Ski School Advanced, Intermediate and Beginners, the critically acclaimed skiing apps for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, are now even better! We've redesigned them from the ground up for the new ski season. On top of 30-45 minutes of video ski tuition per app, you can now film your friends (or get them to film you) and analyse their ski technique by comparing them with included demo videos or other video you have recorded. Play back in slow motion, draw on screen to illustrate angles and share comparisons on social media.
Split-screen video analysis on your phone is now a reality!
Added to this there is a new diary facility, milestones and more.
Each app features:
- 30-45 minutes of high quality video ski lessons
- Cue Cards (handy ski technique reminders)
- Filming capability (device permitting)
- Split-screen video analysis (iPhone 3Gs and up, older devices can still compare photos)
- New demos with audio tips
- Notes
- Ski History
- Milestones
Note: Our Ski School apps will help you learn to ski, they are a supplement, not a replacement to a professional on-slope instructor. Спорт
I'm pleased to say I hope we are virtually there with the development, maybe in the next 10 days or so we will let you know. Thanks for your help I appreciate it.
I've got the beginner and intermediate app, but will be going on trips solo starting on Saturday, so the analysis feature won't be used, just the video lessons as a supplement to real lessons.
The best thing is it's with you all the time when you are skiing this is a very useful app,I hope it helps when you get to the snow thanks for the comment.
Well done for the app!! really working, been telling all my friends!
@KaaFOFO Thanks for the comment, we'll get onto the Android build as soon as we can. Cheers.
We are trying to make this happen but I don't think people realise how expensive it is! we will get there, thanks.
Thanks very much have a great trip.
Thank you very much glad you like the idea, we are currently developing it for android I was hoping it would be ready by now but it should be any day.
@donperm Thanks. We've tried to build a complete Ski School learning solution, so everything had to go in: video lessons, split screen comparison, analysis, social media sharing, a history section, notes and more. Have you got a birthday coming up?
Looking forward to trying this! Thank you! :)
Hi Frederik Kubiczek Good news: our Ski School Apps are available on Android and can be bought from the Google Play store: play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Elate+Media
Cheers
@SkisAnSeas We would love to get onto Android and it's in the plan. We're very busy at Ski School HQ at the moment; new Expert App in the making, updates, and Windows WP7 version coming out shortly. Android to follow.
Android is on its way. We are in the final stages of development and testing. We hope to have the Android app out to you all in the next week. Thanks for the comments and support.
@ApriliaCityMelbourme - As stated below the app is intended to augment not replace coaching. In my case the app enabled me to analyse my own skiing and practice the right things in the dome. When on the mountain I still get traditional instruction but feel the work I've put in with these tutorials has made me progress at a much faster rate. This app helps to promote coaching and they'll never be a substitute for a critical eye giving you personal feedback.
This is a great idea. I can get my friends to take video but not critique. I agree with you, the app is a tool. Thanks for the idea.
Looks absolutely incredible!!! Love the lesson videos as well Darren. YOU HAVE TO BRING IT OUT ON ANDROID!!! I know a lot of people, including me, who would pay stupid money to have this on their Android phone for the upcoming season! Keep up the good work, its great stuff.
im getting this looks fantastic
I would love an android version to but it's not cheap to produce, bear with us we will get there Glad you enjoyed the films.
@nowaybackforme That's good news! If you have any feedback or feature requests once you've got the app do drop us an email or message us through RUclips, Facebook or Twitter.
Not sure what you mean?
Make that app available 4 Android devices - plz!?
Holy crap, that looks terrific. As soon as I got iTunes credit, i'm gonna buy this
Are you looking at bringing this app to Android/Is it already available for Android phones? It's a very impressive app from what you've demonstrated!
I'm sorry but I'm really not sure, we are a long way behind schedule for many reasons. All I can promise is it will arrive.
Can you please tell me when the experts ski school App will be uploaded?
We would love to do an android version but at the moment it's not a cheap option, we will keep you posted.
Would love an Android version!!! Keep up the good work :)
If you know any developers that would give a good quote I would be happy to speak to them.
You could try asking on xda-developers - someone there may be able to help. If you can get an android version I'd happily buy it.
nice app. Do you have for android already?
brilliant.....would be good for an android version sooon :D
What song is that? Sounds like PWEI but they have been long gone so it can't be them. :(
Brilliant!
Thanks James. Glad you like our Ski School Apps. Cheers
Android is on its way and will go live very soon.
Wow!
I feel you're completely missing the point of the apps, the idea is not to replace an instructor its to give people good strong advice and the ability to understand more about their own skiing. The chances are if somebody can understand more about their skiing and find it interesting they are more likely to invest in some coaching.
Yes an android version would be great
I don't have an iPhone, I don't have any of the accessoires, I don't live near any mountain, I have not sufficient money yet, BUT.....I want to ski.
Have to agree with all the others we need the Android app
Android plz!!
