Just curious, did you ever post anything about the best settings for the Xantrex, Go Power or Lithionics apps. Love the videos, thanks for the info, ( FBS 2108 FLX)

Thanks so much for this video, very helpful. We’re picking up our flx in two weeks and we’re really excited. Can you tell me which apps I’ll need so I can install them ahead of time?

Cell phone battery works 2 years if you charge 0 to 100% every day. Actually it can run 5-8 years if limit 20-80%. There is no charge voltage settings in the phone as phone companies want you to buy new phone every 2 years. Luckily it is possible to set parameters for RV battery. Recommended charging to 100% has no real advantage as last 5% is actually overcharging and decrease battery life and capacity. For LiFePo4 batteries go to 14.0 setting instead of 14.5 and 13.8 (or even 13.6) for float charging instead of 14.0. My 3 LiFePo4 batteries (5 years old) still pretty good working with such settings.

Add 800 watts in parallel. I crank down the refridge at night to use less power. And yes, a 12v AC unit will be a great benefit for your system.

Howdy! I thought you could only add 200w of solar to the charge 30a controller, how are you able to add 800w? Would that need a separate charge controller? Also, have you added a 2nd battery to the flx system? I heard possible

Just got our Winnebago - really excited. Our dealership really has NO idea about the solar aspect !! They think they do lol. Did you guys get a Truma remote to run the AC? Just curious- because in the manual it refers to the remote very often - and we don’t have a remote. We’re flying blind - don’t know how Pat got the AC to work off the panel - he just started pushing buttons and it’s in the 90’s again in Florida 😮

Do you have an option for propane fridge? 12v compressor jobs cool quickly, but they can pull 100 amp hours or more per day in hot weather.

AC with 2K Gen you should look into MICRO-AIR, SOFT STARTERS. i'm using it with my RV (+ Honda generator) and my home AC

Do you have a DC-DC charger to charge the coach battery while driving?

Thanks for your videos! We are in the process of purchasing 2022 2108 FBS. Can you provide a link with those stats for managing the solar settings? We’re not new to RV’ng but new to solar and not sure when we take delivery if the dealership will be able to assist because it’s being delivered to us.

The only solar feedback I’ve received was “yes” to setting it to Lithium battery… and I took it upon myself to adjust the battery capacity setting to 320AH.

@@donnaandpatmac1321 the battery is going to be set to who knows. The 4 I looked at on the dealer lot recently were all different. Make sure when you connect your phone to the apps just verify the solar is set at least to Lithium and 320 amp hour battery. You will only use 1 of the 2 banks. You’ll see what I’m talking about either in this vid or when you actually see it in person.

not sure if you're signed up with the forums on "winnieowners dot com" but there's a few other FLX owners there that have a lot of good info. And check out the other videos here, they've explained quite a bit. :)

Would adding more solar panels allow you to run AC more seamlessly? Or is more battery the target?

    • @speedbumpmedia9584
      @speedbumpmedia9584  Год назад

At $4500 for another battery, that is not the plan. I will probably add one additional panel up top but that’s about it due to space restrictions.

Will the solar system charge the battery if the inverter is off? Say you leave for 5 hours and turn off the inverter to save power from the draw of the inverter. Does it still charge or does the inverter have to be on?

    • @speedbumpmedia9584

Solar always feeds the battery unless you turn the battery off or flip the disconnect switch.

    • @speedbumpmedia9584

No. 7 pin only feeds lights and brakes. Solar does it all charging wise.

With smart alternators and lithium batteries a person would likely need to run a DC to DC charger to get much out of tow vehicle alternator.
