Great insights! The owner of my lab suggested your account and wow so much to learn! I'm having some issues with the CC wanting to "read" while watching on the loud lab floor. Have you considered having any industry tech edit the automatic captioning? 🙂

Thank you and say thank you to the owner of your lab. I usually have a script text that I could upload.

@@masterdentaltechnician1914 one main reason why most dentists in the USA like to use the screwable crown on top of a custom abutment is the fact that many implant failures are attributed to the cement left around the implants. I actually started this over 10 years ago using Preppbable stock abutments and fabricating a crown and manually drilling the access hole.

Great video, is there a way to do a cemented crown over a stock abutment (a pre milled abutment). I took an impression with my scanbody and i want the lab to do a cemented crown by choosing a premilled abutment from the library. The problem is that this library for this abutment is only available after choosing the option of screw retained on exocad. So the final crown will end up with a hole. Is there a way tonfix this issue? Thx for your time

Good question. Your Lab had to treat I like an analog case. That means create the model from your IOS scan, assemble it with the analog and the pre-milled abutment and scan that in the desktop scanner. Then design a regular crown you can cement chair side. Usually the pre-milled abutment have a low margin line so you need to be careful when you cement it to avoid peri-implantis.

Thx for answering. Yes good idea. But the thing that I don't understand is why we can choose a digital abutment for cemented crowns from the library and only be able to do screw retained crown. Thanks for your time. Cheers
