Now that Lou Reed has passed, true fans will unearth some unpredictable lost gems, instead of just rehashed (but always funny) clips of his 1974 press conference batte in Australia. This clip is one of those new-found gems, and you obviously valued the material enough to save it for all these years. A wise choice. So, props.
The bit about playing the same chords is absolutely true. Covered Waiting For the Man and played Lou's part. My fingers were tired by the 3nd of that session lol.
Lou was easily one of the most intelligent rockstars, of all time. I must admit that intelligence is sexy to me. It was what first attracted me to my boyfriend, initially. We have been together for over just two years, now. We are definitely soulmates. Thanks Uncle Lou, I guess?🤣

This is probably one of the best Lou Reed interviews ever. He seems remarkably relaxed (for Lou), and his dry sense of humor comes through.
Beautiful. He really is one of the best rhythm guitarists ever. Not always about how much you know but how you play it.
Great version bravo Lou and Fernando!
Thanks Leonardo, it was also great touring with you on drums with Lou :)

I love this interviewer.

Thanks for sharing, amazing interview from Lou.
Yes, agreed - thank you for uploading!
AMAZIN'!
This guy is awfully demanding, but Lou is unusually patient.
True
The interviewer brings up the best in him!
This explains how Sterling Morrison was the lead guitarist of The Velvet Underground, he was brilliant.
Lou was a very good rhythm guitarist, though. Probably the best example would be "What Goes On" which is my favorite VU song, of all time.
@@christy7698 lou played great lead too, especially in the velvets days. totally unique sound and attack.
damn it! jason newsted put out new album and everyone kept saying how much he looks like Lou. They were right
Thanks for a great insight into Lou!
Hi, thanks for uploading this ~ are there other parts to it?
I think i posted 2 parts of this. YT may have removed one for copyright stuff. Not sure.

Cursed be the day when Lou decided to pull the Bm chord from Sweet Jane. It went from nuanced songwriting to average rock n roll.
Lou is not a guitarist at all....not at all
