I put the tailgate back on right after the video. I build to have fun and not to sit on a shelf. I don't run my originals like that. It was fun though.

She runs great on 3s! I know I should like a broken record but I love the way that truck looks! Great addition to the channel! Can't wait to see it GPSed!
I'll get that analyzer installed on the next run and will let you know. I'm pretty sure it's under 20 mph but we'll see. I will upgrade but only when parts breaks or wears out.
@@nwirc I have no idea but I was thinking more! My Big Brute went like just under 14 mph stock (with a NiCd according the magazine article). With a 15t brushed motor and 2s it went a bit over 19 mph.

have an original in a bin in the back of the garage.Gonna need to dust it off and upgrade the electonics and battery though.2wheel drive, I believe and shoot it hasn't run in 40 odd yrs

Love it!! Mine is an original so I don’t beat on it hard but Blackfoot’s are a ton of fun. I’d love to build a rere. Still want a monster beetle as well
The Monster Beetle is next on my list. I don't blame for not taking out the original one. That's what the rere are for imo.

Thank you. I just used what came in the kit. No mods at all.
Do you have to modify anything to run it with a 3s? Is it a Deans or Tamiya connector? What Radio and esc are you using? Stock motor, right?
Everything is stock and using Fly Sky radio and receiver. I'll have to double check on the esc but I'm very sure it's the Hobby Wing 1080. I'm also running the Dean's connector.
Is anything more fun than a Blackfoot?
Well as you seen in the video these things can take a beating. I absolutely love it.. I would never do this to a vintage model but have no problem doing it to a re-release.
