I have ALS. No speech or swallowing. Down 20 lbs. to 98 pounds. I have been through 5 hospital systems with no diagnosis. Now being treated by Johns Hopkins who found it.
I'm so sorry for you my brother is 56 and was diagnosed last yeaand progressive ALS I wish they would please help all that are suffering from this horrible disease
My uncle was recently diagnosed. He is a doctor (opthalmologist). I don't know enough about treatment (mitigation?)....; It's getting rough. (Thank you for sharing that, it helps to know that we are not alone.) B
Twiching can also ocure due to radiculopathy (suspresed nerve) as well as stress, bfs, some medicines can cause it ..list its wide...usualy takes time to recover....vit d,b12,b6,calcium and magnesium will be most important for muscle and nervs functioning...wish you healing to all🥰
I have twitching in my legs that comes and goes, feels like my left foot is smaller than my right foot in my shoes. I also have this feeling of weakness in my right arm and tightness in my right hand. This come and goes, gets worse when I'm very tired. Nearly every morning upon waking I feel this internal shakiness. This all started after I awoke one night to insane pins and needles buzzing through my arms. Now I'm scared of ALS.
@@warlordqueekheadtaker7960 Yes, I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia. You'll have to Google it if you're interested. The pins and needles running through my arms was because my body is attacking my B-12 stores. Blessed it wasn't ALS. I'm so sorry for anyone going through ALS. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I believe that no condition is permanent ,, I was suffering from ALS for Many Year I couldn't walk , I used alot of medication but non of it could cure me u til I got a review of Dr Okosodo Sunday Herbal Home has the cure so I contacted him and ordered his herbal medicine after I finished the medication for 14days I felt a great relief and I started to Walk again thank you so much Doc ruclips.net/channel/UC7Qx8cMXo_vf2rwcTrt_CFwv
is twitching also a sign of als? or is it skeptical to say it is? im curious! im having twitches all over me for about a week now.. but no sign of muscle weakness and other signs.
Twitching is very uncommonly the only symptom. If you twitch and have no weakness it is very unlikely that you would have ALS. Whole body twitching is also points away from ALS; like the weakness, it would be refined to one area and gradually spread. If you twitch all over your body and it comes and goes it points away from ALS. Twitching can be caused by lots of things but commonly anxiety, which is fed by peoples fear that they have ALS, in a cycle of psychological symptoms and convincing yourself you have ALS, you can develop sever anxiety. Hope this helps for anyone with similar symptoms.
I've constant cramping in my stomach, legs and feet and hands I can't even write at times, wake up all hour of the night in pain,it's very painful, does that mean I have ALS
one thing common is als with autism is the speech difficulties and i wonder if a kind of test is part of diagnoses which is how blood circulates through veins becuase as if any vein is stuck between two bones after bone is broken for any reason because breathing and digestive systems seems working on everybody which are the two indications on a human for life and they can hear and see too in most cases.
That's a lie my brother never had speech problems when he was diagnosed he was functioning just fine, crashed his plane and hit his head had a concussion, few years later diagnosed with ALS
It’s not a lie. Speech problems don’t develop immediately, they come gradually as the disease progresses and begins affecting your tongue and throat muscles.

Please see a neurologist. Do not self diagnose on the internet. Allow the professionals to make that diagnosis. Hope you are well.
