- In the early hours of Saturday, militants attacked a camp of security forces in Manipur's Bishnupur district, resulting in the death of two CRPF personnel and injuring two others. The assailants fired indiscriminately from hilltops at the 'India Reserve Battalion' camp, with the firing lasting for about 2 hours. The deceased have been identified as CRPF sub-inspector N. Sarkar and head constable Arup Saini. A search operation is ongoing to apprehend the attackers. Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh strongly condemned the assault, emphasizing the dedication of security personnel who strive to maintain peace and stability in the state.
