@@ThePuppetCentral the arepa is like a traditional bread of corn and both countries have a dilemma about who invented it first, venezuelans swear that they invented and even have a famous brand of corn flour to make it "harina pan" it and so colombians .. and getting deeper like 200 years ago both countries were the same country called the great colombia so i think the arepa is just a thing of both countries equally

@@TheAmerica4evr jajaja si la arepa en la gran colombia era muy comun ya que era maiz pilado y tanto en colombia ecuador y venezuela (formando la gran colombia) la hacian los indigenas pero con las separaciones colombia adopto una forma de las arepas y nosotros otra ambos tenemos arepas se hacen basicamente con los mismos ingredientes pero la preparacion es la que cambia ya despues en venezuela se conceptualizo la harina de maiz precocida que todos conocemos como harina pan en los 40-50 ecuador tiene una variante pero no se llama arepa

Entonces, podemos concluir que la arepa pertenece a los dos países. La diferencia es el estupendo y variado relleno que usamos nosotros los venezolanos que le aporta mucha riqueza a la arepa.

Make sure you find a Venezuelan to do it for you. Everytime I was in a state where the only restaurants available were Colombian, the arepas and empanadas were always subpar. And if you do happen to find an authentic Venezuelan restaurant, also try the Patacones, Cachapas, and Tequeños. And then Tres Leches or Flan for dessert. You'll never be dissatisfied with Venezuelan cuisine. ¡Está riquísimo! 🇻🇪 🍮🇻🇪🍮🇻🇪🍮
