I have a question about: "How Japanese people write their name?" For example, my surname is Yuki and my name is Yas how do i have to write it? Yuki Yas or Yas Yuki? Can you help with this problem?
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally it's of Tamil origin ^^ it's pronounced as if you're saying Slay but with an H and the sha part is pronounced like in the name Sasha so the pronounciation is like Shlaysha
My name is Ben Swayze. In my Japanese class, my name was written as ベン・スェイジー。I can't remember the exact pitch of my own name! 日本語の先生は言い方を教えてくれましたが、忘れてしまいました。。。
Even though one part appeared in today's video, how would soy say "María Antonia"? Because when it's said out loud it's pronounced "Mariantonia" like one word. How would it be in Japanese? Thank you so much 🤗
In Japanese, it might sound like one word too. I'll try to explain it in another video. I'd like to confirm one thing. When you say Antonia, do you say "ni" long?
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally Hi! The word Antonia has the strong sound on "to", so the the sound of "ni" is short! In Spanish would be "marianTOnia". Thanks for responding 😄
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally I guess I meant that there's no tendency to emphasize any syllables, or that most words are read as they appear, without any "stress". I'll use the pronunciation of the word "Nagano" as an example...
Actually, both マイケル and ホワイト are in this video. What a coincidence! ruclips.net/video/mAs3t3keM8w/видео.html Anyway, I'll pronounce your name in another video :)
Please look at Shadab's comment, and do as he does, or please send a video or something as a reply to my Tweet. Here's the link. twitter.com/naturally_speak/status/1426093765895229441?s=20 You don't have to show your face, sound only is fine

Could you please tell me how the pitch would sound like with my name? Its Hungarian.
タリ・ザラーン
ラー sounds like how you pronounce ramen.
I think it's タリ(LH) ザラーン(LHLL).
If you just say タリ without your surname, then it's タリ(HL)
H: high pitch
L: Low pitch

I got it. Thank you😄
There seems to be a "leveling" effect in the Japanese language.
Sorry, what does "leveling" mean?🤔
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally I guess I meant that there's no tendency to emphasize any syllables, or that most words are read as they appear, without any "stress". I'll use the pronunciation of the word "Nagano" as an example...
I see. Japanese is a pitch accent language, whereas English is a stress accent language. So, sure, that's the difference :)
How would I say Mary?
It's メアリー . I'll say that in another follow-up video.
Please, make a video that shows us how to pronounce names with an ''a'' ... at the end
This video has a name that ends with a, like マリア.
How would you say Craig ? 🤔
Kureigu, クレイグ ... But I'll leave the actual pronunciation for Fumi-sensei!
Yes, it's クレイグ. I'll say that in another video😄
Aayush paudel pls
I haven't heard the sound, so I'm not sure but from the spelling, it seems like アヤシュ・パウデル.
My name's fairly simple, still curious though. "Michael White" マイケル・ホワイト
