Juliet, This was great advice for any new puppy parent, not just students. You have all my respect for having been able to raise a puppy. I have failed twice.

So glad I found your channel! I’m applying to med school next cycle and getting a Bernedoodle next week (crazy coincidence lol). I also super relate to your story and motivation for becoming a healthcare provider since I also moved to the states as a kid and experienced the ugly side of the US healthcare system growing up, and have seen how underserved demographics still fall through the cracks in the system as I’ve volunteered and shadowed in clinics in college.
It’s super inspiring to see you go through med school and make your dreams happen, it makes me super hopeful for my future too! Thank you for sharing your stories.

Thank you so much for your comment! I am so happy to share my story and I appreciate you sharing a bit about yourself too. I wish you all the best on your journey to become a physician. Remember to give yourself grace throughout the process. There have been many moments that I felt like it wasn't worth it/giving up even now truly. But if it is your dream, remind yourself of the "why" and most importantly, find your people and support that will be able to help you throughout your journey. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like guidance. I will try my best to respond! Wish you all the best and enjoy your bernedoodle. Misu is hands down the best decision I ever made :)

Hi Juliet - thank you for your videos. It is great to follow along with your progress with Misu and medicals. My puppy is only 17 weeks old so we are in the thick of it with potty training etc. They look alike, but my puppy, Freddy, is much smaller and a different breed. I am retired so I have lots of time to spend with Freddy, but at the same time age makes me tired so I have to plan my day to make sure we get everything necessary done. Looking forward to your next video.

Fred sounds absolutely adorable☺️ Hang in there, it gets better significantly after the potty training period. Thank you so much for your kind words and support, I really appreciate it. I hope to post another video soon with a surprise!

He’s 75% poodle and has the fading gene!

Does he have to take the heartworm/flea medication for the rest of his life?

Yes according to the vet. Better to be safe especially because the north east is high risk for ticks
