After watching your video, I decided to give OnlyOffice a try on my Steam Deck. I do not have a uni MS Office subscription, but it's good to learn about a good open source alternative. Cheers.
@@AdrianReddix Oops 😬😅 I wanted to suggest you make vid on Microsoft Office vs WPS Office vs Libre Office vs "𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲" Please don't include Open Office and include 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 🙏🙏
I began to do well when I used Microsoft Office 2019 Professional. Last year, PC World Magazine advertised Microsoft Office 2021 Professional. So, I "jumped" on my own bandwagon and purchased Office 2021 Professional. There are more advantages and fewer disadvantages of using Office 2021. Thank you for presenting the facts of work. As a staunch typist, Microsoft Office complements my keyboarding skill by making the use of the programs simpler than before. One reason that I would not want to replace my hardware is that my Dell contains more than 700 printer fonts that I would hate to leave behind to a newer computer for the sake of switching to Microsoft Windows 11. Since 2002, Microsoft Office [Professional] is my favorite business productivity suite.
Microsoft is a powerful suite. It's the standard for a reason. As far as fonts, copying fonts to a new computer shouldn't be an issue if you wanted to upgrade. Personally, I am waiting a little longer to make windows 11 my daily driver. Thanks for the comment.
@@AdrianReddix You are welcome, Doctor. My first computer was Cybernet. The company is known for making all-in-one computers. I learned about Cybernet from PC Magazine. The computer contains all of the computer's "organs" inside the keyboard. The keys themselves made the top part a console. The monitor is the only separate part from the computer. My first and favorite operating system was Microsoft XP Professional. It complemented Microsoft Office XP Professional, including Microsoft Publisher 2002. I learned more about using a microcomputer by myself, even better than I could possibly learn in a job. In 2017, my Cybernet had a "stroke," meaning a dead motherboard, and the computer model was discontinued several years ago. That is what led me to buy a Dell. I call my computer my "keyboard," because it is my powerful typewriter. I am blessed that I learned typewriting on an old typewriter when I was 12 years-old. Also, I have a Canon color laser printer and a Brother P-touch printer that prints laminated label tapes. These factors enabled me to start a typewriting service right in the privacy of my home. I hope to revive my typewriting service, since many people have gone to the way of the smartphone. I relish computer technology and do take advantage of it. I would unlikely look backward to the times of the typewriter. I appreciate and enjoy watching your channel. Thank you for typing to me. Happy Keyboarding!
I didn't know about the phone capabilities of only office. That would be helpful to be able to work on a document from anywhere. Also the libre office comp video auto played and I noticed the drastic improvement in lighting versus that older video. It looks good!
Thanks for the review. But as for "crazy conversions"? For real interoperability ... such as with MAC users of M$Office ... use pdf! EVERYone uses pdfs. No problem. By the way, I am a user of LibreOffice, transitioned from M$Office 2 years ago, and have not looked back. I work with others using Windows Office versions, and Mac office versions. Never an issue.
Thanks for the tip. I also am a LibreOffice user exclusively at home. I don't ever see myself going back to MS Office nonprofessionally. I appreciate the information.

What about Word Perfect? I've heard you are around some people that still use Word Perfect. Is Word Perfect DEAD?
Word Perfect has been dead for at least 10 years. The people I know who use it are of the opinion of if it isn't broke don't fix it.
@@AdrianReddix I think I quit Word Perfect around 1995! It's been dead to me 26 years!

Oh man my office only knows Microsoft office. If you have tips on how to make your self constantly appear available in Microsoft teams, let me know 😂
I always make sure I'm unavailable on teams. I'm in stealth mode at work.
