If you leave the tails long enough you can back trace the letters weaving the tails in the backside. They just look reverse. However you could add a felt back to those letters only to match the white or even add a full backside of perhaps a flannel in all white.

On the last loop you want to make you can cut a long tail from your working yarn in the back and then pull though all the way. Use a tapestry needle to then take it to the other side of the yarn and back down to the back. This will tack it in. Then weave the tail in. I like to follow the line of the color I used to stitch it back on itself in the back and go back and forth to get a good finish. If you wait to trim the end you can wash and then trim. That way it doesn’t work back through in the first wash.
