From experience, the gen 4 is super clean, and has a wonderful sustain for a beginner pan. The gen 3 has a sustain that is ridiculous, it's absolutely on par with the sustain of stainless steel except it's nitrided steel. The gen 7 D amara I own is absolutely my favorite pan. And having received a second gen 7 I can speak for their lovely tonal quality. The timbre and sustain of the gen 7 makes it my favorite. Although I love playing my gen 3 e minor with my gen 7 amara. Just my 2 cents ❤

@@NovaPansHandpans thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately gen 7 is too costly even with the sale for me. Especially for recreational playing at home or park. Gen 4 is the best for me plus you guys say it’s the best for beginners. The difficult part is choosing the right scale. D Amara is too high pitched for me and I don’t really care to play d hijaz. D Kurd d Pygmy and d sabye are nice sounding
@@NovaPansHandpans does gen 7 sound the same as gen 4? So if I hear d Pygmy on gen 7 it’ll sound the same on gen 4, correct?
@@duderilreez Hello Duderileez, actually not. The Gen 7s have a much more sustained and meditative tone for that reason than the Gen 4s, mostly because the Gen 7s are made of stainless steel while the Gen 4s are made of nitrided (like the Gen 3s).

We love the original oriental handpan sounds of hte Gen 1s which used to be our number one best seller. Now it's the Gen 4s! Probably due to price!

Is it likely that this handpan need to be returned after a certain amount of time?

Great question! Yes, you can return the handpan within 1 month after you received it. On rare cases, handpans are returned because some of its note are out of tune. Yes, our Generation 7s are made of stainless steel :) Others are made of nitrided steel and may only rust if left exposed to the elements.
