- The FIFA Confederations Cup is held every four years in the country about to host the World Cup one year later.
The 8 teams who qualify for the tournament are the African, North American, South American, Asian, European and Oceanic champions, the world champion and the host.
In 2009 the tournament was held in South Africa. 42 goals were scored in this tournament.
