I will go on record now and say Bol Bol will have a long and productive carreer. Genetics.. his father played 17 years basically injury free because of their line of giants. He isn't as big as his father however he is much much better than his dad skill wise.
Yeah I rather see this man go to ATL rather than the Wizards or MIN. ATL has a good thing going and I can see them bringning Bol bol along slowly. You add in a upcoming PG in Trae young and that's a recipe for sucess
After watching Bol a few games in college, I was convinced he is special. He is not just another tall skinny player. His offensive skill set is superior to most of his peers, and his wingspan allows him to get away with things I haven't seen other players do. It will probably come down to heart, and who knows about that. But I've got the feeling he will get A LOT better in his first few years in the NBA.
Bol seems very coachable. I watched him play in highschool and i had no idea he was even going to be that effective in college or that he had guard skills. This is a gamble i would take!
Could you make a video on Darius Garland? I feel like he’s getting lost as people keep calling this a “3 man draft”, but I feel like his skills are way more translatable than Barrett’s. He’s in the mold of a lot of the score first PGS in the league rn and I just see so much more upside in him than a Culver or Hunter. I know the tape is limited but I’d be interested in your thoughts
@@shoot210 yea but they have a pretty set rotation w/ 1 big on the court either horford or baynes who are both defense + rebounding the opposite to BOL
I like the Porzingas compariason (and the Mo Bamba one, but l hadn't considered Kristaps and that fits so well). I was also thinking; Joel Embiid, Thon Maker, Chris Bosh, Inspector Gadget, and Hasheem Thabeet I disagree with the Boban comparison, although the same height, Boban is 100lbs heavier and a physical pressence in the paint. Bol was never that from what l saw with his stint at Oregan, players liked attacking. This is also why l don't really like the Gobert comparison either, bc although they share much of the same measurements, Gobert has more heart, at least defensively. And l feel like you touched on that. Awesome video! Love your content
I believe the Hawks would be a good option for him. They seem to be comitted to player development, there isnt a ton of expectations for him, so he could be brought along slowly, plus they have two lottery picks. Their biggest need is a defensive wing, once again, lowering the expectations for him. I cannot say what the fan base wants, but with 2 top 10 picks, it seems like you could tske a chance on him as a opposed to taking someone like, say, Jaxon Hayes, who is an athletic, bouncy shot blocking 5 but is very limited offensively. Also, those navicular fractures scare the bejimminies out of me. He is a conundrum but that is my best guess. I guess it all depends on who falls in love with him.
Leavon Fletcher they already have a power foward for the future in John Collins and I don’t think bol bol is strong often to play center. It would be best for a team to play him at power forward like what the Knick did with kristaps porzings
@@Mossylemur Excellent point. Also, they have plenty of offensive players. They need a rim protector at the 5. I was just trying to think of a good landing spot for him.
@@leavonfletcher4197 Thats why I think they pick up Hayes with the 10th pick. His defense is exactly what that team needs at the 5. Plus Trae could always use another lob target
Sam Fisher the thing is even though Bol Bol is very mobile for his size he’s still not mobile enough to keep with players like draymond to play at power forward and even kristaps is probably at his best at center.
@@Mossylemur Trae Young and Kevin Huerter were great, and were given the opportunity to grow. John Collins, Alex Len, Dewayne Dedmon, etc all had career years. And we've turned guys like DeAndre Bembry into competent NBA players. Keep sleeping
Great video. Atlanta Hawks are the right fit. The head coach is known for his player development, especially of big men. He can develop at his own pace while still getting consistent playing time.
Nuggets fan here, back again to see how this vid of Bol Bol matured. Would love your Then/Now reaction to his G League highlights, fit w/DEN, projection in a potential lineup of Murray/Harris/MPJ/Bol/Jokic.

Been Waiting For This Video For Lord Knows How Long ! Bol Bol Is My Favorite Player In This Draft & Has The Potential To Be A Taller KD 💯 You Heard It Here First
@@thedimedrop8153 With His Ball Handling Potential & Overall Skillset , You Have To Consider It. Look At Where The League Is Going. More & More Big Guys Are Implementing Handles Into Their Game To Go Along With Outside Shooting & Playmaking. If Bol Adds More Strength & Start Playing Anything Close To A KD , The League Will Be In Serious Trouble !
If bol goes up to 255-265 and gains some shaq type muscle combined with his sleight of hand and great ball skills he could easily become a franchise big man
Nice video. So how do you feel about him going to the Nuggets? I do like the pairing but He won't have a choice in Denver. Improve or pick splinters out his butt all season. Lol
Please do one for matisse thybulle. I think my sixers should pick him up but people have him mocked going before the 24th and some people have him going in the second round. please do one on him and cam johnson, grant williams, ty jerome, and tyler herro although idt herro will be there at 24 but anything can happen on draft night
Bol could be special. It's so rare to see a guy that big with guard skill set and fluid mobility at that age. My two concerns with him... 1) Health. Obviously. Stress fractures in the feet of big men are serious injuries. 2) Work ethic. Sometimes I watch him and I question how badly he wants to be good. Sometimes he just doesn't show an effort on defense... doesn't hustle back, doesn't contest, doesn't help, doesn't box out. He also needs to work on certain basketball fundamentals. Things like improving his shot selection and being a better screener. But man... If he stays healthy and shows that he does have a strong work ethic... look out.
I first watched this video about a month to this day, and god I was waiting for Bol to go before the third commercial break and it was just agonizing to watch him sit there...time to prove 'em wrong I guess
More draft videos man! Would love to see you do one on Sekou Doumbouya. I’m not sure what to think of him since he hasn’t been productive internationally, but he’s gathering comparisons to Pascal Siakam.
I believe bol have such huge upside that if k don’t haves top 3 pick I would take him cause of how hard it is to find people over 7 foot that has that much athleticism and offensive talent at this young of age. I would not take him over someone like Zion but maybe over rj Barrett or cam reddish
Excellent analysis of an intriguing player. What it basically comes down to is, does he have a deep desire to be the best? To get every ounce of ability out if himself? Or will pop ish so that he gets paid, float around the league a few years and be out? Front office people really need deep due diligence on this one. He can either become better than KP or worse than his father. We'll see.
Honestly would not take Bol Bol in the Top 10. The payoff is not enough to offset the probability that Bol Bol will just be a straight up bust/low-minute out of the rotation type of player.
He is really coordinated and can put the ball on the floor for being 7'2 and that long. He going to struggle with his weight like his dad but I have no doubt he will be an effective player in the league on both ends. LAKERS cmon now
Maybe I'm way off, but I think in the right system, Bol Bol could play more on the perimeter on offence, and then anchor a zone down low on defense. I'd say his ideal landing spot in range of where I've seen him in mock drafts is Miami, or slipping all the way to San Antonio at 19.
