Edit: I played this for my dad, and as soon as it hit the G note he KNEW, like he said, "Oh god..." I corrupted him with my music taste a while back, haha. After we both laughed at the video (in a good way), I left the room. A minute later I hear my dad in his room singing, "WHEN I WAS, A YOUNG BOY-" and I screamed to him, "ARE YOU SINGING IT NOW?" He said he was and we both laughed over it more; then he said, "I SHOULDN'T EVEN KNOW IT." That is the man who gave birth to me 🤣🤘🏻

As a teen, who is most definitely an alternative (emo assumed) personnel, I didn’t even have to start the video to know what was going to be played. My mom, is a retired Emo who was around when that song was born, so it was biologically in my blood to be born an emo. 😌🖤

My two youngest daughters went through the emo-era - I took them to so many shows - they've seen My Chem around 20 times now - Warped Tour - opening for Green Day during American Idiot tour etc. They are now adults - and just came back from seeing MCR in New Jersey - then back home to Florida - where they saw them in Miami - Elise - you are your generation's emo artist!
