- After a beautiful mountain road ride to the Trading Post, we grabbed a bite to eat at the Nugget Cafe and hit the trails on a search for single track.
We arrived at the trailhead and started off up the mountain battling rocks, roots, and everything that Colorado could throw at us.
This was by far my favorite trail from our Colorado trip, it was a nice challenge but didn't completely break you.
Stay tuned for more!

Loved to see your enthusiasm for the area and scenery. For those of us who live here in Colorado it's too easy to take it for granted. Nice looking ride, super fun!
That was something I thought of often, it just wouldn't feel the same if I lived there. Thanks for watching!
That looked friggin exhausting. Don't sell yourself short, your great on those rough trails. I had forearm pump and 3 flat tires just watching!
Thank you Shane! It was a workout for sure but I loved every second of it.

This is why I want a dirt bike so I can see all this amazing stuff and ride with my friends!
I was just on that trail 2 weeks before you, so much fun. I hit that exact root and slid out right where you did as well and said "I hate roots". great time in CO. Great video!
That's crazy!! Roots are my arch-nemesis .. Thank you!
Caught me to...
This looks like so much fun. Thank you for this channel. I didn't know life could be this good. This is motivation.
Yeah! There ya go buddy, now that is what Colorado single track is all about, man! I love that kind of riding, can't wait until the end of September so I can go back up there!
I am already itching to get back!
It makes me smile when a flatland indian like you go to the hills, I mean the real hills, and got exited. :-) :-) :-)
And never, NEVER forget ... there are countries on this planet, where such activities, specially in a National Park, are absolutly unthinkable and stricly forbidden.
So enjoy your self. That's the stuff from where the unforgettable memories come from.
You don't have to go to another country, just come to PA. There's so much land that could be ridden on but all you see is "POSTED:NO TRESPASSING" signs all over the place. This state is so backwards with their stupid laws.
The hills feel like home to me! Blessed to have had this experience. Thanks for the comment!
Good content.
Colorado is tough riding but you’re really on the frontier of where humanity has taken hold and it shows. Beautiful place and its worth giving up everything to get to.
Wow, this really opened my eyes to this part of CO. Yep, sign me up! Great video.
Awesome! Thank you!
Looks awesome man! I grew up in Colorado and I miss those trails! I live in Utah now so I get a mix of the high alpine and the desert which can be fun. You’re next trip our west has to be southern Utah to ride the red rock!
Also, that bike sounds incredible with the lectern. Honestly that’s my dream set up hopefully one day I can afford something like that!
I will let you know when I make it out there!! Thanks for the support👊🏻
What a great video. And I agree with you on the logs, mud, rocks roots cross creeks, top speed 25. That's it, tomorrow going to the mountains of Tennessee.
Thank you Robin! Slow, steady, and technical, where the real skill develops!
It's a good thing you spent all that time putting them upgrades on to help keep the bike from braking. Can you imagine having to push it out of there
Absolutely! I am more than happy with the investments.
God I would just die to be able to spend a day riding up there in that beautiful country
I'm digging the 2 stroke
I grew up in CB in the Gunnison valley and me and my buddy’s loved going dirt biking and snowmobiling at Taylor. If you come back you gotta go out brush creek it has the best trails around.
Stumbled across one of your older videos the other day. Didn't realize Wayne was basically your riding home in Ohio. Ours too! Maybe we'll run into you one day down there. Glad I came across your videos, love it. Colorado looks beautiful!
Welcome aboard! Thanks for the support Nick.
Video looks great! Lovin' it.
Thanks so much!
Man, fun video. I'm lucky enough to live about 3hrs from Taylor Park and I've ridden all over that area. I never get bored riding out there. Timberline trail, the trail up from Dinner Station, they are all killer.
best trail of the trip
You were killing it on those rocky climbs! I was in Vail Colorado and noticed the same thing ,everyone was in shape.
Thank you! I have been to Vail several times snowboarding, that place is amazing..
Great video thanks. Been ridding that area for nearly 40 years, was there just last summer. Looks like maybe you hit Timber Line or Star? 2 of my favorite trails beside those over on the Cement Creek side.
One request, when you see mining relics out there, especially when with a crowd of non-dirt bikers there, we resist the urge to ride through them. Mining is our heritage here in Colorado, we're fighting hard enough to keep these trails open, don't need to give ammunition to the enviro 'close it down' lunatics. Now you know why they call them the 'Rocky Mountains'. Nice ride.
Little tip when you get stuck in those smaller ruts and smaller rocks pop your clutch and pull it back in with a little acceleration in between and you can pull yourself over easier
Love colorado trail riding🖒🖒
You and me both!
Bro this video motivates me to buy an enduro love it bro
Star trail was always good along with lily pond. You definitely have to have some skills hitting some of the tougher trails there. Good job. 👊🏻
Thank you!!
I've done star trail both ways and the side closest to Italian creek is tough for sure. Dead man's gulch is a killer drop and watch out for that big slab on doctors Park. It's covered in slime and will take you out. Been riding up on crusted butte and Taylor park sides. Most amazing riding I've done. But you better bring your bag of skill and determination.
Dam hella rocky! Great video man
Wonder what it looks like covered in snow ❄
Even more beautiful!
Trail 414. A Colorado classic
Good to know!
Great channel
Thank you!
I have ridden the Taylor Park area about five times using Tin Cup and Hancock passes for my entry and exit to the park. Nice to have a fuel stop and the ladies at the Nugget cafe. I'm not a big fan of the park over all, however there are days one can ride to Aspen or
Or Creste Butte and beyond. I rode a 1996 Honda XR400R never lost a clutch, plug, tire or parts missing. Set up as street legal machine. It didn't have the start button, however it was not an issue to restart. I did notice you were having a bit of a time remaining on the trail, practice practice and more practice. Enjoyed your video
Thank you for your comments!! Blessed to have experienced this and I look forward to coming back.
That looks awesome
It was!
As a coloradoian my self, this is my most beautiful place and most fun Planck to live like I do. I recommend coming here it’s very awesome people!!!!
It sure is, can't wait to get back out there!
@4:06, had a guy in our group riding an ancient XR650L who laid the bike over and my GoPro caught his last remaining mirror exploding into a couple hundred pieces. Timberline is a beast.
That's crazy!! RIP ol' Honda.
What kind of mic are you using? Sounds great
looks amazing. but pretty technical. definitely can't be scared of heights hahaha.
Very technical! There were a few oh sh** moments but we all made it out in one piece for the most part.
I love being Colorado native
Lol that looked easy as F, i just took my 7 year old for his first time ever ridding up rougher stuff then that on a bike that was too big for him. Looks fun though, would love to ride those trails.
What type of equipment do you use to record? I've always wanted to make a video like this on my 250
Man y’all gotta stand up while riding, my ass hurts just watching haha! Taylor park is some of my favorite riding I’ve ever done
Literally just rode Taylor Park for 6 days. Loved it
Hey man, I go to school in Gunnison and ride at harman rocks all the time. Next time you come around, I’d love to show you the hard trails and camping at harmans. Definitely the move if you’re on a budget
Sam Druck Let’s do it!!
Attention Deficit check out some of my videos for trails around there. Easily 3-5 hours of riding on trails without much crossing over
Are you still in Gunnison? I was planning a trip out that way this summer
Awesome! Just awesome! I would travel there just for this trail!!! Talking with a riding buddy this weekend, they were there same time or close to when you were! Taylor Park, did the Flag Mtn. Etc. Small world! You may have seen them! Beta 300 like your buddies, old GasGas, KTM 500, WR450
Thanks! And that is awesome, I saw all of those bikes so I'm assuming it was them.. That's crazy!
Just sold my WR yesterday 😢. I’ll ride along with these videos until the replacement shows up! Might be time for some 2smoke in my life🤷🏻♂️
We always camped on Italian creek or at a cabin at the trading post!
Nice!!
sick! do you happen to know the names of the trails?
This video gives me even more motivation to move west and buy an enduro bike
You should go to hatfield mccoys trails in west virginia and go to rock house trailhead fun rinding there and bunch more to ride as well there too! Colorado is so damned beautiful and awsome riding terain as well! Also hear about some good single track in Idaho. Wish I could be there riding with ya! And deff sounds like you had a blast
I would love to! Idaho is definitely on the list.
What are you doing for fuel on these long trips? Are you carrying oil and mixing it in the bike's tank?
For your first trip here you did great on that technical stuff. I took a hard spill Wednesday on the Captain Jack trail. Front wheel hit a rock and kicked left sending me to the ground. The Fox body armor did the job, but my shoulder is sore! Happened in a split second.
Thank you!! Body armor is a must..
Did i hear you say "Wayne" at the end? As in Ohio? How often do you trip out west?
Two buddies and myself rode this trail a couple years ago. It’s awesome but I was a little glad when it was over :-)
That’s a freaking tough looking trail. I ride a 690 bc I like the wide open long haul rides. But this looks like fun. I’ve done a little bit of hard single track like this on the 690 and it’s doable but definitely a workout. That’s a great area too, been there once on a long multi day ride. Great area.
Live in CO, been single track riding at Taylor park probably 5 or 6 times now, never knew there was a trail behind that cabin 😂
I love living in Colorado
Heaven on earth!
About time ,some decent tracks....But a long transport to the trails .Cant you trailer closer so you don't have to do so many tar miles?
Our camp spot was prime and we really didn't expect to be on the road for that long..
Love Timberline
Fantastic trail!
Do you have any gpx files of your cool rides?
Where is this one?
I’m a loner but I travel and want to do trail blog let me know if I can hook up with some small group rides / meetups somehow
1:25 ''they got gas here, which is nice, I can fill up the tesla and the bikes here'' 🤣🤣🤣
And one more treasured riding area is disclosed to the masses.
Taylor is on ALL the OHV books and websites !
You need to watch riding planet Earth. Makes this looks like warming up
Could you please tell the name of the trail?
Come check out the alder bench trail in South Fork Co
juss give er da beans!
Always!
that looks to be timberline trail if you like that go up star trail down the road from timber line
Could definitely see me out there someday
Well worth the trip!

This part looked a little smoother.
How are yall riding on the road im from co but still don’t understand!!
What kind of KTM is that? And is it any good?
What is the name of the trail? I live in Colorado, and am always looking for new single track!
I'm staying in Fraser, CO starting this Sat July 3. Can you recommend a dirtbike rental company nearby? I can't seem to find any within 2 hrs of Fraser. Great vid and nice riding! A+ audio quality! thanks!
Hey guys im just wondering what bild you should buy bc im looking to buy one but don’t know wich one
What is the name af this trail ...? We are planning trip for Sept 2022 to CO we gonna stay close to Buena Vista and Salida. We are looking for Hard Enduro .... this looks febulous... can you Share some Info with me ...
Thanks
Are you allowed to drive in the mountains in America?
You guys rocked it! Me and buddy will be riding Colorado this summer. Looking for some dual track and single track trails. This looks GREAT but I did not catch the trail name or where your at. Do you mind sharing location so we can check it out?
Did you guys make it out there?
Does anyone know what this trail is called or how I can get directions to it?
Dude great video and great riding!
What trail was that?
Thank you! Not sure to be honest I was just along for the ride.
Looks like Timberline Trail?
Ding ding ding!
If thats the right trail Im pretty sure if you would of kept going you would get to a real nice part where the trails all flat for a little bit then It gets hella rock n ur right next to a cliff faceing a lake I road the back side of the trail but they had the rest fenced off.
Waowww..
Great 👍👍👍
Iam ENDURO AUTOMATC Indonesia
Berlangganan Saluran anda 👍
I know u are tall also, looks like u are sit-on-seat rider VS standing too? Faster rough stuff or climbs I like to stand but feel more in control and can catch a low speed spill easy when on the seat.
I try to stand 90% of the time but it really depends on the terrain.
I've lived in Colorado my whole life and it's pretty deceiving to call that trail hard Enduro it's a Lil rocky but no different than most trails around here
Have a good ol giggly time😂
You’re at my windows Home Screen 😂
Livin on the edge
What's the top places you have been? My wife and I were planning a trip to gold creek lodge, but that's a 36 hour drive one way and we decided it's too much right now. So now we are on the hunt for something on the east side of US
What size ktm are you riding? I'm 6'3" and weigh 220 and am trying to figure out what size dual sport I need. Any info is greatly appreciated.
This is a KTM 250 XCW, so not the best option for a dual sport if you plan to do a lot of on-road riding but there's plenty of other options out there that are more geared for on road use as well and come street legal from factory.
@@AdventureDaily is it big enough for me as far as my height and weight go?
Great vid
Welcome to Colorado bud
Well be there for a week in August. Our third trip!! What trail was this?
Subbed, love the ride.
How do I get in on this?! Lol I’m moving there in a few months. I used to ride when I was younger so this is making me miss it!
Hey I’m 5/11 and about 270 what’s a good starter bike for me
Yo I bet kinda bike is that it looks really nice and I’m looking for new bikes rn!
Yo what kind of bike is that***
I see mud 😒🤢. Too many rocks for me too. It is so pretty though. Did you have any difficulty breathing at 11,000 ft ? See you next time.
It didn't stick much! Breathing is definitely more difficult but it didn't affect us too much and we had a pretty heavily built trucker in the pack.
I've been riding in Colorado for about 40 years, and yes it's very rocky, but the key to conquering it easily is to ride a dirt bike that isn't tall or heavy. A small, four stroke 125 is ideal. It's not fast, but it will do it easily and not wear you out. And yes, it's tough to breathe at 11,000ft, even if you're already used to higher elevations. 13,000ft and above is where it gets really bad as far as being able to get enough air to breathe. At that point, the trick is to be patient, move slowly, and breathe deeply. And don't stay above 10,000ft for more than an hour or so. Your heart has to beat a lot faster to keep enough oxygen circulating, and that can be tiring in itself when your heart is pounding constantly.
@@trevorjameson3213 I remember riding my Harley thru Rocky Mountain National Park in 2007 and up near the top where there were no trees Both me and my bike couldn't get enough oxygen.
@@trevorjameson3213 I remember riding my Harley thru Rocky Mountain National Park in '07 and both me and my bike couldn't get enough oxygen. I thought my bike wasn't going to make it.
Im out in fort collins looking to get a bike and hit trails. Any advice on a bike and where to go? im 6 foot 2 and 240 lbs haha
Where is this
Where is this located
Sorry if I missed it, but which trail is this?
Is the trail for everyone? Or is that private property?
