- Princess Masalanabo Modjadji, who was widely expected to be the Balobedu Nation's next Rain Queen when she turned 18, wasn't prepared.
That's according to the Modjadji Royal Council who says it's because she was taken from the family at just five-months-old.
eNCA's senior reporter Aviwe Mtila filed this report. #eNCA #Dstv403
Conflict might be caused by politicizing traditional leadership
Paying them is the cause of it all. If we didn't pay them most live to go find work because they don't perform any service to their people, we only hear of them when there's something to fight over.
Why take away her birth right mara?
I think it's because she was taken away and wasn't groomed by the family.
Problem here might be that the people who claimed her paternity might have other agendas since she was with them.
There is no birthright in out culture, or any African culture for that matter. A new leader has to be chosen early, before the age of five that purpose, Family and Nation rituals performed, if you're not there you'll may be left our, No entitlement to it.
Stop absorbing European nonsense into our sound African cultures. And that's not how to write birthright.
We will pray for you princess masalanabo
So commoners wanted to groom the future leader of Balobedu? The ancestors of Balobedu refused to be captured! 👍👍👍
Weird isn't it?
The Royal family must not allow politicians to dictate to them who to lead. The prince is the first born. Why must he be overlooked because of gender? Is this not the line of argument where Royals say their throne is to be occupied by men only? People had forgotten that THERE ARE THRONES THAT HAVE HISTORY OF BEING LED BY WOMEN.
@@musandasikhwivhilu so tradition should change because people are ready to cash out...
@@shauntiey which tradition are you referring to?
@@musandasikhwivhilu seems you don't even know know you talking about yourself.
Noooo the Queens will reign!!!!
And there goes patriarchy again🙄
He is older so please shut up with your entitlement
Thier culture is a matriarchal society, she is indeed young and hopefully she becomes the queen one day
Just give her some preparation and she'll be queen by 2024.
The quality of news we're provided with in SA has really gone down. This story is not newsworthy. Same with the Zulu one. They put it on screen with incomplete facts and let people speculatein the comments. I thought journalists were supposed to investigate their stories instead of waiting for press conferences where they're fed incomplete information before they reproduce it on our screens. Shame.
Man y'all love including zulus in everything
Where is this tribe now? Must be very insignificant
What? Are you deaf, blind or what? You need to read more because these idiots will never give you news worth anything to know enough about anyone.
I am the Sun King, I make sure that the sun comes out in the morning and sets in the evening.
