I didn't know that the 'Sturt's Desert Pea' flower was to be found in that region. I've seen a lot of them way down in the Flinder's Rangers of South Australia.

G'day Triton. It was a male camel. They're pretty big in that country - middle of Karlimilyi National Park in the Western Desert of WA. He probably died after losing a fight with another bull camel.

The road from Hedland to the airport used to have a beautiful crop of Sturt Desert Peas that grew on the flats there (early 1990s). Awesome display.
