Oat & Chip Cookies Recipe
by Faith and Flour
1/2 cup Butter, softened
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Sugar
1 large Egg
1/2 tsp Almond Extract
1 cup Rolled Oats (or GF Oats)
1 cup Flour (or GF Flour Blend)
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugars. Add egg and almond extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
In a separate bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking soda and salt. Stir until well combined.
Add to the butter mixture. Mix until just combined & stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop the batter by rounded tablespoons onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 15 minutes or until cookies are light golden brown. Enjoy!

I a, saving your cookie recipe- I have never tried oat and choc chip. My family has only recently discovered shredded chicken in the instant pot so I will be prepping some of these wraps to pop into the freezer

I looked in your amazon store for the white baskets, but I found different ones. Could you please tell me where you got the ones that you used in this video? I also found the cut edge for wax paper, etc cutting in your amazon store (silver one).

A couple friend of ours, the husband just lost his mother and I want to take them food. I just watched your video and I am going to use some of your food and flower ideas that you took your friend with COVID. My hubby just recovered from COVID and said it was the sickest he's ever been. Try cutting down the flour a bit and instead adding some crushed corn flakes to your chocolate chip cookie recipe for a bit of crunch. I also grind my oats after measuring. Gives them a very nice flavor!

Hi Robin - Great video. So much good inspiration. What a great idea for putting the flowers in for your friend. I am going to try to remember that. I am always having to take a meal somewhere. I lost another friend with Covid. That’s 4 I have lost to this disease. It seems lots of friends my age have underlying conditions like I do which makes Covid hard on them. I am still being very cautious and am signed up for the vaccine but still waiting. My daughter Rebecca has gotten so good at the sourdough. Her family absolutely loved your biscuits. She has also been watching the Home Edit. All three of us have been doing a massive clean out and declutter of our homes. For my birthday, I told them I wanted the “Gift of Work”. It was wonderful. They told me to make a list and they knocked it out. Such a blessing. They spent the day and we had a great Mexican food lunch that they picked up. So Fun. Thanks for the great job you do on your videos. You have a ministry and I thank God for you. Love in Christ.

It’s always a lovely thought to take a bouquet of flowers when people are not well and in Denmark (where I was born) it is also common to give some flowers to the hostess when you are invited for a meal. It was so kind of you to cook for your friends and I am sure they appreciated it. I would love to try out your recipes, especially the coleslaw- i have a food processor and it never occurred to me to use it for that 🤦♀️ so thanks for the hint. I love making cookies to bring to families in need. If they are able to put cookies in the oven, I make dough balls, freeze them on a cookie sheet and bag them up frozen so they can have the smell of fresh baked cookies in their home. Love your videos!

I tried to order the Ball wide mouth plastic storage caps from your online store but sadly they don't ship to Australia. They are almost impossible to get here in Australia. Hi Robin. Have you tried the Mission gluten free flour tortillas? They are our favorite. They are soft and have a great taste!
I have seen those Maureen. Unfortunately they contain soy, which is the other thing our son has to avoid. 🤦♀️😊💛
I find that the plastic lids don’t work as well as the metal ones. I often find that moths can lay eggs inside the rim of the plastic ones, so I unless I am making my way quickly through what is in the jar, I use a métal lid. I do like the plastic lids for ease of use over the metal ones though ;). They twist on and off nicely.
Wow! I haven’t had that problem, but I will be on the lookout. The plastic lids are so much easier to use, but I don’t want moths! 😩😊💛

What a lovely idea, it's one meal the family won't have to worry about and looks delicious. I hope you and your family are all staying well too in these trying times. I hope you don't mind me asking, but could you let me know what make the scoop is that you use for portioning out your cookies on the baking tray - I've been looking at them on Amazon and even the KitchenAid one didn't get great reviews. I've bought before and they broke within a couple of uses. Very frustrating. Thanks for any advice you have. Rhona

Hi Robin!!!It is so true!!The kitchen is also the "headquarters" in my house as well!!!I spend most of the day cooking different food for the kids,different food for me that I am on a diet,and of course different food for my husband who doesn't like kids' food or diet food!!!!I mostly prepare everything from the previous night because I work so I just heat them up in the oven.Sometimes my mum cooks kids' food a couple of times a week just to help me out,God bless her!!!Have a great week!!💙🇬🇷💙

Great motivation for my food storage bag/wrap drawers, which is the black sheep 🐑 of my otherwise organized kitchen. Will look for those longer storage baskets, which look like they fit those items well. Thank you Robin!

What a wonderful friend - I am sure your friend was very happy and thankful for the care package. A few years ago I bought acrylic storage bins for my baggies/zipper bags and ditched all the boxes. I just open the end of the box and remove all the bags and separate into sizes as you did. Best idea ever . . . no longer trying to get a bag out and shaking the box off and having to use two hands. You will love your drawer! I binge watched The Home Edit and loved those girls! Lots of take away and fun seeing the stars homes/pantries/closets that they organized. Thanks for all the inspiration.
