Use a tapestry needle to then take it to the other side of the yarn and back down to the back. This will tack it in. Then weave the tail in. I like to follow the line of the color I used to stitch it back on itself in the back and go back and forth to get a good finish. If you wait to trim the end you can wash and then trim. That way it doesn’t work back through in the first wash.
