a few Hadith and started going hay wire. Now that the genie is out of the bottle, any ‘scholar’ who is still clinging to the old paradigm is basically just clinging on to his power and privilege. They need to understand the gig is up and they need to be honest with fellow Muslims and try to remap Islamic academia that is fit for the 21st century. This isn’t the eight century anymore. Islam is universal and for all time. Therefore it needs to move with the times.

AlHamduliLlah, 6 years ago i started having suspicion about the Quran Tafseers old and new ones, AlHamduliLlah Allah SWT freed me since from the darkness to light. I am called Qur aniun, Sunaa rejecter and other thing, that is ok. But my biggest challenge was educating my children who are adults to day my new tafseer of the Quran (Tafseer of the Quran from the Quran), I was teaching them the Quran with the Human tafseer for long time, my children respect me with my new understanding of the Quran, I am only worry for them to start having doubts about Islam. I ask Allah to help me with this task and it is working AlHamduliLlah. Brother don't ever stop your blessed dawah and to support the Quran with what Allah SWT made available for you, you and hand full others Jazakum Allah Kheyran, May Allah protect you all.

I cried as I listen to this sermon. May Allah reward you with khair and more ilm. I shook inside my belly as I thought about my son who Allah has blessed with intellectual capacity and he would question the going narrations and challenge me on these things because he would not accept the going stories. Yes this is causing existential issues but in a really good way. It cements what I have always suspected. And thank you for being our voice.
This also affirms the point made in a past video that firaun may have cut off Musa's hand. And then Allah SWT caused Musa's hand to regrow to scare Firaun by showing him this miracle.
Alhamdulillah, this Is a great find. I've have heard this surah being recited many times during salah (before). I knew very little about it but I heard some people said it is about the prophet's uncle. I never understood why. But this interpretation Dr. Hany is very clear.
Dear Dr Hany. Thank you for this eye-opening presentation. The evidences are logical and tie-up nicely one to the other using the methodology that you espouse. Nothing wrong with the methodology that I can think of, and I had to go back to your earliest videos, and also those you made before these ones (“Marvellous Quran”), to prove to myself, you and I are on the right path. I studied all your videos up to presently, the Ishmael video, when you made this Abu Lahab video. I hit my crisis point when I realised how thoroughly brainwashed I had been. Being science-based educated, I have a predilection against information which smells of opinions without evidence, but never against the teachings of the religion. That is, until I applied the logic of my education I realised 1. The hadiths can be questioned 2. The ulamaks can be illogical and perpetuate illogicality 3. How the British successfully brainwashed colonised people. 4. I rejected Sunni and Mazhab during this pandemic. When Muslims can jump from one mazhab to another, for convenience. It just shows, the mazhabs are illusory, man-made, supposedly from the Quran, but are really human opinions and not worth holding on to. 5. First time I wrote to you was close after I gave up on the Sunni sect, and decided to go back to the basics and to follow the Quran. It was the Malcolm X video, which, for me, is a click-bait. I admire the man. 6. It was good that Malcom X is a click-bait for me, because it enabled me to discover your channel. Saves my mind from the illogic of some tafseers. I have developed a phobia against illogical brainwashing. Your methodology is a godsend (as the Christians would say). Spending time, studying this methodology with all the examples you gave has been enlightening and useful. Alhamdulillah. You have dropped so many clues about Musa and Firaun, I would hazard the following: 1. Qaron is Abu Lahab is Firaun. 2. Musa’s mother is the “wife” of Firaun and the “good woman” mentioned in the Quran. 3. Musa could be Firaun’s son, though I don’t have the training yet to confirm this information from the Quran.

My feelings are unexplainable when i got to know about who really was Abou lahab. It really scares, when realize that traditional interpretation of even one of a small surah ain't done with any methodology, critical thinking or even simple logics , instead following blind opinions ! What fears more is , Then what about rest of Quran ? :( The truth is most of them really don't even know the real nature of the Quran.

How one can not understand what you have shared with us doesn’t sit well with them as per arrogance of the old. Abu Lahab has always confused me as why would Allah (swt ) The Rahman not give chances and choices for one to make in this heavenly world and to cut off blood relation an uncle off our Beloved (saws) would have certainly would not have wished this sever punishment to him (uncle) or any one else even if s/he is an unbeliever. The Holy Quraan is filled with words like Munafiqeen, Mushrik, Kafir, etc. Allah SWT is not name calling his creation but describing them, their attributes. Sometimes excessive "reasoning", and examining what is amply plain under a microscope becomes it's own undoing. I'm a Nigerian and definitely not an Arabic speaker. But as a Muslim and someone who loves the Qur'an as well as the endless knowledge it embodies, it's particularly overwhelming and scary for me to realize (or so to say) that there's a hidden code language of interpretation, namely, Abrahamic locution and has eluded great scholars and Muslim saints for over 1400 years. But who dare claims to possess an all-encompassing understanding of the Qur'an! Yet, I'm observing Dr. Hany's approach or methodology while waiting for brilliant scholars of the Qur'an to take him on intellectually and prove him wrong. "They have hiding these meanings for 1400 years..." Dr. Hany often say about traditional Mufassiroon and ulama, and I'm not really comfortable with that. However, I still haven't seen any scholar countering his approach to Qur'an exegesis and proving his method futile. That was the point I intended to make. Just to be clear. I'm not assuming that what I saw in this video is 100% the truth. I see it as a new way to approach the Quran. Throughout my journey with Islam I have been to many dawah centers where I met a lot of Shekhs and seekers of knowledge. I even tried doing dawah myself whenever I got the chance. Many things come to mind when I remember that experience. But what stands out the most is how underwhelming it was... it was sad... I remember one time I asked one of the shekhs if we can discuss the Quran and ponder together about it. His answer was that "its not for us" and "leave it for the scholars" which broke my heart. This is just one of many other sad stories that I experienced which all share a similar pattern. Allahu Alam in the end. May allah protect us from fitnah. And unite us upon the truth. my brothers and sisters.
Sir, your logic and process has steadily become clearer to me. The presentation on Sura 111 was amazing and eye-opening. Hope you can enter into dialogue with others (specifically other Quran analysts who are also defying the orthodox interpretation). Also, hoping that this material comes out in book form and allows others to critique it and peer review it. Of course there will be many ad hominem attacks, but some will provide valuable input. May Allah guide you and us all to the truth.
Yeah we need experts critiquing his presentation because laymen cannot judge information presented with limited grammatical and classical interpretation.
I am just an uneducated layman so please excuse my ignorance, but I believe I've been viewing Islam with open eyes. I remember when I first read and heard explanations for Abu Lahab and it truly puzzled me, the explanations from men did not appear to match what I've seen out of the Quran. Your explanation has boosted my faith as it appears to be much more suitable to fit within the Quran. The only time I've ever been disappointed in reading the Quran is when I see poor explanations from fallible humans. On another note, I married into a Muslim family (proclaimed to be Sunni) and i keep noticing how many practices appear to be cultural and I cannot find any evidence in the Quran. And, I'm very sad to say I find hadith difficult to trust despite wanting with all my heart to trust it. To me it seems the only thing I can trust to be the word of God with absolute certainty is the words direct from the Quran. How can I regain trust in the hadith when God did not promise to preserve its accuracy?

I'm not an Arabic speaker, even then I used to feel certain translations were not defining the verses of the Quran correctly. These misinterpretations have led to other communities questioning Islam, and unfortunately people from our community who preach the wrong interpretations and practices for their personal gain are helping them; it's the sad truth that our community is facing. I feel that now I am part of the good Muslim community after I came here. Dr. Hani even I had personal experiences from the Muslim community in my country not favouring people who don't dress in a particular way, trying to know more of truth or things they don't like. I believe like Dr. Hani said, free will with good attitude and morality define Muslims and Islam, May Allah continue to guide us as he blessed us to know the truth, Thank You Dr. Hani and all behind it.
I cried a number of times knowing how eloquent Quran is and how beautifully it explains itself to the people like me who were not at all satisfied with the Tafseers that we had read to date and who have prayed to Allah to help us in understanding the true message in Quran. Please accept my sincere gratitude Dr. Hany! May Rab keep blessing you. Actually, before knowing the inner coherent meaning, I have always been uncomfortable of reading this sura during salat as it seemed to me that I am cursing someone. How can I curse a person (even very bad) during a holy ritual like Salat! Now I understand that our Rab is so great in his real way. Now it makes complete sense that this sura is declaring the fate of one jalem person who created his own fate through extremely torturing innocent people. More beautiful and amazing part is the last part in which a noble lady who has been praised for her great effort to save Prophet Musa A. How amazing is the fact that this sura is named after the great effort of that blessed lady! Trust me, this sura looks very beautiful to me now, for the first time. Thank you very much.
الحمدلله Just finished watching. Couldn’t help holding back the tears during the last couple of minutes. Felt a tidal of emotions flow through me even as I’m writing this… sad?… angry?… mostly sad. Sad that we were all grossly taught the wrong message from the Quran. Angry because our Al Quran ul-Kareem has been used to deceive us. Angry that the so-called institutional scholars, sheikhs and ustaz who we look up to, with their university degrees and madrasa education, had let us down. As the mix of sadness and anger began to ebb, I felt a sense joy returning, the same joy that I felt for the first time moons ago, after discovering Marvelous Quran, maybe even more now. Feeling happy and can barely wait to begin engaging the Quran using its built-in methodology, as Allah intended it. My wish is to be as good and fast a student as I possibly can in my twilight years now, looking forward to teach it to my loved ones. I pray that Allah ﷻ ease all our efforts, as student of Quranic methodology.

Salaamun Alaykum, The past tenses used in the ayat 111:1- 2 already an irrefutable evidence strong enough that Abou Lahab was a person of the past, not a person of the present and alive during the revelation of these 2 ayats. Alhamdulillah alone.

Some 20 years ago a man I met in the UK who was so angry with the traditional interpretation of this Sura which lead him to leave practicing his Salah. After today, I'm going to seek him out to introduce him to this channel for guidance from Allah SWT. It has taken me a couple months to begin comprehending and digesting your content. I take it in little by little. Im an islamic studies student and al hamdulillah everything you teach is amazing, shocking, but Also spreads like soft butter on warm toast lol. Its all consistent and leaves no doubt. Now all im trying to figure out is how to organize the information you give, or to create some sort of archive of your notes to be searchable and be used for refernce. I might create a wordpress for myself iA with this info. In the mean time, my mushaf will be flagged with tons of post it notes hhaha. Also, i think its worth sharing that my mom plans on spreading ur teachings in urdu in pakistan. Further, i love that you include a summary bc its not east to just review the entire video again, having a summary rreally helps. Another thing i absolutely love about your channel and you as a teacher is your prompt responses and replies and openness to answering our questions. I have a few questions piling up bc i want to go further than just understanding the quran. I want bring it into practice. Im a part time teacher to 13 yr olds and teach tafsir. Honestly, idk how i can teach anything anymore except for the general islamic philospphy and identity. Ill definitely use ur material to develop their identities iA. I watched this video first when it came out 10 months ago. At the time, it was like an answer to my duaa. I am a revert, alhamdulilah, and was then struggling to memorize Surah al-Masad. In my heart, I could not understand why such a seemingly petty story, as it was conveyed in tafsir and translation, should be included in the Quran. Staghfiroullah. Truly the “paradox of abu lahab” is enough to shake the faith. My children even questioned it. 10 months later, this video is still so important to me. May Allahh continue to guide us all.

I have been debating the authenticity of Hadith with my fellow Muslim friends for a long time now. I have been asking who was it who gave authority to Bukhari to compile Hadith and decide what is sahih or weak and not one of them have ever been able to answer me. Dr Hany Atchan, Thank you very much for another amazing video. First of all I understand that many people will not get or grasp the concepts and understanding of the interpretations of Al-Quran that you present in all your videos. Why? Well the truth is that most people unfortunately are followers and not leaders or questioners. Indoctrination and Subconscious programming since young is very strong especially in many or even most Muslim households.
For someone like my self watching your videos is a breath of fresh air. This Existential crisis that you talk about has had zero impact on me because as a lover of Truth and having researched for many years about Al -Quran, Islam ?(not the brand Islam, although I know that very well) and many other topics of world current affairs, it comes as no surprise. Many things never ever made sense until you and and only you have been able to point out in all your videos. It's a real shame that even most if not all of the Quran only scholars and websites follow the same misleading interpretations, translations that have hugely been influences by man made books.
IMHO here is no doubt whatsoever that Abu Lahab is Pharaoh. Father of Flame. It's so amazing seeing how much work you have put in to this to deliver the True message of Al-Quran. It sure does bring a tear to ones eyes and seeing the passion that comes from you is also heart rendering. I want to let you know myself and people like me get it 100%! There is no ambiguity or doubt. May The Most High make you complete all your tasks and work and give you more beautiful insights because we are all benefiting hugely you can not put any price on it. A true beacon of light you are. Please ignore your detractors, Leave them to Allah. I'l be answering them in my own good time. I see what is going on with all the hate, slanders, insults and sarcasm been thrown at you from many channels. They did the same thing with Al fil or the Elephant chapter and invented a story that leaves more questions than gives answers when it is about the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. The Quran is a set of statement about reality or in other words it is reality linguistically encoded; therefore, its interpretation depends entirely on the knowledge about reality and the knowledge about the language used that the interpreter has. This channel presents high-quality content that is worth considering, and I personally found many interesting breakthroughs.

The issue of scholars continuing to brush controversial subjects under the rug warrants a whole lecture series. These issues have been discussed for the last 1400 years but between scholars (which was fine). The plebs were given basic guidance and got on with their uncomplicated lives. They had heard of sahih Bukhari et all but never had access to them. Then with the advent of cheaper books (and later internet) and with petro-dollars, people who have been untrained in Islamic sciences have purchased scholarly works such as sahih Bukhari, read a few Hadith and started going hay wire.
Now that the genie is out of the bottle, any ‘scholar’ who is still clinging to the old paradigm is basically just clinging on to his power and privilege. They need to understand the gig is up and they need to be honest with fellow Muslims and try to remap Islamic academia that is fit for the 21st century. This isn’t the eight century anymore.
Islam is universal and for all time. Therefore it needs to move with the times.

AlHamduliLlah, 6 years ago i started having suspicion about the Quran Tafseers old and new ones, AlHamduliLlah Allah SWT freed me since from the darkness to light. I am called Qur aniun, Sunaa rejecter and other thing, that is ok. But my biggest challenge was educating my children who are adults to day my new tafseer of the Quran (Tafseer of the Quran from the Quran), I was teaching them the Quran with the Human tafseer for long time, my children respect me with my new understanding of the Quran, I am only worry for them to start having doubts about Islam. I ask Allah to help me with this task and it is working AlHamduliLlah. Brother don't ever stop your blessed dawah and to support the Quran with what Allah SWT made available for you, you and hand full others Jazakum Allah Kheyran, May Allah protect you all.

I shook inside my belly as I thought about my son who Allah has blessed with intellectual capacity and he would question the going narrations and challenge me on these things because he would not accept the going stories. Yes this is causing existential issues but in a really good way. It cements what I have always suspected. And thank you for being our voice.

I studied all your videos up to presently, the Ishmael video, when you made this Abu Lahab video.
I hit my crisis point when I realised how thoroughly brainwashed I had been. Being science-based educated, I have a predilection against information which smells of opinions without evidence, but never against the teachings of the religion. That is, until I applied the logic of my education I realised
1. The hadiths can be questioned
2. The ulamaks can be illogical and perpetuate illogicality
3. How the British successfully brainwashed colonised people.
4. I rejected Sunni and Mazhab during this pandemic. When Muslims can jump from one mazhab to another, for convenience. It just shows, the mazhabs are illusory, man-made, supposedly from the Quran, but are really human opinions and not worth holding on to.
5. First time I wrote to you was close after I gave up on the Sunni sect, and decided to go back to the basics and to follow the Quran. It was the Malcolm X video, which, for me, is a click-bait. I admire the man.
6. It was good that Malcom X is a click-bait for me, because it enabled me to discover your channel. Saves my mind from the illogic of some tafseers. I have developed a phobia against illogical brainwashing. Your methodology is a godsend (as the Christians would say). Spending time, studying this methodology with all the examples you gave has been enlightening and useful.

1. Qaron is Abu Lahab is Firaun.
2. Musa’s mother is the “wife” of Firaun and the “good woman” mentioned in the Quran.
3. Musa could be Firaun’s son, though I don’t have the training yet to confirm this information from the Quran.

I'm a Nigerian and definitely not an Arabic speaker. But as a Muslim and someone who loves the Qur'an as well as the endless knowledge it embodies, it's particularly overwhelming and scary for me to realize (or so to say) that there's a hidden code language of interpretation, namely, Abrahamic locution and has eluded great scholars and Muslim saints for over 1400 years. But who dare claims to possess an all-encompassing understanding of the Qur'an! Yet, I'm observing Dr. Hany's approach or methodology while waiting for brilliant scholars of the Qur'an to take him on intellectually and prove him wrong. "They have hiding these meanings for 1400 years..." Dr. Hany often say about traditional Mufassiroon and ulama, and I'm not really comfortable with that. However, I still haven't seen any scholar countering his approach to Qur'an exegesis and proving his method futile. That was the point I intended to make.

Just to be clear. I'm not assuming that what I saw in this video is 100% the truth. I see it as a new way to approach the Quran. Throughout my journey with Islam I have been to many dawah centers where I met a lot of Shekhs and seekers of knowledge. I even tried doing dawah myself whenever I got the chance. Many things come to mind when I remember that experience. But what stands out the most is how underwhelming it was... it was sad... I remember one time I asked one of the shekhs if we can discuss the Quran and ponder together about it. His answer was that "its not for us" and "leave it for the scholars" which broke my heart. This is just one of many other sad stories that I experienced which all share a similar pattern. Allahu Alam in the end. May allah protect us from fitnah. And unite us upon the truth. my brothers and sisters.
Sir, your logic and process has steadily become clearer to me. The presentation on Sura 111 was amazing and eye-opening. Hope you can enter into dialogue with others (specifically other Quran analysts who are also defying the orthodox interpretation). Also, hoping that this material comes out in book form and allows others to critique it and peer review it. Of course there will be many ad hominem attacks, but some will provide valuable input. I am just an uneducated layman so please excuse my ignorance, but I believe I've been viewing Islam with open eyes. I remember when I first read and heard explanations for Abu Lahab and it truly puzzled me, the explanations from men did not appear to match what I've seen out of the Quran. Your explanation has boosted my faith as it appears to be much more suitable to fit within the Quran. The only time I've ever been disappointed in reading the Quran is when I see poor explanations from fallible humans.
On another note, I married into a Muslim family (proclaimed to be Sunni) and i keep noticing how many practices appear to be cultural and I cannot find any evidence in the Quran. And, I'm very sad to say I find hadith difficult to trust despite wanting with all my heart to trust it. To me it seems the only thing I can trust to be the word of God with absolute certainty is the words direct from the Quran. How can I regain trust in the hadith when God did not promise to preserve its accuracy?

I'm not an Arabic speaker, even then I used to feel certain translations were not defining the verses of the Quran correctly. These misinterpretations have led to other communities questioning Islam, and unfortunately people from our community who preach the wrong interpretations and practices for their personal gain are helping them; it's the sad truth that our community is facing. I feel that now I am part of the good Muslim community after I came here. Dr. Hani even I had personal experiences from the Muslim community in my country not favouring people who don't dress in a particular way, trying to know more of truth or things they don't like. I believe like Dr. Hani said, free will with good attitude and morality define Muslims and Islam, May Allah continue to guide us as he blessed us to know the truth, Thank You Dr. Hani and all behind it.

Please accept my sincere gratitude Dr. Hany! May Rab keep blessing you. Actually, before knowing the inner coherent meaning, I have always been uncomfortable of reading this sura during salat as it seemed to me that I am cursing someone. How can I curse a person (even very bad) during a holy ritual like Salat! Now I understand that our Rab is so great in his real way. Now it makes complete sense that this sura is declaring the fate of one jalem person who created his own fate through extremely torturing innocent people. More beautiful and amazing part is the last part in which a noble lady who has been praised for her great effort to save Prophet Musa A. How amazing is the fact that this sura is named after the great effort of that blessed lady! Trust me, this sura looks very beautiful to me now, for the first time. Thank you very much.

Just finished watching. Couldn’t help holding back the tears during the last couple of minutes. Felt a tidal of emotions flow through me even as I’m writing this… sad?… angry?… mostly sad. Sad that we were all grossly taught the wrong message from the Quran. Angry because our Al Quran ul-Kareem has been used to deceive us. Angry that the so-called institutional scholars, sheikhs and ustaz who we look up to, with their university degrees and madrasa education, had let us down.
As the mix of sadness and anger began to ebb, I felt a sense joy returning, the same joy that I felt for the first time moons ago, after discovering Marvelous Quran, maybe even more now. Feeling happy and can barely wait to begin engaging the Quran using its built-in methodology, as Allah intended it. My wish is to be as good and fast a student as I possibly can in my twilight years now, looking forward to teach it to my loved ones.
I pray that Allah ﷻ ease all our efforts, as student of Quranic methodology.

The past tenses used in the ayat 111:1- 2 already an irrefutable evidence strong enough that Abou Lahab was a person of the past, not a person of the present and alive during the revelation of these 2 ayats.

Some 20 years ago a man I met in the UK who was so angry with the traditional interpretation of this Sura which lead him to leave practicing his Salah.

It has taken me a couple months to begin comprehending and digesting your content. I take it in little by little. Im an islamic studies student and al hamdulillah everything you teach is amazing, shocking, but Also spreads like soft butter on warm toast lol. Its all consistent and leaves no doubt. Now all im trying to figure out is how to organize the information you give, or to create some sort of archive of your notes to be searchable and be used for refernce. I might create a wordpress for myself iA with this info. In the mean time, my mushaf will be flagged with tons of post it notes hhaha. Also, i think its worth sharing that my mom plans on spreading ur teachings in urdu in pakistan. Further, i love that you include a summary bc its not east to just review the entire video again, having a summary rreally helps. Another thing i absolutely love about your channel and you as a teacher is your prompt responses and replies and openness to answering our questions. I have a few questions piling up bc i want to go further than just understanding the quran. I want bring it into practice. Im a part time teacher to 13 yr olds and teach tafsir. Honestly, idk how i can teach anything anymore except for the general islamic philospphy and identity. Ill definitely use ur material to develop their identities iA. Maybe you can also train educators on how to teach your material ( i teach in a non-academic manner) perhaps i should just email you on this matter. Salamun alykoum Brother Hany and others in this community. I watched this video first when it came out 10 months ago. At the time, it was like an answer to my duaa. I am a revert, alhamdulilah, and was then struggling to memorize Surah al-Masad. In my heart, I could not understand why such a seemingly petty story, as it was conveyed in tafsir and translation, should be included in the Quran. Staghfiroullah. Truly the “paradox of abu lahab” is enough to shake the faith. My children even questioned it.
10 months later, this video is still so important to me. May Allahh continue to guide us all.
